No sir, It depends on which stage you are, there are four stages: 1. Sharia (sacred laws) 2. Tariqa (sacred path) 3. Haqiqa (divine reality) 4. Marifa (gnosis or certain knowledge of God) According to Prophetic tradition (hadith): . Sharia consists of the words of the Prophet Muhammad, upon him be peace, . Tariqa consists of the actions of the Prophet, . Haqiqa consists of the state of the Prophet, and . Marfia consists of the secrets of the Prophet. These four ways are very closely linked together and cannot be separated one from the other. The Kalima (the sacred mantra of Islamic faith, La ilaha illallah) has four meanings according to these four ways. According to Sharia the meaning is: "There is nothing in the world that can be worshipped with certainty except Allah." According to Tariqa the meaning is: "There is none that can do a thing except Allah." According to Haqiqa the meaning is: "There is none who is sought after except Allah." According to Marifa the meaning is: "There is nothing existent except Allah." From sufistic point of view: Sharia is the divine and sacred law of Islam. It makes one distinguish between right and wrong, between forbidden and permissible actions. Tariqa is the beautification of the Sharia' whereby whatever one has understood in Sharia' is made firm in one's heart under strict spiritual discipline. In this stage one has to have complete trust in God and also have lots of patience in whatever condition God keeps him in. This is the stage where one's soul is cleansed to receive God's divine attributes. Haqiqa is the zenith of Spiritual Perfection. In this stage the attributes of God, the Most Perfect begins to manifest itself in one's self. Marifa is the goal to recognise our creator (God), or to become God-conscious in every state and action. In this state, there is no "time-space". Here only purity exists and only the pure can come close to God. In this state the seeker does not forget that he (or she) is still a servant and no matter how high he may progress spiritually he still remains the created and God the Creator. This state cannot be expressed through our very limited human faculties.

Everybody needs a master, a teacher. I disagree In fact, true religion is the only way to go to God Almighty. We are living in such a world that legalizing and formalizing is necessary. Prophets are very high spirits that has been already been able to one with God Almighty, that is the reason they have been incarnated to this world to show people the reality. There is no poison in a food cooked by a real Prophet. The problem is, there is this Satan ready to put this poison in this food. In the history, Satan has been successful too many times. That is the reason, a contemporary person without the true guidance, thinks that religions are poisonous in fact they are not. You can find these truths only in your heart. Yet, surprisingly, you will find out that from your heart, you go and find God Almighty. This is what Sufism and real core of Islam means.

Sir, First of all, Shifu Luo is a master I have respect. He is the master of more than one school. But, he is teaching Lei Shan Dao related school to his students, especially Western students. However, I do not know the other schools that he is master of. May be, just speculating, one of these schools is a Miao Tong Dao school? That is all I know, I hope it helps you. Of course, a person named Shifu Luo Kangqi, one of David's masters, does not exist, as everything related with David is a lie and Sean Denty was selling this snakeoil. P.S. Dear Flyinghigh, Thank you for correcting me. The master you are referring to is Shifu Ji, half Korean, half Chinese. He is the master of the school of Lao Tzu, sudden enlightenment school. That school follows the Miao Tong Dao path. Of course, as everybody here is thinking that David Verdesi has coined the great six dao terminology, I got surprised with the level of your question. Shifu Ji is a positive master, in fact he is the most positive master of David, free from Satan and his demons. I have great respect and love for Shifu Ji. By the way, since there is no prominent scholar or well known author of books about Taoism never heard Miao Tong Dao term, may be, there is no Shifu Ji too? I have never heard the story between Dalai Lama and Shifu Ji as I left David in 2007. I know that Dalai Lama and Shifu Ji know each other, but I do not know further details. Of course, all these information are that David has told me so you can ignore them easily. (I learnt Shifu Ji through David but later on I know him by some other means, but anyway, not to make anybody nervous in this thread, there is no Shifu Ji, no Miao Tong Dao path) Best Regards,

This kind of unnatural breath exercise should be only done with a real master. Otherwise, your neurological system will collapse. People practicing this kind of breath exercises, will immediately begin to feel something, some tingling, some warm feeling etc., they say "ohhh, I feel it" This is not necessarily a good thing. I have seen some Westerners who have exercised Theravada Buddhism breath exercising, Inhale, hold the breath and count until three or five than exhale type. Then they had all types of health problems, especially mental ones like heavy depression. Be careful everybody.

As far as I know, the Longmenpai school is using all the six Daos. I see the Yang Shen Dao and Jin Dan Dao from the book. I can not speak for the others. Their exercise done around the tree is reallllyyyy demanding on the legs of the student.
