  1. Spontaneous Kundalini Experience

The "soul" or the "energy body" is always there. The more I look at it, the more that I end up thinking that it is a bullshit track meant to deride cultivators from actually doing anything worthwhile. The body will do whatever on its own when it is healthy.
  2. Cross eyed chi kung?

I looked though the course then I discarded it. I have no inkling of what emptiness or stillness is supposed to be, that's the part that killed it for me, since I get distracted and start feeding emotions rather easily so its of no use to me. Also, I don't like the eye crossing method. According to that course, when the eyes are crossed the "soul" goes to the "source" or liver. I may be misinterpreting stuff but the interpretation that I get is that the wei chi or protective layer of the body goes to the liver. I don't like that because then the body becomes more vulnerable to invaders. Sorry I couldn't help.
  3. Cross eyed chi kung?

Actually, The course that everseeking is talking about. It does specify to change the eyesight focus to different places.
  4. It is "careful countering". It is meant for getting blood into the area, stimulating for the area to be lubricated again, and getting the hamstrings to learn to work again in order to take the load off of the tendons and ligaments on the knee.
  5. I'm able to counter the aches and pains in the knees by doing free-hand squats (where the hamstring touches the calves) for a few days. The fluid collection in the ankles that can happen from running with those ankle weights is what I worry about.
  6. I think the vest is good but I don't think the ankle weights are all that great for running three miles
  7. This stuff isn't realistic for the average person. That kind of stuff happens to the "one in a billion" kind of person. Better to spend the hours in the gym.
  8. Pathgate Institute- Any experiences?

  9. A few years ago I found out that low intensity cardiovascular training actually sped up my recovery from muscle soreness and noticeably lessened it while speeding it up.
  10. I don't see anything wrong with "spiritual materialism" From the very first try it should bring better virtue, happiness, and better & more efficient function into your life
  11. And conserving it through emptiness and mindfulness, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Rather than use his brain expenditures for stupid shit, his brain was able to utilize more resources for repair. After a while, the brain has less and less to repair. That 20% of calorie expenditures will go very far if the brain is allowed to utilize it more wisely. http://www.powershow.com/view.php?id=P1246072935ThjzU
  12. As this progresses you need to cut down on food -- so the 250 year old Chinese master whose obituary was reprinted in the NY Times -- name anyone? Anyway he lived in the mountains gathering herbs for his job -- and occasionally went down to sell herbs -- but he also had some 15 wives, thereby sucking in their female electrochemical jing energy. Apparently he was able to store that energy after transducing it into male electromagnetic chi The book "Taoist Yoga: Alchemy and Immortality" trans by Charles Luk gives the details on how to do this. I wish he would get off of the parasite bullshit, all he is doing is robbing others and himself. He already had some concept of "emptiness" when he said something about a "quiet heart". He had knowledge of herbs and medicine.
  13. Sense Pleasures

I'm beginning to understand it as the opposite. I looked at mindfulness meditation, I wish I was introduced to this first. It seems like a widening of a comfort zone by de-powering stuff that's debilitating.
  14. It wasn't destruction of body, it was neglect of body. Seems that a lot of stuff can't attach or stay attached when there is too much pressure in the body. If somebody doesn't have the right teachings for their level, then it might amplify more problems than it resolves...and if it resolves...the sensation that resolves it WILL NOT BE PLEASANT. I went through a bout of exercise (45 min on a recumbent bike). Later, I did deep breathing for 20-30 minutes. After the deep breathing, the removal of blockages was very immediate, noticeable, and pain-free.
  15. I did this and got into a world of HURT. Go right ahead
  16. Are You "Light" Enough?

A couple of years ago it took me a two to three months to start feeling heat in stomach. Thing is that I lost 35 pounds (understrength but felt a lot more comfortable). I thought I was doing well until a reliable healer told me that I'm not doing too well (he looked at a pic). Had an extremely strange and extensive healing that convinced me that I was a "heavy". Other than occasional crown breathing, rooting & 5 Gates Breathing, I haven't had a practice. I've gained 60 pounds since then. extreme "heavy" now. Both human healers that I've gotten treated by were extremely powerful so I can't really judge according to this.
  17. what does a warm air that kind of suffocates mean?
  18. http://books.google.com/books?id=A7UKjtA0Q...ody&f=false Both Mahayana Buddhism and Taoism rebuke what you said and in a very powerful way.
  19. Difficult situation...

Now all your boyfriend has to do is make it known to her that he has intentions of pressing criminal charges and suing for damages. The better if this goes Nationwide.
  20. Difficult situation...

If she keeps on then look at two possibilities: 1. Your boyfriend lied. 2. Conspiracy to defraud. A lot of the time a guy, after going through something like this, is so relieved that it is over that he doesn't look at the damage that it did to his life. A lot of women get a free pass even after failing to try to pull a fast one. If a pattern is established where guys are suing for damages and trying to press criminal charges then stuff like this wouldn't be happening.
  21. NOT QUITE JOHN CHANG BUT...

    Maybe even outright lies.
  22. NOT QUITE JOHN CHANG BUT...

I don't view Michael Winn to be credible. What he did was try to sideswipe another tradition in order to try to put more money in his pocket. When ever some of these people tell stories like this, what I look for is "What do they have to gain by telling a story like this?".
