  1. Kalydoscopic imagery when meditating

    Did you count the colors?
  2. the ma roller is a godsend to me. I laid down on it with the base of my skull on it and it fed me an image of phosphenes that was breathtaking. I saw a purple web with three black holes in line vertically, with the lowest black hole spinning All of my tendons and ligaments are starting to loosen up along with the junk and crud around them. I'm going to have to work at it a little more because I think that the mingmen is finally opening up and it feels like my spine is actually breathing.
  3. I know Ida and Pingala are the two channels on the hard palate. What is Susuma?
  4. Stern Yogis

You can walk away. You can hang around and try the yogi's practices but only keep what works safely and discard the rest. Before you try one of the yogi's practices, you may have to do an internet search to find out if it is inherently safe. If a particular mudra, chant, or position doesn't work for you for a specific objective, look on the internet and find one that works and submit that as part of your work. You may end up making the yogi's course better and more effective for students that study in the next class.
  5. What do you do with the sock and four tennis balls?
  6. at first it felt like a slight vibration, then it picked up so much power that it cramped my scalp. From the time that I posted the initial message at the top of this thread, the jing waned and has been increasing significantly for the last day and a half. I've bottomed out on two of the three biorhythms and it might have something to do with it. The only one that didn't bottom out was emotional...(along with early results) probably contributed to my uncharacteristic optimism (meridians widening and macrocosmic orbit opening in a tremendous way maybe) The sensitivity has heightened tremendously in my hands and feet. I didn't have shocks with the first muscle contraction, but I did notice that they get significantly stronger as more practice is put in a session. I felt a slight vibration (like air being pushed through) at the very beginning and it was very encouraging at the time since most people have to "visualize" it. I switch tactics in order to keep myself going into what I feel is the right direction. I'm going to have to time the middle of my next down swing with the reduction of a habit. I'm afraid to quit smoking entirely because it usually quadruples (at least) my jing production and I have a sense of moderation in that I don't want to shock my system with that kind of voltage. I advocate moderately progressive overload, adaptation, and changing of tactics I'll have to start correlating modern exercise theory with taoist theory so that I won't hit a sticking point for too long. For an example: squats and most leg work = rooting and grounding plyometrics, jumping rope = bone washing and tendon/muscle changing core work, pilates, deadlifts, back extensions = dan tien awareness, general body awareness, posture What got me into qigong in the first place was modern exercise theory since I saw a comment on one of Charles Poliquin's editorials that energy medicine (qigong, yoga, acupuncture, acupressure, and etc.) is the Way of the future. On average, his clients have made a 9-10% gain in strength with a qigong regiment. It didn't say how long they were on the qigong regiment but I keep in mind that what Mr.Poliquin suggests has to work very fast, otherwise his clientele looks elsewhere. His clients are usually elite athletes that are at the top of their game. I assume that at the elite levels, even a 1/2% gain in a month's time is an extreme jump. On a physical level, qigong is incredible.
  7. I just got some slight nausea. I don't go as far as being dizzy or disoriented for the simple reason that I love being in my body Like Michael Winn, said "shen loves jing". I love even the most unpleasant sensations that come with delayed muscle soreness simply because I have a physical body:D
  8. It's a last resort and with prudence (after a two week warm up) I think that I'm making some progress with my buddhist breathing alone. I think that I feel everything loosening. I'll take it extra slow when I get to the reverse breathing in a few months.
  9. Damn By then he should have been able to give Robert Peng and John Chang a run for their money.
  10. laying a foundation

you can practice even while you are busy and nobody will even know the difference Try doing the perineum lifts while you work and don't forget to keep the tongue up. Save the intense breathing techniques for any time that you have set aside for qigong but do some slight buddhist breathing as much as you can.
  11. I like it My mind is in the gutter and especially with 8 days of retention It's really packing some power into the orbits. I guess the "horizontal" is the source of life in more ways than one
  12. I'm starting to reconsider my answer because I sit down on the zafu and zabuton... BUT I conduct it as more of a radical (buddhist) breathing exercise that is meant to obliterate blockages.
  13. I think that it's been working a lot better for my thoracic vertebrae than my sternum. I'm wondering if my sternum is deeply calcified. If it is, then I might try staying at the bottom part of a dip movement with extremely heavy weight since I've felt a lot of stress on it before from doing it. I'm running the orbits constantly even when I'm just sitting at the computer, I don't do it in the shower though. I'm trying to develop more sensitivity and body awareness, especially the legs (since I had the early stages of frostbite a little bit over a decade ago) and the midsection.
  14. jealousy

When I see Mercedes or any "car of status" or sports car for that matter, I think car insurance, paid parking and FINDING parking, expensive parts, and etc I like keeping my life as simple as possible
  15. Compass Center Directions

I have a theory about the teacher thing. It seems that even if the teacher isn't sending chi or jing consciously, the residual chi or jing that a teacher loses finds it's way to you.
  16. The prize is going to be the amount of relief that I get afterwards I checked out the back of my eyelids while I was in the shower today. I saw an intensely green circle. http://209.85.165.104/search?q=cache:yn_om...;cd=1&gl=us It feels like I'm moving at a rapid pace with my limited practice I didn't think that it would be this effortless The nausea went away but the blockage is going to be recurring I think.
  17. I think that you are right. I released a blockage in the solar plexus a few weeks ago just trying to do some buddhist breathing. Maybe the blockage is a lot bigger than I thought. It probably doesn't help that there is a rib that is raised in that area on the front and depressed in my upper back on my left side.
  18. less letters and I forget how to spell "perineum" besides, the word "taint" sometimes makes for good conversation;)
  19. I haven't tried looking for any lights or colors yet. Mainly I use my eyes to follow the orbits movements.
  20. the taint is the area in between the genitals and the anus.
  21. I do the taint lift and butt squeeze after I do an abdomen vacuum instead of during. It took a little bit of tinkering with the muscles that do the taint lift and butt squeeze too. It also seems to be more powerful going down the conception vessel when the tongue is touching the soft palate.
  22. Hi, Good to see that you are back:) I don't have sufficient command of the English language and I don't know any Chinese. That rules me out.
  23. Everyone's weird today

Weird is right. I saw a classmate that died a little over 15 years ago in a dream. I said to him, "I thought that you died" and the dream ended right there I think http://www.legalrightsadvice.com/NewYorkObserver.jsp In another one, I was walking with my mom into some sort of establishment. The greeter greeted us and said that "parents are going to be held responsible for their children", I gave a look to my mom and gave the "evil laugh".
  24. Zeev Kolman

What exactly happens during higher inner alchemy because it seems that the majority of the people that go through it are super slender and a minority are slightly plum. Then again, the only person that I met face to face was Robert Peng and he looked to be muscular/regular. It was kind of comforting to be able to look straight at him then to have to look up since I'm a hair under five and a half feet tall
