This coming full Moon is ' The Hunter's Moon ' . What;'s going on with that ? It's more of a physical thting than any mystical or 'energetic thing ' ( although it may have cross over effects into those areas . For obscure astronomical mathematical reasons that I cant bother to nut out .... we will have 'more full Moon light at night ' over this three day full Moon period . I had to word that carefully , here is what happens ; Most of the time, the Moon rises around 2 hrs later each night , so on your regular Full Moon , the first night , the Moon comes up some time around sunset ( depending on locality ) , the next night , 2 hrs later ( so you have 'missed' 2 hours of night time full Moon , as the Moon will be in the sky (just ) for the same length of time , but it will be after dawn . The next night, another 2 hours later , so thats 4 hours short of the first night , and so on . But on the Hunter's Moon , the Moon comes up only 1 hr later each night , giving a three day cycle with the full moon out at night , for a longer time . Hence, the benefit for hunters . It also might appear more 'red' than usual . be careful not to get Moonburn [ I have noticed this when putting on night events , festivals, etc . they are best timed before the full Moon , so when it gets dark the Moon is already up ( especially if you have a higher eastern horizon eg . the case with our festival site , its next to the river, so in a valley with hills to the east) , you tend not to need the Moon light during the early morning hours as most are asleep ( usually ) . I need to divert to UNPOPULAR ACTIONS Wow ! So, the last couple of days I have had , apparently, an abscess under a tooth . It came on like <snap> that . VERY painful , spread into glands , got an ear ache , got into jaw joint . ( So , I guess my last few days of posts where done in a very 'altered state' .... oh- o ! . ) I managed to get an emergency appointment with my dentist in little city out by the coast . By then things had relieved somewhat . I joked with him as usual , he is Indian and also has a Royal Enfield ( motorcycle ) . They have a new waiting room, got shelves and he has put 'decor' on them including little Lambrette scooter model and a Porche model car . I point to the Lambretta " Ha ! You finally swapped your Enfield for a scooter ! .... and why the Porche ? " "Thats what I want to save to buy ? " Me ; " Save up ? I would have thought after my last lot of work ... you would already have one ! " ( it was $320 for an extraction this time ... he gave me $20 off , because .... I have been recently reviewing Aboriginal Kinship systems . I encountered this recently and it seemed to me that the Aboriginals acknowledged , not just this polarity fundamentally , but its extension into everything . 'above the crown' for Noon the one between lower and Solar for Sunset . Not a Chinese system though . Although each used a 'mudra' ; palms held outwards, thumbs extended , index finger tips joined and thumb tips joined to make a triangle in the middle space : triangle pointing down , framing the lower centre , palms in triangle pointing up , framing the third eye, palms out triangle pointing up, above the head , palms out triangle pointing down , framing the 'hara' , palms in . In context this is all a 'solar ritual' / meditation . It may not be ( or the correlation LTD : Midnight ) may not be relevent , depending on what meditation you are doing ( ie. the why and what for of it ) .

Well, I am calling her a mermaid . That's how she started . If age comes into it she seemed about 30 yo , I was probably about 7 - just the right age for 'connection ' . She didnt have the classic mermaid tail though , not that I could see , that part of her was obscured by seaweed . I thought it was all swirling seaweed at first ; long dark and light green ribbon weed , billowing and flowing on the outgoing tide , about 1 1/2 mt deep . Then I saw orange reddish 'weed' billowing into it , I realised it was much too fine to be weed so I peered closer into it and then saw a very human eye and the top part of a woman's face looking at me . I was instantly worried realising she could not breathe down there , but she looked calm and at ease and was smiling . Ever the rationalist, even at that age , I thought , silly me, it cant be a woman under the water , it must be a reflection on the surface ( it seems my rational mind never wondered why a woman would be hovering up in the air over the water) , so I looked up and saw ' the other version of her ' in a split in the sky like a radiant 'yoni' shape with her in the middle . A ray of light came from her and beamed into my third eye ( which I never knew I had then ), like some type of huge 'download' and a 'busy' type of fast 'signal noise' . . . other stuff happened , to shorten the story, 'she' and her energy have been with me ever since . As far as astrology indicating proclivities , I also have a strong Neptune ( a 'higher' vibe 'mystical' 'absorptive', 'feminine', 'vibe' . . . and 'watery' , which is balanced ( thank goodness ) by a fairly stable Mercury . Another correlation in connection with the sea is the image and the 'icon ' Stella Maris' ( which I have written about in other posts ) being a patron of the sea and sailors , particularly people in distressed on the sea . The sea is a symbol of the unconscious, the surface , perhaps the conscious that , if not calm and still, distorts any image that comes into it . This also gels with me , being a long term 'psychonaut' . . . one who undertakes ' the internal journey' . So, from my perspective, this experience was a crucial node , a connection to my 'essential energy / astrological make-up ' and understanding myself . Not that it happened back then, it took years and years of other experiences, ' tie ins', learning things and I think very significantly was the months long workshop I did on reading your own natal chart and interpreting it yourself . Boy did that put a lot of pieces together ! Not only just to explain ' this is how you are ' ... but also, strangely a lot of the unusual stuff that happened to me . I have observed something nearly similar in others , friends that I got to know well , some of them too have 'issues' , luck , strange events , etc . in specific areas or fields , connected to certain energies .

I particularly liked your comment in 5 : I too think the '4th' element ( Earth ) is a product of the other three . This has interesting implications in that all manifestations of the 'elemental pattern' would follow likewise ; for example , the four forces of physics . This would make gravity a product of the weak force, great force and electromagnetic force and perhaps why a unified field theory could not include gravity ( being a product of the other three ) . The other arrangement I have is to have Air at the top (it 'connects with ' or 'is' 'Spirit' * ) and below that is Fire and Water , as they are a polarity , Air is the mediator ; this is reflected in the inner (personal ) planets with the Mars / Venus dynamic with Mercury as the mediator . And that triangular relationship 'creates' Earth (or creates the pattern in Moon and is solidified in Earth) .
