I consider some are , but IMV most are related to conditioning, mostly laid down in early life . In those cases they are often embedded and can be unconscious - the person may not even know the cause of an emotive reaction . Then again , I suppose it depends on how one defines the concept and parameters of 'ego' .

The effects of full moon on your practice and energy levels

Or even the fish tank . Yesterday evening they where all 'going off' . A LOT of swimming around , everything in there , big fish, the new babies, the crayfish, the water beetles . I put food in, they didnt want that ... I added some live wrigglers ( their favorite- mosquito lava )... nope . I went outside, the same in the two outside ponds . They seem to want to go beyond their confines , maybe its linked to 'migratory' stuff ? Then just after that a huge bright full moon arose . By the time it was directly overhead things returned to normal. Then there where three different types of owl calls going outside . And for some some reason, the human animal ( me ) had a good nights sleep . -
That should be part of the Magician's path and the meditations and practices on that subject should be part of the curriculum . Indeed in some cases we told its useless to proceed without this knowledge . Of course it must be a good and valid magical path ... just like we see here with 'oriental magics', there can be some negative manifestations . Systems like those with a valid magical background and modern psychological / therapeutic approach are best used for this approach eg. see Israel Regardie .

Yes. I see that as the path ( or 'way of' ) Mercury . Sorry if this a boring repeat of what I have written a few times before , but to me , its one of those gems that, if I do without it , I just end up in the same boat as 'everyone else' .... urk! no thanks . Anyway , I see the 'relationship dynamic' as a triangle; Venus and Mars are the base line , that is how most relationship dynamics unfold, and yes that can work for many . It can also be the 'age old' dynamic ( or trap ) .... its the typical Old Aeon man / woman (or 'active passive' ) relationship .... we are conditioned still by many things and they often play out in the unconscious and surface in dynamic situations like relationships . Mercury is the reconciler , the one with a viewpoint and actions above that base line , the one that sees further and can transmute the other forces. Androgynous and the Magician , one that has access to both heaven and hell and a whole lot of other stuff that can be realized from study of the relevant astrological and mythic relationships between those three forces. Of course, it is based on the underlying principle of three in everything . For me, I want my relationships to be magical ... if people dont get that I switch terms to 'spiritual' . If they dont get that I switch terms to "Our Angels have to like each other ." At the moment I am at the beginning of something rather wonderful and magical . ... the casual greeting and departure hugs are getting longer and more 'energetic' ... 'that look' in the eyes , the 'faint fresh flame of the new year flashes, from leaf to flower and flower to fruit" . There is a HUGE age difference , but I have learned to not let that stand in the way (after last time .... it seemed to make little difference to us , any difference could be turned into an advantage ... yet again, it would not have worked without my 'mercurial' perspectives and actions ) a very beautiful, dynamic and graceful person and spirit , very capable , has her own business, just sold property and moved here and has the most wonderful little 4 year old girl that appears to have fallen in love with me ( as her mother informs me ) ... perhaps it is 'catching ' . .... to get one of those hugs and that look and then when I depart , they leave the others and come out and wave and say goodbye again ... again with that look in the eyes ... and although I am internally skipping away like a 12 year old school boy after his first kiss ....Here is the trick ... ( and Mercury and Magicians should be good at tricks ) ... I will maintain ;

The effects of full moon on your practice and energy levels

Like I have said, many things in nature are regulated by the Moon's position relative to local environment ; 'Moonrise' , Moon 'overhead' ( M. C. ) , Moon setting and Moon 'underoot' ( I.C. ) - I like the handy chart above but have always wanted a Moon clock that showed the positions ( eg. Moonrise would be the 9 o'clock position, MC at 12, Moonset at 3 and Moon's IC at 6 ) - it would only need one hand on the clock . ... or maybe 2 , one for the Sun and one for the Moon. Then one could work the phases tides out at a glance . This one is close to the idea , but does not show Moons position ; -
The effects of full moon on your practice and energy levels

" Informative " ? So ... its " On the exact time of the full moon, as well as two days before and 2 days after" .... I shall make a note that for four days each month I should " refrain from various commitments " to ensure I do not experience " insanity, violence, crime, and accidents to romance, spiritual experiences and illumination " . I shall also beware of having good luck and bad luck , arguments and clear communication , sadness and laughter and war and peace . I am advised to stay at home and travel, talk and be silent and fast and feast . . -

The last 6 months I worked at the hospital ... I lived in the Nurse's Home , on site : Cafeteria meals $6 , gym, squash courts, swimming pool , 15km from beach and three floors of nurses That was fun .

In that case I would use the LBRG .

Exo-psychology ; Circuit 1 - Neuro-somatic . Fight flight syndrome . Instinctual . 'Non-individual'. Circuit 3 - artistic creative ( better convert your walls to black boards , they gonna draw all over everything and leave their hand prints everywhere - a development of ego and identity ) . Circuit 2 - Anal territorial . Self and its boundaries are explored . The child is introduced (and rebels against ) 'social responsibilities' . Cuircuit 4 - Socio-sexual . Child goes through puberty . Thats the left brain ( right 'side' ) above, now we 'cross over' to the other 4 circuits of the right brain . The 'crossing' is somewhat an 'abyss' . The left and right start to work (hopefully) in some type of harmony . Forces from the 'unconscious' may 'arise' . Yes it is , but it helps us to see it as more than that . Consider Ma'at . And many other cultures aside from the ancient Egyptian have similar concepts . -
Lets look at the parts of the LBRP 1 . 'The cross of light' - I consider that 'invoking', in away. 2. Setting a pentagram and 'God-name' in each quarter - might be considered 'invoking' . 3. 'Pushing the pentagram out ' ( as some do ) and going from 1/4 to 1/4 - might be considered 'banishing' . 4. 'Setting the Archangels' or Elements at each 1/4 - I consider invoking . 5. ' The 5 / 6 , pentagram, hexagram' ... 'assumption' ( hmmmm ... could be both ) . 6. End with another cross - 'invoking' . Also a 'consideration for mediation ' ..... how does one 'banish' darkness ? - By turning on ( or invoking ) the light .
-
Let's forget about those terms as they apply to specific rituals, as such, but look at them more generally . Consider the 'banishing' ritual of the pentagram , how does that start ? I would say the first process is an invocation . Depending on what form of LBRP you are looking at, I am assuming it starts with 'bringing down' energy and making a cross of light in yourself ; invoking and balancing forces . Then, the person thus 'charged' , does the banishing ritual . Then when the forces are banished / balanced , the ritual ends with another invocation of the 'cross of light' . To me it seems like the process of 'gradual purification ' 'one has to start some where ' . Eg . In some systems the making of one's magical tools need other magical tools - the symbols on some things might be charged by tracing over them with the magical dagger. But the magical dagger has symbols on it too , what is going to trace them ? The wand ? But that was symbols on it too . At some stage, we have to begin work with some type of 'Prima Materia' . ( Yeah ... I know , 'nowadays' you just buy a 'ready' magical dagger on-line ....... ) That might be behind why some groups get 'beginners' well up on the banishing ritual before they undertake invocations . Like making sure the 'kid' know where the breaks are and how to use them before you take off down hill on the pushbike ! In the larger view and looking at magical applications in 'real life' , at first it seems best for the beginner to 'banish' - keep a clear or 'sacred space' around you .... 'push away' the negative . After some time of practice ( and learning ) it changes to more of an 'invocation' , in that one absorbs the energies and leans to transmute / balance them with other energies that can be absorbed or exist within . In a way , it is similar to the approach in ' karate ' - modern ( school kid karate - as that's what it was designed for ; primary school kids physical fitness program in Okinawa ) - they teach you to 'block' attacks and those 'blocks' come with names like 'bari' or 'uke' , which dont mean 'block' at all , but describe the original , practical and workable techniques ; 'absorb' , 'spear' , 'enter' etc . One allows or even 'helps' the force into your 'sphere' and then that force is manipulated . - I am trying to be general here , and not specific nor focus exactly on ritual . Donald seems to have taken that up and I think it's best to hear that side of things from one source . Its a good source .... there is 'other advice' about which is rather, fantastic, imaginative and illusory, and very ..... I'll say 'self relevant' for the people that give it out - and I doubt it is based on relevant magical practice anyway .

Well, I was stunned about this . I assume it is true . I was with some Aboriginal friends visiting and we had just returned from a walk with them across the river, through forest and up to one of the waterfalls opposite my place . When we where chilling afterwards ' Uncle' said ; " We like walking in the bush with you . " " Why is that ?" " You follow the small animal trails and stick to the clear parts . " " .... Ummmm , yeah . And .... ? " " Most whitefellahs dont do that ?" " What do they do ? " " Well, they stick to the clear parts so their body isnt hindered by the undergrowth, mostly , but they dont pay attention to the ground , walking on the plants and the tiny tree seedlings, clumping along in their boots , picking the worse way to go . You where following a bandicoote track at one stage . " " Ah, but you see, I live here, I got familiar with the surround, I learnt 'awareness and harmony' in this environment - eventually . I remember the first day I got here many years ago, I came to visit a friend. her house was pointed out in the distance. I decided to make a 'bee line' for it, although I was advised to go around by road . All I had to do was cross a small gully and creek . I did and ran straight into a stinging tree - which I never knew existed - until that day ! Took three days for my swollen forearm to go down and the pain was still around a week later . " - Thats another lesson ! Some people just seem to 'stomp through' life , with no awareness or consideration of the trail of destruction they leave behind them . And similarly - I remember being taught as a kid in history class about some great Aussie icons ; Blaxland, Lawson and Wentworth ... eventually found a way out the Sydney Basin, over the Blue Mountains to the west and 'opening up' the interior . Along with other 'great explorers' .... eventually they made friends with some Aboriginals that showed them the way through the mountains , they been doing it for 1000s of years , and probably originally followed the animal routes . ( Most Aussie explorers either failed , died or where successful after being saved or helped by Aboriginals . )

Flood surfing . Highly illegal and dangerous .... dont do it folks ! But I used to - when a lot younger . Padded plastic skateboard / BMX protection gear ( good for buoyancy too ) a helmet , hand swim fins . If you DONT go with the Dao ( the flow , the currents and eddies, the surges and stalls ... and more specifically be able to 'read ' all that before it happens to you so you know where to be beforehand and position yourself , using the 'smaller forces' to position yourself as you enter the large ones, which you may have very little or non control over when you enter . Of course, success is not through Dao alone ; one should know the territory , be prepared and fit for the the task at hand ( fit - in more than one sense of the word ) and , perhaps mostly, have a big dose of damn good luck ! Just like 'real life' . - or one could be ultimate Daoist in such circumstances .... sit at home and watch the rain through the window

Well, that has been the issue hasn't it .... since the spread of Indo Europeans . The feminine and all related aspects ( like the soul, nature, environment, nurturing , etc ) have suffered depletion . https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Old_Europe_(archaeology)

But ..... 'illogical' .

Damn aliens ! Thats why I had to miss work several times in my working life ..... the bastards would nab me in the morning, fly off and then dump me at a beach far away !

Oooooo ! Now you have done it ! This is veering away from telepathy but your post above has touched upon certain 'realities' . However it is about 'hearing voices in your head' . I will briefly mention the 'presence of the other' .... one aspect known as 'the third man' . It isn't common , but it has been reported a LOT more than once or twice . I won't go into that as more important stuff is afoot , but here is a start on it for one's own research : Ernest Shackleton - probably one of the greatest heroes of modern times https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Third_man_factor Moving on the to her things you mentioned; 'Entities' and ' Active Forces in the Universe' : or ... 'spirits of a higher or lower order ' . Considering the individual psyche - spirits of a lower order may be personified 'drives' ( as in psychological drives ) , incorporated but communicative OR 'breaking corporation' - ie. striving or believing , and striving to get you to believe they are a separate entity . Of course the psyche may experience communication from 'outside' spirits , on various levels but these ones are 'connected to us ' , part of us , as if in a vertical stream ( we can see the outside forces as around this stream , hence we 'stand at the crossroads ' ) . The forces 'above us', the higher spirits that communicate directly with our psyche ( and actually make up part of our psyche ... or if one prefers the term 'superconscious' ) are more like Universal forces . There is a great difference and these can be detected and tested . (This is all part of evocation, and modern 'break through' psychiatry - see below ) . Eg, a lower spirit (or, in psychiatry, 'hallucination of the lower order ) claims separate identity , something like a person name, claims knowledge and psychic powers ( but when tested further or researched are shown to be only what the person in question knows or has past experience of ) The can work to the detriment of the person and in the past have been considered 'evil' or 'demons' . They suggest things like self harm , violent acts , etc (in common terms , they have 'gone crazy' , some 'criminally insane ' . But spirits (and hallucinations ) of a higher order do not claim names but titles , often describing energies and forces and principles, they offer help and assistance and suggest benevolent actions , they can 'redeem' in ties of danger and crisis (including the 'psychiatric crises' mentioned above ) . There is a lot more , I am being brief here (references below for further info and aback up of what I am outlining , from clinical professional trials ) . This bit : " It begs the questions - Can they only provide you with information(through your mind) and the decision to act is in your hands or can they act on your behalf by controlling you? And how does this work in terms of animals and inorganic matter?" That's up to the individual whether they are controlled or not , in bad cases they seem to have relinquished control ( eg a patient complains a demon is torturing their hand , they begin shielding their hand , in chronic cases they may end up doing nothing but sitting there holding their hand into their stomach and curling up ( again see below for detailed examples ) , they are often termed 'hopeless cases' and treatment stops replaced by drug 'therapy' (basically anaesthetisation ) . BUT one thing stands out , a lower force will TRY to control you against your will but a higher force will never try that . They offer suggestions, 'beam energy' give hope and inspirations and yes, sometimes seem able to influence the physical plane , especially in times of danger or despair for the person in question . Its my personal view that some types of people are more susceptible to the higher and others to the lower . In magic we learn to understand control appease and integrate the lower and invoke the higher . Still, in this great 'scheme of things we have certain 'rights' but also responsibilities - ' The Contract at the Crossroads ' - but that's another big subject . To look into this further I highly recommend Modern clinical psychiatric research affirms magical principles of evocation and invocation ; A Confirmation of Swedenborg in Recent Empirical Findings https://selfdefinition.org/hearing-voices/articles/wilson-van-dusen-presence-of-spirits-in-madness.htm Also see ; https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daimon PS . This is what I LUV about studying cultural anthropology ; I have encountered this exact same knowledge and practice (of course in different cultural clothing , practice and metaphor ) in Australian Aboriginal teachings ( but here presented in such a simple and basic way, its astounding ! ) and all the way through to Voodoo ceremonies I have been involved in . Malu Gurruwiw - Starpole ritual. .... gonna drum myself out now

Hey blue eyes ! Where ya been lately ?

Well, Crowley, Levi, and the usual 'other occultists' of the time have influenced , in some degree or other , most of the other 'occults' who made synthesis of their works combined with their own 'take and experience' in the tradition , and then made a separate ( their own) system out of that . Another issue is does one want to follow the tradition and the 'classic' work and authors and then develop your own synthesis and system , or follow another's system that did that for themselves . Even the 'originators' ( ) make it clear that their system is theirs and only put down as an example and encourage the student to develop their own based on certain principles . Crowley in particular goes to great lengths to explain that and even warning and laying down a potential 'curse' * on them if the do try to 'slavishly copy' his system and rituals . Otherwise you will end up doing Crowley's (or any other person's ) system, adapted for them .... and not your own adapted for you . A classic example was the magician couple ( Zelewski's I think ) that had a series of popular books out a few decades back on Enochian and pathworking . The eithers where full of descriptions of their own experience and considered valid for everyone ; ' If you dont take this guardian's sword ( who looks like this and is dressed like this ) , you may not proceed . Seems more like Dungeons and Dragons . * to be haunted by 'The Demon Crowley' . One way is the path other mystic, the other the follower , for example, in religion, say Christianity , one could strive to become like Jesus by undergoing similar practices he did ( or any other teacher , a large part centred on periods of isolation and introspection ) and become 'Christ or Buddha' like .... or one could consider 'illumination or enlightenment ' solely the teachers domain and they are to follow instructions, codes, morals etc. and prescribed ritual . - anyway, you will be getting into Mouni Sadhu ( and receiving more from Donald - they are good sources too . Do you study Tarot ? [ In case the above was confusing tarot can be used as another example ; some people like to learn how to use tarot and do their own consultations - other feel that is not for them and go to a card reader instead. ] .
-
So you meant ; the Christian concept of soul .
-
Why ? Its just that different cultures have different languages . Should the word for 'dog' be 'dog' in Indonesian ? I think you missed my point ... what the hell is 'the Christian soul body ' ?
-
..... also I am wondering if we can equate ... or perhaps 'originate' ( ? ) the above concepts with the ancient Egyptian ones of 'neter' ?
