When i worked as an orderly in the hospital, our boss , the 'head orderly' was way past retirement, in his late 70s - fit and active, never took sick days . He was still on his 'Navy rations' that started as a teen in the navy ; everyday , a 1/2 bottle of sherry and a 1/2 packet of unfiltered Capstan cigarettes . I was rather impressed that he never increased the dosage .

Maybe 'soul' needs to do this ; " .. For a single exposure by ingestion, gastric decontamination by emesis or gastric lavage may be beneficial soon after exposure " or maybe 'soul' should not eat chocolate ?

Well. 10 people that make a noise about it . We have no idea how many 'silent comprehenders' are out there ' I'd be surprised if there where 10 people that could understand just parts of the system , or individual chapters . Like the attribution of the tarot to the cosmos - even on a Golden Dawn tarot internet discussion some years back , no one seemed to know the layout and the system . It is somewhat dated and Victorian * but that can easily be remedied by one with a little knowledge and insight . The thing is the whole GD system is dated and Victorian , so anyone that 'gets it' would need to update it as well ... that number might be a LOT less than 10 . * No cards are attributed below the equator due to ' the lack of spirit / spiritual development ' (cant remember the exact quote but something like that ) - a reflection of attitudes about 'superiority' .

No , I replied ; " No. Temperatures went down. " not 'No temperatures went down ' I am not backtracking, you just cant read properly . I see you are pointing out that 'civilization is older than now ' . Really ? Seems you cant write properly either . Now you mention 'longskull evidence from around the world' with no other reference to that at all, even what you mean by it and what the hell such stupid conspiracy crap relates to vegetarianism through history (like you are trying to claim) ... and now, that older socieites where more compassionate than present .... all without a shred of evidence or even intelligent observation - just a half understood and explained mishmash of internet and you tube snippets bought together to to support some self supported idea of yours that the world was compassionate and vegetarian before the 'horrible nasty carnivorous present. ' and you say I am the one making this embarrassing ?

Does anyone meditation with a timer? Or not?

Well, I dont like that on an ordinary alarm either . My phone alarm selected is very placid and starts off low building in volume . -
Does anyone meditation with a timer? Or not?
Nungali replied to EFreethought's topic in General Discussion
and then ... it gets interesting ; I used to set an alarm for my midnight meditation . After a while I would wake up automatically just as or before the alarm went off . Then after a while I I would instantly wake up, alert and fully awake, very quickly .... bing ! Then a moment later the alarm would go off . So I eventually stopped using it . Auto wake up, do my meditation go back to sleep . But then the next stage was, some mornings I had no memory of waking up and doing it and could not be sure I actually did it . So I thought to make note of that ; Here I am , past midnight 'pinching' myself - yes I am definitely awake . I will do this each time . Some times I had a memory of it in the mornings , other times not . So I started leaving myself a note to say I had been awake and done my meditation. Some mornings I had no recollection whatsoever of doing it that night , yet there was the note on the bedside table . Sleep walking is weird enough ... but to be getting up and doing meditating in the middle of the night ( which involves recitations and actions as well ) , fully conscious and having no recollection of that is a strange feeling . ( Who is that 'other guy' doing these night medications that I have no memory of - 'night self ' , who is that guy that wakes up in the morning and will not remember this? ) . -
No, I am refuting your claims of ancient unknown vegetarian religion . Not asteroid impacts . You seem to be having trouble focusing on your own subject matter here . I would if written words made sound . What I wrote was that average Earth temperatures went down .... it was YOU refuting that all of the Earth was not frozen over . Now you have somehow morphed that into refuting a claim I never made about all of the Earth turning into Tundra . ( I know these types ; build a straw man attack it, make a pathetic unconnected argument and when shown to be wrong - off they go in a huff 'refusing to talk to you ' anymore Yep, there he goes . Bye -bye . I know there is a crater there . They are all over the place . The one you linked to is old ; " age estimates for the new crater might be more like a hundred thousand to a hundred million years old. " No doubt they had a 100,000,000 year old vegetarian religion too !

Does anyone meditation with a timer? Or not?
Nungali replied to EFreethought's topic in General Discussion
I would use an alarm to know when to start a meditation ... for the midnight meditation . Or if I was up late beyond midnight already , I would set it for the dawn one . The noon and sunset one was done visually . I never needed a timer as I just did my meditation as instructed and that is 'as long as it takes ' , usually less than 15 mins , but it was set ( meaning it was 'active' meditation - 'awareness' ; not some state where I could not tell how much time passed . Perhaps if i did enter into some state like that at the end of each session ( where the 'set' meditation has a space for more free form 'contemplation' ) I would mentally 'set' a time . But please dont tell me people are getting specific meditation timers with little gong noises and such ...... ummm , whats wrong with a phone timer where you can choose an alarm sound you like ? I would even go as far as to suggest that if you are buying crap and trinkets like that for 'meditation' ..... you need to assess what you are meditating on and how and why ... and if it is getting through to you . ( meaning are your ' unconscious drives' that lead your 'conscious' behavior being affected by your meditations ? ) -
Well well well ... who would have thought our nice little liminal luke was secretly out to repress people ! Okay out comes my list ; The Catholic School and religion. My big brother . The State . The Attorney- General. That neo-Nazi gang. Undercover white supremacy Australians. Marga Polenka (note; all unsuccessful ) and now ( writes in ) .... 'Liminal Luke ' .

No , world wide average temps went down . Now you are going to claim 'science quakery' on that , arn't you ? Isnt it 'curious' that on the one hand you cite science ( actually " our scientist " .... ? one assumes your 'home town' has its own scientist ) lidar and NASA when it backs up your prejudices ... yet if it doesnt it automatically becomes invalid and " doesn't suit their paradigm and most of them are afraid of their own precious careers to have a shread of decency " .... except for 'your scientist ' . I dont suppose you realize how ridiculous that sounds to everyone else except you ? .

I bet he is going to say ..... "Thats why the religiously vegetarian longskulls died out . "

What has that got to do with it ? You where first claiming and I was later responding about religion, not civilization . You dont know what you are talking about , if you did , you could say what 'civilization' Siberian Shamanism comes from . Ah ... another 'youtube professor' eh ? A fan of Mr. Handcock ? I suppose this is your answer to my request about a date for your 'back in the day ' . And how do you know these people had a vegetarian religion ? Let me guess , some 'theosophical mystic' with 'astral vision' told you . Gosh ! really ? .... tell me more . And you know these 300 , 000 year old religions where vegetarian too ? Oh ? Okay, so then you DONT know what religions they had or if they where vegetarian then . It is you who are actually the ignorant one here . And to cover up how you little you know, you have adopted modern new age bullshit to cover up the lack of knowledge you have about our sources of religion and belief . ' Actual past ' ....

I did it by getting out of the modern world as much as I felt comfortable to do . Well, not so much the modern world but its crowds and clutter . Also organisation was needed to set up the essentials of life . Its easier to be spontaneous about each day when you dont have to go to work . The best solution might be to be resigned with the the overall sameness of the modern life style by being spontaneous in your reactions and actions within that world and its dynamics (sorta like what Taomeow's nurse did above ) . But then , I have my favourable, habitual , 'spontaneity' now , which might not be spontaneous any more ? So sometimes I throw caution to the wind and habit and comfort . Then , even I dont know what I am about to do or what will come out of it . Its hard to do, and even harder to do when you are not set up for that . Eg. Once , I went ' totally sponto ' - determined to make a day of it . I ended up in town by the river . I saw a woman there in a campervan, said a few words to her then ... spontaneously " You are on the run, aren't you ? " She was . I told her to come and stay at my place , to follow me . Okay, this is getting weird , what have I done . " Later , I got her story , domestic abuse , crazy partner , her house but he will not go , two days ago she is hiding under the house looking out , seeing him stalking around with a shotgun, looking for her . It goes on ... she was an absolute psychological mess . She didnt even know why she went off with a stranger ( me ) . We where driving around our property in my car, next thing she is crouched down on the front passenger floor ! I asked why , it was becasue she saw a person in the distance . After some talks I realised I might actually be able to get through to her , she began improving . She was great actually , set up her van in front field , worked like a beaver ( I came home once in poring rain and she was in wet weather gear , weeding the garden ). She even improved enough to go over to our amenities block by herself for a hot shower . She comes back describing a man she met there .... "Oh him , the little meek guy that thinks he is a hobbit or something ? ... He's okay, a bit useless but harmless . " She actually talked to a stranger . next thing he is inviting her to dinner .... then dating ... then ....... Hey ! ..... 'my gardener ' ! Then she decides she has to go back and get her house back , so off she goes . Then Mr . Meek hobbit goes after her ! ... fronts the mad biker guy ; " She's MY woman now ! " , somehow he chases him off , then they come back here and decide to get married ! She gets a new guy / life , and he gets his first partner in 30 years and a wife with a house . And I got .... ..... no more gardener ? I went to their wedding , just after the ceremony she makes a little speech ; " What a surprise, eh? Who would have ought , lest of all me . This all started when I met that guy ( points at me ) down at the river ...... " - one never knows what may eventuate when you 'let angels guide your feet' .

If you are not using some form or similar to MP / LBPR and doing that work , you are heading for trouble . Especially where evocation is practised . I would also note the warnings about not having a 'clear bill of mental health' before undertaking such as well . 'Theosophical stream' The 'Theosophical stream' was never really noted for practical instruction in magic . That is why members started leaving back then and went to G.D. or other practical magical orders . So one has to look into Bardon's 'tradition' and where he learned things . For MP / LBPR info I recommend Regardie , an accomplished and respected magician, GD member (and virtual saviour of that tradition ) AND a psycho-analyst .

Back in what day and in what religion ? PIE religions and Siberian shamanism are the source of most religions today ; both where herders originally and, of course , ate what they herded . Moving along with what religions came out of these sources : Zoroastrianism ; herders and meat eaters , although they made legislation for animal reforms / treatment . They heavily influenced Judasim, Christianity, Islam, Baha'i - all meat eaters the other branch developed Vedic religion, meat eaters until much later in their history and only some of them . The other stream ; reformed Bon , meat eaters . Buddhists ? some vego some meat eaters . Then there is the far eastern stream ; Shinto, Confucianism , Taoism .... vego ? So : Back in what day and in what religion ?

Snakes there as well : In the beginning, before the Dreamtime , the Earth was a flat featureless disc, on it was Ungud the 'Rainbow Serpent' - nothing else . In the sky was Wallenganda - big black snake , river in the sky ( the dark void part of the Milk Way ) and all along that river where camped her children , you could see their camp fires twinkling up there , alongside the river . Ungud would lie on the Earth and look up to them . Wallenganda saw this , so she " Why you staring at me ?" And Ungud told her ; " Because you look so beautiful .... up there , with all your children . But I have no children, I am down here all alone . " So Wallenganda felt sorry for Ungud, she lowered her head from the heavens and spat down water on the Earth , Ungud circled around it and bought it together and dived down through the sand taking the water with him . Where he went down, that made a big sandhill that later turned to stone - Uluru . Down there her gathered the water together and went to sleep in it . And in that sleep he had a dream ...... " ( the dream is all this - that we experience ; 'life' ..... I had to shorten and end off there ..... it is a very long story . But it shows the primary pairing being snakes - ) in some ancient Egyptian creation myth it is two frogs . Kek & Kauket ( frogs in pond : " Kek ..... kek Other frog ; "Kauket " ... and so on ) -

I said his 'music' sounded like my Mum's old broken washing machine and in response he posted an image that 'people from the States * ' consider a masterpiece . . .although it really was not generated by his computer . Get it ? ...... I don't . * not sure what 'States' he means ; political or 'psychological ' .

The post above your last , reminds me of a 'certain book - especially your 'Salted Dog' . Also its 'chapters' are set out the same way ; eg ΚΕΦΑΛΗ Δ PEACHES Soft and hollow, how thou dost overcome the hard and full! It dies, it gives itself; to Thee is the fruit! Be thou the Bride; thou shalt be the Mother hereafter. To all impressions thus. Let them not overcome thee; yet let them breed within thee. The least of the impressions, come to its perfection, is Pan. Receive a thousand lovers; thou shalt bear but One Child. This child shall be the heir of Fate the Father. - except in this book, each chapter has a commentary . Perhaps this is a 'manual to stumble upon ' ? (That is, if it was not your 'inspiration' ) . ... -
Then I am being confused by your language and syntax .... in a few places .

I have no problem with autonomy ( informed, uncoerced decision ) and it seems to go along with one's development or unfolding of one's Dharma.

I cant say whether it exists as an independent force in the Universe , as perhaps the ancient Egyptians and others did /do . So not wholly objective ... but it CAN be personally objective if its source is the 'super conscious ' ... but that is a musing on my part . Maybe it IS a Universal force and it does regulate all sorts of stuff .... I'll let you know about that one .... after I am dead

Originating in the 'Levant ' : " The Levant is an approximate historical geographical term referring to a large area in the Eastern Mediterranean region of Western Asia. In its narrowest sense, which is in use today in archaeology and other cultural contexts, it is equivalent to a stretch of land bordering the Mediterranean in southwestern Asia," But basically ; Judaism, Christianity , Islam . Heavily influenced by Zoroastrianism ( from 'Western Asia' ) . Dharmic religions are basically the more eastern ones , Hinduism, Buddhism, etc . But both streams came out the same source . No Abrahamic precept list… ? try 10 commandments .... then go on to Talmud and the MANY other commandments , laws, etc .

just as I was finishing that phone went off - text in . It was the above woman asking if I could mind the girl this arvo ... typing the text as I typed the above . First time I been asked that , like I said , we have had only 3 or 4 interactions . - the women are having a group thing happening .... thats how I offer to help the ' women's business ' ( and also offered the same with the indigenous woman's group ) ; "Hey, I can help with that ." " But you are a man . " " Yeah ... but I can mind the kids for ya while you do it , and make some food so dinner will be done for later . " ( I actually like doing that - 'Cancerian' )
