.... with adults doing constant deliveries of little snakes, lizards and bugs up there to choruses of twittering bleating noises . Soon, I suppose, it will be fledglings - I've had them before , noisy little buggers but amusing as they try to learn the 'laugh' .

I was about to click like .... then read the last line Yeah , swarming behaviour is something different than navigation, for sure . Here is some other cool stuff I seen birds do or heard about them doing ; ' Kookacopters ' - I am turning into 'my road' , a sharp 180 so I am going slow and something up in a tree catches my eye (so I go real slow ) and I see it is a kookaburra hanging off a branch upside down and he has another kookaburra hanging below him, by joined beaks . The lower one is all floppy and relaxed and has his wings and legs flopped down and the top one is shaking him and vibrating him.... nearly like a massage . And making noises .... which I cant describe ... Then the top one lets go of the branch and they fall but they both go stiff and hold their wings out, still with beaks joined and start rotating and spinning ( like one of those falling leafs spinning ) and 'gyro-copter' down on to the road. I stop the car and they clump bellies and bottom of beaks on to the road , sit up look a bit stunned , look around and then at me and ... " Shit ! a car ! ' and fly off . And I am sitting there in the stopped car . 'Magpies Mimics ' - a group of magpies are on the lawn in a circle, up to something . Getting closer it is seen that they are standing around a lone shuttlecock that someone has left there . One runs in, next to it and lies down on the ground , on his side , as if imitating the shuttlecock. Then he jumps up and goes back to his place in the circle , then another one does it , and so on ... ' Council of Crows ' - many crows appear making a racket , then others come in doing the same from another direction . They take up positions in trees opposite a paddock and one from each side takes to the air and they commence fighting , until one is downed . Then the victor flies off and both groups join together and follow the victor. At the moment I have kookaburra nestlings in a hollowed out termite nest in a big tree over the front door ....

Thats interesting, I have never seen that one before . Description : " The coin features designs from the Ancient Egyptians, who were one of the earliest people to measure accurately the solar year, the basis of our modern calendar, nearly 7,000 years ago. They did this by measuring the annual flooding of the Nile against the position of the Sun and the Morning Star, or Sirius – the Dog Star. The central image is of Cleopatra’s Needle, which originally stood in the Temple of the Sun in Heliopolis – the City of the Sun. It is symbolic of the precision with which the Egyptians built and aligned their monuments. Cleopatra's Needle, the pyramids, the Sphinx and the Temple of Ramses II are perfectly illusstrated at significant dates of the year, such as the birth of death or a pharaoh or queen, coronations and summer solstice. A coloured satellite image of the Earth, a gold insert of the Sun, with stylised rays, aligned with the Morning Star and shining on Cleopatra’s needle, completes the central design. The winged sun disc designs around the border symbolise the union of upper and lower Egypt. They incorporate the cobra and vulture goddesses with the sun disc of the God Re (or Ra). The figures around the outside are taken from the deities at the Temple of Hator, which are holding up the heavens or in this case the world. The coin is encapsulated and housed in a presentation case and accompanied by a descriptive booklet that includes a Certificate of Authenticity and is protected by a beauty box." I have no idea whys they chose to feature calendars and the history of them ( unless it somehow relates to 'Millennium' ? ) . Or why they focused on an Egyptian theme . Most descriptions say 'Morning Star' , which you would know is 'Venus' . Yet some say , " ... aligned with the Morning Star ( Sirius ) and shining on .... " . Oooops . The designer is shown as 'unknown' ( above ), but is listed in reviews , yet when you look him up, this coin is not listed in his work list . Curious .

Ahhhh .... theoi.com a very good site , been reading it for years . Particularly Ovid . And the wikipedia entry on Hyperborea ? yes, it says what I said above . Still, none of that explains your strange map .
-
Hyprerrra is Hyperborea ? Strange map ... it doesnt look at all like North Europe / Great Britain Then again, with no description, explanation or even a reason why its been posted here, it hard to comprehend anything about it . Hyperborea , like the name suggests is merely the ancient Greek term for unknown lands north of the' Ecumene' : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ecumene

Oh yeah ! I have seen some shockers in that regard ! Two things come to mind ; 1) Tarot readings and card interpretation - I have seen some 'readers' virtually implant their 'own stuff' into a susceptible 'client' . 2) Doing a months long, one night a week group workshop on reading your own natal chart . No one else can really have an insight into yourself, past , connections, internal realms like you can have .

Bumbling along in the substrate consciousness
Nungali replied to Apech's topic in General Discussion
Meh .... what is the point of it all ! I have done everything under the Sun ( that I wanted to do ) and I declare there is no more purpose and joy and satisfaction than doing a good days work * , and at the end of that day , sit back and look at that work you have achieved , relax and have some wine (or beer ) . Since all is transitory , of course 'the achievement' is not what 'matters' ..... it's the good feeling * and of course by 'work' I mean doing one's 'Great Work' ... what if .... we , 'life' , are a freaky unusual and unique occurance in the Universe ..... if Earth has the only things alive in the whole Universe ? Throughout all the Universe ...... no other life . Then, just a moment of fleeting life/consciousness of any individual is an unfathomable gift and experience .... even that might be enough 'purpose' for some ? . -
Hi . I was attracted by your tag / study . I found your definition interesting ; " how ancient people had beliefs in the stars " ..... how they had belief in the stars ? Not just 'their beliefs' and what they are ? But maybe its just an unusual choice of words . Archaeoastronomy usually collates star maps to ancient dates and looks for similarities in architecture , stone alignments, etc . I too have an interest in ancient astronomy , not so much with building alignments but the whole subject as it relates to cultural anthropology . In many ancient societies it underpins whole systems of ecology, survival and makes initiation stages throughout life . Due to my location, I am particularly interested in ; http://www.aboriginalastronomy.com.au/ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Australian_Aboriginal_astronomy https://www.researchgate.net/figure/Wardaman-rock-painting-of-the-Sky-Boss-and-the-Rainbow-Serpent-The-serpent-at-the-bottom_fig4_305119337

Gray skies are gonna clear up, Put on a happy face; Brush off the clouds and cheer up, Put on a happy face. Take off the gloomy mask of tragedy, It's not your style You'll look so good that you'll be glad Ya' decide to smile! Pick out a pleasant outlook, Stick out that noble chin; Wipe off that "full of doubt" look, Slap on a happy grin! And spread sunshine all over the place, Just put on a happy face! And if you're feeling cross and bitterish Don't sit and whine Think of banana split and licorice And you'll feel fine I knew a Bob so glooming he'd never laugh or sing He wouldn't listen to me Now he's a mean old thing ... So put on a happy face

I didnt like your expression this morning, so I shat in your headphones. ...... Mice ? I would not go near them, horrible diseased little buggers ! .... No , dont disturb me for several hours, I will be busy lying in the sun . "

Since you cannot be clear about it, I guess there was no point to your obscure comments .

Auras, seeing them, and their meaning
Nungali replied to Nuralshamal's topic in Esoteric and Occult Discussion
Indeed ! But this is a long way from your first post and your experiments there . How will you bridge from where you are now ( post 1 ) to this above ideal ? How / who with will you train, develop , link what you see to diagnosis , test 'spirits' , etc . Dont take that as a criticism , I think its something significant to think about though . -
Auras, seeing them, and their meaning

Awww , not even ....... sometimes ? Developing such vision is .... or used to be .... part of magical training . It had a reason . All such experiments and workings should. I was taught to write them up and keep a record, and the first subject of that record for each experiment or working should be ' AIM' ... then you go on to METHOD, EQUIPMENT ... etc . Just like I was taught to write up a high school science experiment . But that is very 'old fashioned' nowadays . ' AIM' is 'old school' -
What 'quote I posted ' ? Be clearer ..... if you have a point . I have no problem admitting to my own sarcasm - anyone should be able to see that .

How does GOD,the christian god, fit into the bigger picture? Is he referred to in any of the other cosmologys of the daoists, buddhists etc?

No . I mean there seems good evidence .... to me .... that the Zoroastrian homeland ' Airyana Vaeja' was located in Pamir area . In a few legend , wise men and knowledge come from the east .... in that direction . Shamballa has been planted all over the place , it varies . Some say its in Zang Zung, some say north of Tibet some say west . Miwoe bought wisdom from that area ( the west , 'Tagzig' - Tajikistan - Pamir area ) when Tibet and Zang Zung were still 'savage' . However I see these legends as layered , BOTH of those 'higher' teachings ( Zoroaster's reforms and Miwoe's mission into the east ) potentially having a source in Siberian Bo and that tradition being centred around Lake Biakal , an Ice Age Refugia - a 'Garden of Eden ' surrounded by ice . The old parts of the Vedas and Avestas are also potentially layered , ie, a compendium of oral knowledge from different times ( some times mixed up ) . Both have references to changing climate , very deep impassable snow and ice, polar locations , etc . So it might be the same place for both , in the Pamir Mts or nearby or a legendary memory going way back to lake Biakal. I have extensive posts around on both subjects, citing scriptural hints, descriptions, comparisons, imagery , etc . -
Arresting them ? Come on Man , tell us one of your hippie stories then . Did you have a 'hippy chick harem ' ?

To you . I in no way mentioned any of the things you suggested Actually, try reading the longer post with the pictures ... thats a War Veteran of THREE WARS .... yes, a Boar War Veteran too - I helped look after him , he was also big in the pace movement / anti war protests .
-
I dont recall suggesting those guys where slackers . In any case , I was too young for all that . My elder brother had to go in the ballot, but got spared . It was the 'first time war horror visuals on your lounge room' ( TV ) back then that made me instantly decide to drop out, as a school kid . I realised these guys ( my 'peers' in 'being civilised' ) did NOT have their shit together . Still don't. My own 'non-slacker' actions where later and more geared towards the environmental movement . Doing that I also met a few VETS who also joined in on that protest movement .
