Seems like someone is just curious or wants a better sex life ... just dealing with the physical plane . Nothing wrong with that IMO . and I dont see why this is the wrong forum for such a question .... considering some of the stuff that goes on / is allowed here . Lets just stay in a physical place for a moment ... forget all the daoism and would be 'tantric' advice . Sex can be even better when you learn to have orgasm without ejaculation , for a start its less messy ... thats actually what one GF said to me . It can make one very popular 'with the ladies' - especially if they have been bored with ( not a pun folks ) the 'standard male sexual approach ' ( again, feedback from past partner ) . A man can also become bored with himself if his focus is on ejaculation .... see below * I had no teacher , no 'instruction' etc. etc. many men have discovered this by themselves ... or I should say, with the help of an understanding partner . If you havent got a clue how to get started , try being aware of other bodily functions and experimenting with control , 'send awareness' to different parts of your body and practice conscious control of them , you might be surprised how many functions you can develop some control over , when you previously assumed you could not do that . And this isnt about 'retention' or anything like that , it might start as a physical / muscular sensation where some restriction or delay is experienced, but after time it will be more natural. Also it takes the focus away from ejaculation as the 'aim' ( sorry ... there I go again ) and puts the 'Onan' ... I mean 'onus' on orgasm . And to that end it is important , especially when one considers 'potent orgasm' then the whole process becomes , not 'tantric' but one of psychological healing and even therapy . https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orgastic_potency * Reich first noticed orgastic impotency amongst some of his patients - it went something like this : Reich : " So, you are 'happily married' and have a good sex life . Good. Tell me though , what is sex actually like for you when you are having it . " Patient : " Well , my wife and myself go into the bedroom , we get into the bed, we have sex ... and ummm ... we finish ." Reich : " Do you ever enter anther state of consciousness , expereince anything unusual, see anything unusual like lights or patterns , have any feelings about 'loss of self' and 'merging ' , experience involuntary body reactions , experience an ' altered or mystical state ' afterwards ? " Patient ; " I dont know what you are talking about .... I already explained the process .." Reich : " I think you may be experiencing 'orgastic impotency ' . Patient : " How dare you Sir ! I will have you know I have been happily married for over 15 years and have children ! " - and its STILL going on today . One time , at a little private ecckie party one of the women asked me to give her a back 'massage' ... okay , another , a good friend of mine , was watching with great interest as the other woman got into it , sighed ... melted ... etc Then she asked if I could do that to her ... sure . She reacted the same ... after wards she " You know I have never been touched like that before ... ever . " Me ; .... but ... your married and have 2 kids and have been married before that ... and had a boyfriend or two . " " I know ! .. " was her response . How sad .... all these people , never got, not only no good sex ... but never a nice sensual touching ! It might not harm men to 'cultivate ' a little more 'female acknowledgement' in their 'quest for adventure ' . .

More bee stuff " Insects that beat their wings more rapidly, such as the bumblebee, use asynchronous muscle; this is a type of muscle that contracts more than once per nerve impulse. This is achieved by the muscle being stimulated to contract again by a release in tension in the muscle, which can happen more rapidly than through simple nerve stimulation alone.[4] This allows the frequency of wing beats to exceed the rate at which the nervous system can send impulses." " The frequency range in insects with synchronous flight muscles typically is 5 to 200 hertz (Hz). In those with asynchronous flight muscles, wing beat frequency may exceed 1000 Hz. When the insect is hovering, the two strokes take the same amount of time. A slower downstroke, however, provides thrust.[ " ( The hertz (symbol: Hz) is the unit of frequency in the International System of Units (SI), equivalent to one event (or cycle) per second) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Insect_flight

Okay, I read the article : " Swarming honeybees can produce as much electricity as a thunderstorm, study shows | CNN ... For instance, flowers have an electric field and bees can sense these fields. And these electric fields of flowers can change when it has been visited by a bee, and other bees can use that information to see whether a flower has been visited . " - This bit seems based on their research ... "All insects create a charge during flight as a result of friction in the air, with the size of the charge varying between species. " - This bit us first affirmed , then later in the article they say its " predicted " . Also it only relates to insects , not birds . Of course , as insects have a MUCH higher 'flap rate' than birds do .

Here is a weird thing about electrical energy , I was watching an experiment : A metal base with a vertical electro magnetic cylinder attached (its electro magnetic so the magnetism can be turned on and off for the experiment ) . A large ring magnet is put over the cylinder and onto the base so it isnt touching the cylinder. Due to the way its constructed and set up, the cylinder wants to repel the ring , but because its a ring encasing it, it cant repel it . Then a non magnetic metallic ring is dropped down over the cylinder on to the magnet, its turned on and it the ring floats just above the magnetic ring . Wot ? Then its turned off and more rings are added on top of the first and they float higher . Then even more rings, and the experimenter warns the assistant that the force is exponential. They stand back turn it on and the rings are fired up off the cylinder and hit the roof . Then they modify the set up to a linear set up ( I am really simplifying the process here ) so the cylinder is like a track and the stack of rings is like a little train ( which they cover with shell that looks like a train ) , put it on the track and turn it on . The train flies along the track , off the end, through the air, across the studio and smashes into the opposite wall . They agree some modifications are needed . - apparently thats the concept behind a train with 'magnetic propulsion' . It was an excellent doco , presented by someone who was supposed to be THE expert in the field - he started off the demo with ; " Magnetism ! ... What is it , how does it work? We dont really know . "

I found your quoted bit interesting . In Agricultural Lectures (Biodynamic textbook) by Steiner he cites things like 'birds flying across fields leave streams of astral energy . ' Like many things , the writer of founder might know whats going on and express it in terms familiar to THEM, but their followers dont seem to have a clue , eg. I have asked others what this means and its basically confused rubbish , they cant even define 'astral' , even in their own terms without contradicting themselves . I didnt give it much credence as Steiney also said ' but bats doing the same leave streams of negative ahrimanic energy ' . So bats are bad .... ha. BUT ... perhaps its the specific motion of the creature ? bats do have a rather different form of propulsion . Anyway, I will look further into this , ignoring the confused 'astral / ahrimanic' tags and look more at this 'charge during flight' concept so thanks for that . Aside : my yard must be FULL of 'astral streams of energy ' - I been watching two kookaburras attack and gradually hollow out a huge termite nest way up in big tree next to my front door, for over a year . Half way through spring ... yep, I am sure now, they are delivering small lizards and bugs to it , so they got bubbas in there (or brother and sisters - kookaburras live in family groups and will often delegate childcare to earlier batches of siblings ) possibly up to four eggs ! OMG ! * All that constant to and fro from the nest with food .... must have really 'pumped up the astral' here * because I am imagining the racket just one makes e its learning to 'laugh' - although it is funny and amusing .... to an extent ... but it can go on for weeks till they get it right ..... a few of them sitting over the front door doing that for weeks - should be fun . They should have emerged in a few weeks ;

I hope to get into tai chi a bit more ; my training partner ( I now consider there is only one left - that is worthwhile ) is also a tai chi instructor . He seems to be the only one who really 'gets me' in our martial arts group. I have decided to kick the 'instructor' out . Thats it , we have both had enough of him and his antics* . Knowing a 'bit of stuff' is one thing ( and we learnt that stuff from him years back ) but being unaware and unevolved is another thing ... both of us have finally had enough. My mate wants to 'talk it over with ' with him but I have been trying that for years ... nope , I'm out . And that , hopefully, gives me and him a chance to really develop our stuff now ; he knows the same amount of kata ( empty hand and with multiple weapons ) as I do , although he isnt as 'on ball' with applications and innovations but is open to experimentation . I have been watching his 'fast form' ... oh yeah, I wanna play with that ! I can see how it could be very effective against certain attacks I could devise on him . Also I have never done any 'one handed ' sword work before . * ( Bitching warning )

How does GOD,the christian god, fit into the bigger picture? Is he referred to in any of the other cosmologys of the daoists, buddhists etc?

I have not encountered it in my studies . In some indigenous societies their myths might suggest that , but they are creation myths heavily tied into the 'first person' , ancestor hero , discoverer of new land , etc . In these cases the actual creator is more abstract , a cosmic force ( eg The Milky Way ), a mythical animal, etc . It might get a little confused when we delve into African tribal Islam , perhaps a similar process was underway there by missionaries ( similar to the above mentioned process with Chinese Christian missionaries) . Of course .... there is Jesus , supposedly God and Man , if he existed he might have had some ancestors -

Its not like Chinese religion had a name and a recognition of the Christian God , its more like, some ( Christians ) think the Chinese might have some historical monotheism and because there can only be one God, in the Christian view - ergo .... they must be the same God . That is, it is a Christian view about Chinese religion, not a Chinese view . -

The religious path uses many 'magical technologies' . Prayer can be a type of devotional meditation . -
I would be changing doctors .

If it bugs you, then stop reading the Tao Te Ching, Vedas, Bible, and Sutras . If it bugs you that others study them , stop reading their observations about it . One can spend a lifetime studying Comparative Religion and Divinity and never become 'quite the "expert" and historian' .... nor indeed. even have that as a goal . While others are content to lie back and suck on the big titty of 'religion that is already all worked out for you ', thats a simple path - just do what you are told and follow directions . Maybe it could be considered that 'the burning need of soul for spirit ' fuelled the intellectual approach in the first place - for some of us born under the rays of Mercury ? Of course, study and knowledge alone isnt enough ... it needs to be bought into practices. Alternately , no study or realisations , then you will not know what the practices are . . . unless you are 'religious' then you can simply mimic . Many dont like the intellectual approach , but it is one of the major 'yogas' ... and I will add, one that seems to have fallen out of fashion ! And in case some are ignorant of this 'set of modes' we all should be operating under - to some extent ; The Intellectual - Gnana Yoga ( yeah, its a thing ! ) - development and balancing of the mind and intellect. The Emotional - Bakti Yoga . - development and balancing of the emotional body Physical Internal- Hatha Yoga . - development and balancing of the physical body and its abilities . Physical External - Karma Yoga . - using all the above to do 'good works' , and live an enjoyable life. -

Decades of google and Jehovah's Witness magazines .... that explains a lot . -
Wow ! I had no idea they could do that , they look like bees . And people say Australia has a lot of things that can kill you ! Some of our wasps are huge and ferocious looking . So I had to look it up - not dangerous unless you are allergic .... OR get many stings . It does seem very strange though ... one of those weird twists life sometimes offers us . That must have been some experience ! The two of you alone 'up on the mountain' and hubby dying in your arms ... still, better (IMO) than some crappy hospital room in a city with all sorts of shit going on . But still tough . I remember years back when my young beautiful friend was dying, I was with her just beforehand and she said "I'm dying ." I said , " Yeah ... I know . " Then she said "Who will look after my little baby ? " - becasue she recently had a baby ... that was tough !-anyway , I got a smiley photo of her on the window sill Texas deep woods in the east ? I will have to check that out . .

Hey ! Wait a minute ! I just looked that up ; 'a depraved, unprincipled, or wicked person' ...... harumph ! - by the way , you still got that dorky husband ?

Yeah... its an interesting that . I and we ( a LOT of people ... all of a sudden , well, over the last few months ) been invaded by annoying destructive bush turkeys - they are ***** ! So I got a cheap bow and arrows like the second one : I use blunts, intention is to scare off turkeys, not to have them running around with arrows sticking out of them. No matter what I do or how careful I am I usually miss when practising ( I got no training or instruction whatsoever ) ... yet, when I deliberately be 'not ready' , turn/spin and quickly shoot without really aiming, I somehow manage to hit the target more .

Hey Rene , have you ever tried blindfolded archery ? - you dont know what you're missing !

I suppose that means ; there where various other concepts of Gods 'at the time ' and in that same area , which is why the religious/political leaders using the Jehovah concept to unite people in a political unity forbade them to acknowledge / worship / follow them ... and that is reflected in the Old Testament . El Elyon gave the Jews to Yahweh ? - where do you get this stuff from ? And that relates to our theme , in what way ? 'The theology of their God ' what ? God had a theology ? Did you mean 'Some Christians had trouble with theology' ( trying to explain away discrepancies in their religion by consulting and interpreting scripture ) ie, trying to understand the concept they had about God . .... and the rest is so confused ... I aint even gonna try to untangle that !
