  1. In other words ... 'some traditions' say , some parts of us do not 'continue on' and 'other parts 'do . So we need to 'down load' relevant life experience to those parts that do survive . If not, the info does not get back to 'HQ" so repeat cycles of the me might be needed , or cycled through until imprint is made . ... round and round on the ' Wheel of Karma ' . So, parts of self that are 'earth based' will pass away , some take longer than others . The physical first of course . Then the mind 'flickers' out ( but here that 'time is different ' thing kicks in ) ... one can have 'their life flash before their eyes' , also one can 'return to life'' from this stage . What some call the 'astral death ' is a later stage . Basically, think of 'astral ' as 'imagination ... what it can do and how its been imprinted . It might be heaven or hell or whatever is needed to 'play out ' . Then you get to the 'crossing stage . I like the Zoroastrian idea here , it also in a way equates to the next level in the western tradition . I am not sure at this part ,I would have to review ( I am going 'off the top of my head here ' so far ) they may have an equivalent part in the Zoroastrian tradition , not sure, but in the western, there is a sort of preliminary to this , basically we could call it a process or rite of destruction . Last bits of unnecessary 'identity' removed , the 'dross leaving the pure gold' as it where . You could look into some aspects of Tibetan Buddhism on that as well . In western neo_Egyptian traditions this purified aspect has been called 'The Immortal Osiris' (aspect of the psyche ) . We become an 'immortal shining consciousness light ' . And at this stage Normandy Ellis has written some wonderful and vibrant transliterations from the Egyptian Book of the Dead about this ; 'Awakening Osiris.'. , from that view and those metaphors ... its rather wonderful and inspiring . I have used it in a ritual and as a visualisation I read out at a funeral once . It was very moving and also inspiring . ... people told me it helped them a lot . In Zoroastrianism this stage is where you meet your "Daena " *... a radiant woman ( an image of your purified soul and a 'psychopomp' ) , who guides you across (in this case ) the Chinvat Bridge ' .... where .... Well, what happens next . In this regard I am a 'Thelemite ' in that I ascribe to ; Unto them from whose eyes the veil of life hath fallen may there be granted the accomplishment of their true Wills; whether they will absorption in the Infinite, or to be united with their chosen and preferred, or to be in contemplation, or to be at peace, or to achieve the labour and heroism of incarnation on this planet or another, or in any Star, or aught else, unto them may there be granted the accomplishment of their wills; yea, the accomplishment of their wills. ' *
  2. Ahhhh .... but Grasshopper , the onion is but the earthly life . Does not the onion live deep in the earth yet grows a tube up out the top of its head , up into the heavens, where it blooms and fruits in a new world , making seed that blows off into the winds , to come back to earth and renew itself again ? So, is your 'awareness' in the centre at the void, or directed towards the making of the seed .
  3. I was about to say similar , in that : I forgot to say above , I never consciously initiated the contacts .
  4. Except it includes a process to make demonic talisman , does it not ? But there might be UN BENEFIT when it s in the wrong hands and for the wrong purpose , especially when misunderstood , used for 'unusual' purposes, or by the inexperienced . Have you studied or practised ritual magic Daniel ?
  5. Ahhh ... I nealry put down my own poem about it ; " Another day in Hell " ... But I thought not to concentrate on hell ..... in a thread like this Mostly ... in that , but also ; " A good 'enactment' should produce an 'induced experience' ." " The Vajrayarna (Tantric ) Buddhism that emerged in Central Asia .... "
  6. The Second Bardo O Lord, deliver me from hell's great fear and gloom! Loose thou my spirit from the larvae of the tomb! I seek them in their dread abodes without affright: On them will I impose my will, the law of light. I bid the night conceive the glittering hemisphere. Arise, O sun, arise! O moon, shine white and clear! I seek them in their dread abodes without affright: On them will I impose my will, the law of light. Their faces and their shapes are terrible and strange. These devils by my might to angels I will change. These nameless horrors I address without affright: On them will I impose my will, the law of light. These are the phantoms pale of mine astonied view, Yet none but I their blasted beauty can renew; For to the abyss of hell I plunge without affright: On them will I impose my will, the law of light. In the western tradition this stage is enacted in the IV degree . Even then some people, who had been 'trained ' previously * still, freaked out, got confused, took it seriously, could not understand, etc . * in various ways ; eg we where instructed to view the issues from multiple angles ; our traditions , other philosophers , particularly yogis and tantrics and religions such as Tibetan Buddhism etc . So some pre-understanding should have been there . I have certainly seen some people at this stage of their initiation journey , misinterprete and become 'impeded' in relation to their further progress . Also it IS after the third degree which is a death rite , one would think the next series of initiation is about 'after death ' ??? The end of third is equivalent to first bardo . Regarding amount of days , I won't comment except to say 'time is different over there '. One thing stood out for me in the above quote was the reference to Central Asia . Is that confined to Afghanistan ?
  7. The Testament of Solomon

Now.. for the REAL answer to this dilemma (instead of yet another attempted diversion designed to get us not to look into it ) How (did ) the figure of Solomon, presented in the Bible as a wise and holy king favored by the Judeo-Christian God above all other men, came to be associated with black magic. According to the lore of magic, King Solomon was not only a master magician, he was the originator of some magics. Just as Zoroaster is viewed as the first magus and inventor of astrology, and Hermes Trismegistus the first alchemist, King Solomon is thought of as the originator of more than one form of magic, such as Ars notoria, the magical art of supernaturally achieving knowledge, and perhaps most importantly, Ars goetia, the ritual magic used to summon and bind demons and thus obtain favors from them. As we will see, though, much like those of Zoroaster and Hermes Trismegistus, the legend of King Solomon’s contributions to magic prove impossible to credit upon closer examination. This should be apparent even at the outset, as we see the legend evolve into folklore about King Solomon that rivals even the most fantastical of fairy tales. Anyone who attended Sunday school knows that the wisdom of King Solomon is legendary, and we already know that he is associated with magical artifacts, for he had possession of the Ark of the Covenant, for which he built a permanent Temple in Jerusalem. But according to the magical myth of Solomon, which developed out of numerous traditions in multiple cultures, God granted him supernatural wisdom like a superpower, including even the ability to talk with animals and to command spirits. From angels he received four magical stones, one that gave him power over the animal kingdom, one that empowered him to move heaven and earth, one that granted him dominion over all angels, and one that enabled him to bind even demons to his service. Like Thanos, he united these stones into a ring that made him the most powerful human of all time. He possessed also the philosopher’s stone, it was believed by others, and thus was able to create gold and riches. And with this great wealth and power, he built many wonders, forcing demons to complete the labor on his behalf. Not only did he build the Temple of Jerusalem in this manner, but also mythical constructions like the walled city of copper, a vast and secret city built to contain all his treasures and books of arcane wisdom. Even if the city were ever found, as it is said has happened before, no mortal can penetrate its walls without dying of laughter. How King Solomon himself might have visited this marvelous place is clear, though, for like a tale out of the Thousand and One Nights, he rode a flying carpet, carried aloft either by the demons at his command or by the winds that he could tame, depending on what source you read. In total, he was an ancient superhero, and his legend would provide the background for quite the adventure story. But where does this all come from? As mentioned, those who only know Solomon from the Bible know him only as the wise king, a writer of songs, lauded for his clever judgments, the builder of the First Temple, arrayed in riches and luxuries, and known for his sexual escapades. Unsurprisingly, there is no biblical basis for these fanciful legends, but perhaps more surprisingly, there is little scriptural support for any claims of Solomonic magic. To find the origin of this pseudohistory, we must revisit these scriptures, the earliest of sources recording the life of Solomon, and trace the evolution of his legend from there. read the rest at https://www.historicalblindness.com/blogandpodcast//the-key-to-the-secrets-of-king-solomon-an-encyclopedia-grimoria-volume including info that previously was attempted to be suppressed and diverted here on Daobums (except it didnt , its all still up for anyone to read ) , ie. ' This rewriting of Solomon’s life continued in the postexilic Second Temple period, when much “parabiblical literature” was produced that adapted the history and lessons of the Bible for Hellenistic sensibilities as the known world came under the influence of ancient Greece. Works such as The Wisdom of Ben Sira, Eupolemus’s work Concerning the Kings in Judea, and of course Flavius Josephus’s Jewish Antiquities etc .
  8. The Testament of Solomon

Which TOTALLY avoids and tries to mask the issue of the question : All of Solomon's questions revolve around the nature, tendencies & descriptions of demons. Which could be viewed as unusual behavior for a believer in God. An answer , related to the question, can be ; He was very clearly and obviously a believer in things NOT condoned by Judaism . He practiced ritual magic . Now, we can look at where this strange and alien influence might have come from . It certainly wasnt from the preceding instructions given in how to behave, believe and worship God .
  9. and if you want to do what you are attempting top do here then you would not be needing to go of this German translation but the Hebrew one . So how does a book written in German get wrongly translated into English , because of some obscure points of Hebrew grammar ? " The book exists in the form of twelve manuscripts and an early printed edition. The provenance of the text has not been definitively identified. The earliest manuscripts are two versions that date from about 1608, are written in German "
  10. and place THAT on your head ? me thinks this is more of a case of 'pants on fire' than hair on fire !
  11. So? Your correction is going to be when anyone might want to try and follow the ritual ; is to put a burning box iof incense on their head or a teflin on their head ? which is it ?
  12. So now you have put up a version you want to use but you are going to correct it as you see fit as you admit it is wrong in places . Again/ please explain why one would want to put a burning box of incense on their head , when it says a crown in the translation and more to the point This was and is all a Daniel diversion yet again to cover the fact you originally said it was a teflin . So this thread looks like a dud to me .
  13. Jiggledy pigglely I am going on what the text YOU prescribed said as the reference here .
  14. I included the other meanings , it appears you are not aware of the words variations . it can also mean, by extension , to rise up , the summit or top of . From the document you put here as the reference . It probably does have the rise up meaning when used in reference to offering and incense as in the quote you made BUT here it referring to something you put at the top ... the crown . Its there in black and white to see ! .
  15. There we have it ! A Holy ritual and devotion unto God , with an aim to see a naked maiden . Your response is ' my loss' . Okay then ,
  16. Then see post 2 where you have been corrected .
  17. ? Not even prayers to 'saints' ?
  18. Depending on their transition, 100 days might not be enough . Think of a baby coming into this world ... give them time . However an evolved and ready person for that transition might take a lot less time . In any case , when they are ready and if it is suitable , they might contact you. But dont worry, there are things in place there to look after them Also, it isnt all about us . One dear and close 'spiritual friend' taught me that . I was complaining a bit about their absence . They returned and communicated to me patiently " I do have other things to do you know, and I can be busy with them as well . " That was a lesson well learnt .
  19. Dib dib, dob dob.
  20. What a great resource ! Yes, 'certain things ' will become clear as we go along ; Let me know when you get to the part about the wand in the German translation ( the version you previously said we need to look at ) which you claimed was a merely a Yad ; a pointer to read the Torah Here is a 'heads up ' on that : p 118 " the consecrated wand ' ( you Denied these things needed to be consecrated . ) p80 describes this consecration . - on this note I am wondering if you have ever had any magical practical experience ? Consecrations are done with the 'Holy Oil '; ideas and recipes for this have always been a key part in ritual magick . How could one then deny consecrations of magical tools? They must have known nothing about these essential parts of the preliminary set up which includes , of course, making the consecrating oil first . Would you like the recipe ? p77 " Almond tree wood , smooth and straight , from the length of about half an el to six feet " * Yads are smaller, have a pointed hand or finger on the end and usually made of silver ... are they not ? p 102 ; "show them the consecrated wand " p134 " Holding the wand , conjure ... " are spirits conjured with a Torah pointer ? p144 put the sigil on the head of the (being ) and strike it with the wand and things will be restored . Do you do that with a Torah pointer ? See page 87 where it is compared to the staff of Aron, Moses, etc . Which was adopted from Egypt . That is, as I said before 'a magic wand or staff ' in the hermetic magic tradition which is based on Egyptian wands or staffs . Egyptian Snake Staff Another heads up ; This is a 'holy devotional' ritual to put you in communion with God after a time of purification and sanctity , the one giving out the ritual extracted an oath of living in the ways of the lord . ... now, look at the aim of the talisman squares ! the results, the powers one supposedly gets from the talismans one is able to make after doing the ritual ; " To be able to see a naked maiden ? To walk under water as long as you want , to find gold money treasures ! "the invocation of good and evil spirits to accomplish some very worldly goals, including acquisition of treasure and love, travel through the air and under water, and raising armies out of thin air. It also tells of raising the dead, transforming ones appearance, becoming invisible, and starting storms." and the rest .... Seriously ? It reads more like the Arabian myths that got into the Hebrew Bible with Solomon . But I will wait and see what your objective is here first .. If , as before, you are going to try and claim it is a Jewish ritual based on a Torah pointer and the crown is a teffilin ... ( which in Abramelin is described as a crown or mitre .. and a woven fillet of silver and gold on p. 76 * mitre ; if anything it was based on a Byzantine Bishop's crown . The teflin is nothing like it ... and so on , you are going to have to address this disparity between method and result in this ritual . * the only Hebrew association is via 'kaitar ' ( p. 119 ) קטר - crown or summit , to make to rise up in summit ' , a demon , - I think in this case we can simply go with 'crown' . Personally , I have no desire to do all that to see a naked maiden .... I live on a hippy commune - I just go down to the river . Also, I can affirm that any ritual done to get gold, riches and money are the hardest to get results from ! ( You are better off going directly for the things you would use that money for ( eg , a stash of wood to build a new extension , the actual car instead of money to buy one ) ... but why am I telling you this !? I am sure you dont do magic to get those things .... do you ? - so what IS your aim here Daniel ? Do you want to take up ritual magick now ?
  21. Regarding TT ; I would require him to do double roundhouse flying kicks ... at the same time ! There where more repercussions . People freaked out " why did that happen " ???? Mr . N (outraged ) " he want to fight me ! " " No no ... he wanted to 'spar' with you ! " The best way out seemed to be to agree it was a 'cultural translation error ' . That guy should have known to bow first and then ask the teacher if would spar with him in able for him to learn some things . Once many years back, in a tournament I saw a nervous green belt hesitating to attack a brown belt . Brown belt smirked and called him in with a hand movement .... WHISTLE stop ! Ref came up to him " Do you want a half point penalty for showing disrespect to minor graded karateka ?" ... and that was for not showing respect to LOWER grade ! Result was " Very sorry for misunderstanding , Charlie . " ... bow . (The next morning . guys came downstairs to find Mr N sleeping on the lounge . " Why are you sleeping on lounge ? " " Wife angry at me .... because Charlie's knee . " (you see , above the head teacher of a style is 'the secret master ' )
  22. Caduceus - staff of Hermes

I can , but is here the right place ? if you really want to get into it I can start a different thread on it .
