I missed this before - somehow . There is a huge one, In India I think, has a 'village' living in it ; corridors , rooms , part is a toilet , which feeds the tree . Its very ancient . There is one in Brisbane's botanical gardens that I went to see , not that big, of course, but still it did look like it was big enough to live in ! I peered from the little barrier and yes, I could see a way in and an interior . Looked about, no one around, hopped the fence and went in . The entrance went around a corner , it was low so I was crouching and creeping in the semi dark, then it got a bit bigger and ..... " OI ! What you doing here ! YOU get OUT HERE ... THIS OUR PLACE ! " A quick retreat - someone had 'beat me to it ' a group of Murri having a drink https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Murri_people

Indeed ! here is something fascinating . Oz was connected to Antarctica - Gondwanaland . back then it was rainforest ! near 'tropical temps ' with trees that grew there , HUGE forests . But it was still the south pole . and it still had months of no sun - darkness . Yet the trees where not deciduous ! Looking at starlight indeed ! A seed's a star A seed's a star's a seed A star's a seed A star's a seed's a star https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KEK7tMxXRpo

Thanks , this prog i now run cant do that , I could before , very handy . We have baobab growing here , which is why I asked . Endemic to Australia, boab occurs in the Kimberley region[2] of Western Australia, and east into the Northern Territory. It is the only baobab to occur in Australia, the others being native to Madagascar (six species) and mainland Africa and the Arabian Peninsula (one species). Its a bit tricky going by their 'common names ' ; baobab — this is the common name for the genus as a whole, but it is often used in Australia to refer to the Australian species; Australian baobab boabab was in common use from the late 1850s[6] (Perhaps the origin of boab) baob[7][8] bottle tree upside down tree dead rat tree gouty stem tree monkey bread tree[6] cream of tartar tree gourd-gourd tree sour gourd gadawon — one of the names used by the local Indigenous Australians. Other names include larrgadi or larrgadiy, which is widespread in the Nyulnyulan languages of the Western Kimberley. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adansonia_gregorii " For thousands of years the Aborigines used every part of this tree - the bark for twine, the porous trunk for moisture, and the fruit for food and medicine. The hard fruit pods are also useful as bowls and utensils. The thick, furry pod contains segments of fruit, a little like dried apple in texture. The fruit is very high in Vitamin C (many more times that of oranges) and has an almost citrussy flavour. It is also very rich in minerals. Aboriginal usage included grinding the fruit to make a flour for cooking, and using the fruit to treat stomach pain. The seeds are said to make a coffee-like brew when boiled, and the fruit has been turned into an interesting array of culinary delights such as boab chocolate, boab bread, boab muffins and cakes, and even dry-roasted chunks sprinkled on a salad. Now some enterprising locals in the Kimberley town of Kununurra are developing boab products as a mainstream food. Melissa Boot uses the food in chocolate which she markets commercially." And I saw , years back , a new way of eating them , so thousands get planted now as .... " the boab root is very easy to grow and has great potential to be accepted as a conventional vegetable, rather than be branded an exotic "bush food". So far they are selling about 30 bunches a week through local fruit shops and off the farm. The crisp juicy roots reportedly taste a little like a radish or water chestnut, while the tender leaves have a pleasant peppery flavour. Both may be eaten raw or cooked. " So the seeds are sprouted and when the root has developed with a bit of young green on top it is harvested after 6 - 10 weeks . http://anpsa.org.au/APOL2006/nov06-2.html

Do you know what type of tree it is ? I have a similar one in my yard but no where as big of course. As far as I know ( as its been wrongly identified before ) it is a ' Queensland bottle tree ' which I think is more of a description than a name . have only ever seen one other around here - in town in the church yard . Its semi- deciduous ; drops all its leaves at once and then reshoots straight away - which it is doing right now in a spray of reddish leaves which will soon turn green . - looking them up , they really have a great variety of size and shape ; this one is fairly close to mine ; But elsewhere ; https://australiantrees.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/DSCF0996.jpg ( damn computer just decided to NOT paste pics )

It has that 'extra leafy trunk /branch look of fire regrowth . That view looks familiar Lovely tree , although I am not familiar with them by name . The twisted branches and form remind me of some fav trees that grow in my 'indigenous area ' - 'Hawksbury Basin ' , sandstone regolith . - I always feel very 'at home' when I go back to that environemt . Huge trees seem to be able to grow out of the rocks and the little cracks between them. ( One day I am going to rent / get a house boat and just float endlessly up and down the Hawsbury River )

Great idea , now thats thinking ! You take care of that ... and just in case they get through ..... I will have my cart . Yeah I know its not impressive ... thats the whole point , anything bigger will just get bulldozed out the way . But this, they will think can just be pushed out the way manually ( ceptin I am going to stuff the whole thing with tiger wasp nests ) ( and further down the road a trip wire with net .... the net will not drop on them , but whats in it will , a huge stack of giant stinging tree leaves ... and if they get past that, the next barricade will be .... probably best no one else knows about that - you lot being non violent and all that . . -

My friend got her ears 'done' like that . She is tattooed and pierced and gets new' surprises' occasionally . The she shows up my place with one half her head shaved and I am sitting there looking at her exposed ear .... is it pointy at top, nah .... closer subtle look ... well yeah wot ??? But then she turned and on a particular angle ... yep , there is a big half Moon shape cut out of it . Fairly good job, the curled over edge of the ear at the tip was not cut off but tapered in to a point . YOIKS ! I didnt say anything about it though . Then later I said something and she ' What did you say, I couldnt hear that, are you mumbling ?" Me ; 'No, I think its ..... you ." Her ; " You arent making fun of my ears are you ? " Me ; 'Yes." ........... Whaddaya think guys ? Should I do it ? -

And Nungali said to the wizard; " So ... they decided the problem will be dealt with by 'inaction' . The wizard said : " Are not you a little old for that type of 'adventure' , and I doubt you are fit , with all that pipe smoking you do . " "Not really", said Nungali , " after I drop you off I am going to use this cart I ' borrowed ' as a barricade . -

Our band of travellers takes a break and sits down in a cool glen , two take the water bottles down to a creek to replenish them . But the creek is muddy and rancid . They return and tell the others so they decide to press on looking for clean water . But there isnt any, the next creek is the same . Off to the east they can see a wide expanse of forest ....... missing . The clay earth is bare except for tree stumps and lines of branches and tree trash bulldozed together . They look glumly at each other , but press on. Eventually they come across a small camp of a dozen people , one of them jumps up to greet the others , enthusiastically : "Oh good ! You have come to join us, we need all the help we can get . Tomorrow promises to be quiet the challenge ! They plan to illegally cut down one of our ancient old growth protected ancient forest . And they know we plan to try and stop them - also we have heard the local hotel tomorrow is putting on free beer for loggers and anyone that supports them . Then they plan to all come up here in the hotels tour bus and get rid of us . Now that we have more numbers , we feel a bit safer . " 'Well, we actually DIDNT know about that, " said one of our group , " we just happened upon this place ." " Oh, I see .... but can you help us anyway ? .... I should warm you first though .... this could end violently " " I suppose we could put it to the vote of the group . " " AND ,.... " Nungali piped up , " Get some consensus on what TYPE of action we could offer ... HOW we should deal with this ..... I dont want to go into this with a bunch of unplanned unprepared people running around in chaos and confusion . " So they group sat down and 'passed the stick ' each in turn spoke as to what they thought should be done ........... ? -

( A true snippet from real life , when I was on support crew - and also walked a few sections myself swapping roles - when I was on 'The Great Escarpment Walk ' ( NSW / Qld Border > Armidale ) the above description reminded me of that adventure ) " The next section is tough , 2 days without contact , take essentials we will transport the rest , and we will drive to rendezvous point , camp ground ; Point Lookout. " We get there, start setting up camp , making it nice for when they emerge from the bush , tired, scruffy and dirty . A nice hearty meal . All done . let's go for a little walk .... and in the middle of nowhere , whats this ? A friggin old style iron bath ! ! ! With great effort it was lugged back to the camp site and set up . The next evening , exhausted people coming into the clearing a met with a good main camp set up, a nice fire, a big pot of hot nourishing stew and .... " What the hell ? How on earth did you do that ! " -

Apparently so ... going by the STUPID and constant adverts they show on TV . I am related ( in some round about way ) to Ned Kelly . REALLY ???? WOW ! You must be sooooo cool ... and sooo proud . ( 'Proud' due to an accident of birth ) " Everyone wants a bush ranger in the family ! " No we friggin dont ! Only if you are sad case and dont have a life and want to impress people at parties at your house ; gradually leading them , drink in hand , over to your 'oh so artistic ' modern sculptural rendition of Ned Kelly's mask while gesturing with your other hand ; " Yes , I got this specially made so I could show it off at parties and as a lead in to what I am about to tell you ; that I am actually a descendant of a bush ranger ... that wasn't actually Ned Kelly , but associated with him in a roundabout way . I bet she is also a reincarnation of Cleopatra

'Evolving' , passing 'up' through the 'planetary spheres ' - shit ! All these words need to be 'enclosed' ( meaning they have extra meanings than the literal ) Not only passing up through them but letting their paths interact to balance each other ......... OH ! ... I am taking something for granted here , sorry , (not everyone is a Thelemite ! ; ) Getting you somewhere ? What does that mean GOOD QUESTION ! towards or along the path of expressing your True Will, your fundamental, individual ,incarnatory purpose and the offering up of your personal genius , ( your 'Star' ) , your Khvahranah . -

.... I also wanted to add to the others above ..... it doesnt matter if it is 'real' or not ..... does it get you somewhere ! ? * And in response to Bindi's valid question ; is that somewhere , above where you have been before - i other words is it part of an repeating circular track , or a spiral, that each time one does a revolution, more is learned and we gradually rise up . My personal answer is , over time, I can tell . Some things got me nowhere , others , well, I can tell myself that I am not like I was before in certain ways . One indication is when 'the pieces ' all start coming together in a wondrous revealing' image' that gives transformational growth . * " ... of Spirits and Conjurations; of Gods, Spheres, Planes, and many other things which may or may not exist.
