The thing is , it is a 'male mystery ' and the initiate is playing the part of the man ( Hiram ) . In Old Boy dont like women doing that . In (originally ) an offshoot from FM , the OTO went through changes to become something different and was updated by Aleister Crowley , a one time Grand Master of the order . Its still a 'male mystery' but women are free to join , lead groups and become initiators . But in the rite of initiation they are still playing the part of a man ( not Hiram, another ) . Thats they way the rite is , and if they want to experience that , that is okay ( there is no restriction against gay people either ) . In many aspects FM is way behind the times , thats why its dying out , and similar more progressive groups with more modern views had been filling the void. Of course there are some wonderful stories and myths that can be and have been made into woman's mysteries and rites of passage . We wrote and performed one ourselves when our group was active ; Rite of Persephone . It might be good for Men to go through some of those rites and be 'ritually exposed' to some of the issues women have been dealing with for centuries .

Well, an 'indication' perhaps ; It started as heat rash , working away from home in very hot and humid environment . I had to take time off work , told boss I got heat rash he said, "Go away ! It might be infectious ...go to doc and dont just go to the beach instead ! " . I had to go to 3 different ones ; the first was a normal MD but he was weird , seemed to think I got a rash from jail junkies or something " I have seen a lot of this in jail , have you been taking heroin ? " WTF ? outa there ! Tried another one - the sign out the front said something like Dr Zkykylnskylovky . He was short squat arrogant and ugly . really obnoxious . He scribbled out a script and grunted "Put this on it . " So I held the script against the rash and go " It isnt working . " ... and the idiot goes " No ... take to chemist and give that to him , he will give you ointment and you put THAT on rash . " Me : " Oooooooh ! okay then . " Finally I went to TCM doc , after much ado ( man, so funny, I will post it later , short for time now ) he finally does all this stuff , gives me pills for it , Me; " But what is it ? " TCM Doc ; " Heat rash ." Which is what I said I had in the first place -

Although ..... They might have been questions and it was an issue of language - English Question : " Do you often wake up in the middle of the night between 3 and 4 am ? Chinese speaking English same question : " You wake up , middle of night , 3 - 4 am ? " sounds like a statement . - In my case , he got all the 'questions ' right . So I suppose , one that asks questions about your symptoms and your answers are yes. -

I had a great Hippy Doctor for years , fully qualified GP and in TCM . I found it good and him great . Dr. " Let's get some moxa going , first off . " Me; " I am having moxa ? " Dr; "No, it's to cover up the smell of this joint we are about to smoke . " Should be standard practice , in my understanding of it . -

I dont like the idea of a geyser in a toilet bowl ! Reverse geyser ; think of a black hole; a black hole of knowledge , understanding and wisdom . Also its about how attractive I still am and NOT turning into an old geyser at all , no way ...... not one bit

'When' you choose is tricky . I go on feeling, others recommendation, etc . During first consultation I find easier ( and one can then decide to continue or change to another ) . For me, how I could tell was ; I say nothing , and if they are good THEY can tell me what my symptoms are . As opposed to a western doctor , who when I told him my symptoms raised his eyebrows and said "I dont think so . " -
Yes, I have found this on my journey through initiation ( both receiving and giving ) ; an initiation should reflect a major life experience and be education about that experience . Either ; a preparation for experience to come or a context to put experience one has already had into perspective and understanding . So people are all different in their journey , the life journey may not play out consecutively as the degree progression does . As one goes along through the degree progression some stages might be harder or easier , some might have already been 'cemented' on the earth plane and others yet to be experienced . Eg . the nature of the Rosicrucian Degrees might be more easily accomplished by one that has had the life experience of marriage, children and 'giving up primary self focus' to that of the family unit. And because initiation is a reflection of lif'e's stages ... one who navigates through those will be 'Cosmic Masons ' / Cosmic Initiates .... 'raised' themselves by their own bootstraps , as it where . It might harder path , navigating it oneself, suffering perhaps more bumps, smashes and long periods of recover , sometimes taking the long route , etc . But also, there are other systems out there , with similar principles ( that you found , in the seeking of help for your recovery ) that can deal with specific issues and focus on them . Addiction is a tricky one . I have seen many a person get a 'shake up ' when doing their first degree OTO and encountering the oath against being unduly influenced by ANY drug .... which are tiresomely all listed and gone through ( " Damn ! I thought this was going to be some type of debauched Aleister Crowley drug party ! " ) No one system trumps another - generally . But certain systems suit certain types of people better than others .

Perhaps the pattern is in his diet ? And the spontaneous gut instinct * cannot be detected via the surface manifestations relationships to each other via posting and using the visual perception facility ..... but can be detected, and hence the problem solved via the auditory and scentual facilities ie.

One can that expe Well , go for it if you want , do bad all you like , for fun profit or self gratification . But one can gather that experience by observing others 'bad' and its consequences , I dont see why one would have to deliberately and knowingly do bad oneself to 'gather' experience of 'seeing what happens' when one does bad . Anyway , have fun with your experiment .
