I think a lot of this is based on the human hand and ( the observed similar ) forces in nature ; the basis of 10 represents the digits ( and that word can mean the fingers and thumbs AND the numbers 0 - 9 ) . In my experience base 7 systems relate to the 7 visible 'wandering; starts . In such systems one can usually find the 7 levels relate to some of the energies of the 7 planets . Why 22 paths ? I think its a huge 'hotch-potch' of dynamics with many root causes in different areas . I suppose we could divide them basically into two classes ; those associated with self ; everything from your DNA / ancestral genetics to your 'upbringing and conditioning. Those associated with your environment ; maybe you live in a wonderful , peaceful, near paradise , a war zone , a pandemic, natural disasters or not . 'Significance' is the meaning WE give them, and is mostly self-referential . Good ! I have seen people that have such a 'rosy view' on their perceived hardships that they may well be inviting them in unconsciously . A better attitude might be that 'shit happens' and when it does to try and make the best out of bad circumstances . I think the answers are personal, not universal . For me karma isnt about reaping what we sow ( in a non material sense , in a material sense though its exactly right and that is what 'kama' was about ' DIRECT ' consequence of action - I dont mean 'straight away' as in 'direct' ) if you plant a lettuce seed, you will get lettuce, if you put pollutants in water, you will get polluted water .... to extend that 'karma' a bit , the first may result in healthy food , the second , in disease . I dont think karma is indirect in the way that some think ... PARTICULARLY the belief that those that are suffering , through no fault of their own (like the above 'outward circumstances '; being born in a particular country , war zone, historical period ) have somehow 'bought it upon themselves' due to their past bad actions . I dont like that view as it is often an excuse to get around the human unfairness in life . One view I like is based on the western hermetic view ; as we incarnate we 'come down' ( to Earth) via a progressive level of steps represented by the classical energy of the planets . Then, in life, we progress upwards through them ; each level has a set of energies ' good and bad ' ( to put it really simply ) and its up to us to navigate through them. Through time these energies are regulated through the movement of the cosmos . In the self, they are 'set' at the moment f birth in the 'natal horoscope' . As we navigate through the trials and joys of life, I feel it is immensely helpful to have a map ., there are many different types ; maps of the process ( like I just described ) or maps of the self and our 'psychic anatomy ' - there certainly is no shortage of them, we need to find those that best suit ourselves and situation. Whether or not this is part of the Cosmic Plan or an Invention of Man ..... I will leave that up for the individual to decide ... after, they have had some experience in it .... thing is, if you approach it the right way, it doesnt really matter 'whoever came with it first , the chicken or the egg is immaterial, what is important id our journey and its results

Years back a flatmate had his wacky GF staying with us .... hopeless and totally disorganised , would run around daily in a flap and not achieve much at all . He suggested she write out a list of things she needed to do in the day and work through them one at a time . She said she would start doing that tomorrow . The next day I saw her list she had been working on at the table ; 1. Get up and have breakfast . 2 . Make a list . (Thats as far as she got ) .

Oh yeah ! To one of my best friends and confidantes ( worked with, lived with etc etc ) ; " One day I will tell you what actually went on behind the scenes during our Supreme Court case and how we managed it .... but when we are out in the surf ! " ( far from the beach and snoopers , interfering noise from the surf , face the ocean so no lip reading from shore , no where to conceal listening devices, etc Thinking I am paranoid or overcautious ? ... well, I cant say can I , I cant justify that without 'letting the cat out the bag' . I enjoy conversations within the walled garden , the most recent thread in esoteric section is a good example . The author could not have written that without a vast background and reading in the subjects presented , and one with a similar background will be able to communicate relevantly and quickly a vast opus , in a few sentences .... nearly like a symbolic image can convey a vast amount of info for those that can 'read ' it and understand .

Back to the topic, I would offer , specifically to some people in my country, to GET REAL ! I feel its time for a bit of hard arseness . I saw a woman on the news , who they made a big deal about , crying and being distressed, because of a lock down, that her and hubby would miss and their kids would miss their first ...... ski holiday . I have watched similar complaints and bawling because a holiday was cancelled, a boat trip could not be taken and a whole list of other minor inconveniences that rich people are wailing about . I was sitting at an outdoor cafe in town with a small group on the weekend, and all of a sudden one of them ( who is healthy, family healthy, no covid in sight in the area, can travel around the state - except areas of Sydney - as they want, has only minor inconvenience, still has a job and income , erupt angrily at our table and burst out " I am sick of this, when is it going to end , friggin this , friggen that etc . blah blah ! " Aussies, get a grip ! My advise for you to be able to cope is .... fer Gawds sake , dont you realise how bad it actually is out there for others in other places ? And how good you got it here ? Its just a little lockdown . ... and speaking of that ..... it seems Indonesia is having a disaster , apparently they went into lockdown too late. At the moment Australia ( and others ) are pumping tons of equipment there ; respirators, masks, vaccine , etc Thats another way to cope .... by helping others that have it worse than you do .

Well, thanks for that 'ramble' , it explains your sensitivity here on the forum as it is also a problem in your 'real life' . I am not vaccinated, dont plan to be soon, but may change my mind in the future ( I think I got that from your posts too ? ) . However, I am in an opposite situations where few around me are vaccinated and , at the moment , in my area no one is infected . So if I do decide to get vaccinated, I would be the odd one out here .
