Business shoes are an indicator of happiness . Here is how it works . Get out all your business shoes and lay each single shoe, heel to toe, in a line and stand at one end of that line . The other end of that line is how far you are away from happiness . -

PS. malachite is toxic especially when ground up . The eye lids are very sensitive . All one has to do is gently wipe the eye lid with a finger after chopping chilli - even after a good had wash . I cant imagine what the long term usage effects would be though -

I got two different sets from Svetlana from 'Wands of Horus' for free, in exchange for a paper I wrote on indigenous geo-magnetic field sensing and orienteering and its expression in artwork . .... and a Scoobie Doo cap I sent her daughter (from a Scoobie Doo movie I worked on - apparently she loved it and used to wear it all the time, even in bed ) No, because I plugged my toothbrush into the wands and ...... nothing . The Egyptians DIDNT know the ank was sandal strap ? Okay then . Thats what I want to know - the ORIGINAL usages of the actual object . She stands for integrity, good service and good coffee ? Wait ... I get it now . She cant 'stand' for anything at all . Sh'e got no feet . Awwww ... you just answered a question with a question . -

Here is how a lock works in some tribal societies - Anthropologist ; " Why do some of the huts in the village have a piece of wood leaning up against the outside of the door ?" Villager ; " That means no one is home. Its to stop people going in when no one is home ." Anthropologist ; " But one cold just lift the beam away and go in . " Villager ; (confused ) " But no one would do that, why would you go into someone's hut if they where not there ? ' -

One thing I have had to constantly point out about science and research (to both it proponents and critics ). In nearly all cases they reveal to us what has been discovered SO FAR . And new discoveries can often change a whole outlook . Even as recent as the 1970s ( discovered previously unknown 'lost civilisation' on par with Egypt, IVC and Mesopotamia) . Or old , ignored or disappeared , information being bought to light ( eg, re writing the whole history of pre colonial Australia ) . -

He is like a dog that creeps forward to take the food he knows he is not allowed to . He knows he will get into trouble for it , but relentlessly , when he thinks no one is watching or , even more silly, that the watcher has somehow forgotten the " No ! " he himself gave , the dog still tries . The only thing for it is to hit Mr E. on the nose with a rolled up newspaper . Sean ! Could you please hit Everything on the nose with a rolled up newspaper ? Thanks . I will even supply the the roll of paper ... -

Because ...... men . Pathetic creatures we are . Have you read my 'Raven's Tale ' its up somewhere here on Daobums. The part I am thinking of is when the raven gets the blame for the man ( "God - Bromius , or Apollo " ) killing his lover out of jealousy . ' He blames the arrow, the bow, even his own arm ... everything but his own jealous self . He blames the raven who mealy delivered the news, as instructed. His rage and fiery fury scorches the white raven black , and black he will forever stay .' Or the 'classic' line in the Chopper Reid movie - he looses his temper and beats up his girl friends mother , then feels 'remorse' and turns to the girl friend and says " Now look what you made me do ! " Big , violent , out of control bullyboys that never grew up and never learnt to take responsibility for themselves, actions and feelings . They are a problem for men as well . I been battling that energy all my life ..... it rarely, extremely rarely, comes from women . . . and like women, I have had to resort to intelligence, subtlety, craftiness, persuasion, 'energy' to 'preserve my domain' . -

Indeed . And I have shown the reverse ; go up to a huge Yumbar and she comes up to me , 'sniffs ' (with tongue ) my hand , slithers up my arm and I 'nurse' her . Aboriginal friends are agog " How do you do that ! " 'Well, I dont eat snakes , me, and my shit do not give off the ordour of digested snake meat . " (There is more to it of course, eg. I won't have much to do with the black snake - 'atotemic' to me . ) -

Or reversed ; dog was one of the relationships retained by Man and Man lost the ability to relate to 'wild animals' . ( Thats why its important to have 'roof possums' and 'reincarnating magpies' ) I remember 'Tooly' getting upset and agro at some people saying to him " You are not even a real Aboriginal . " He went off, and rightly so. Made them sit down and wait on the spot, went off into the bush, came back later with turtle and snake and threw them at their feet " There ! There is your dinner ! " One of the others ; "Where did you get the turtle ?" " Out of the turtle hole in the river . " " But there are not any turtles left in the river . " " Of course there is, you just dont know how to catch them." " How did YOU catch them then ." " Sing turtle song, they come up to surface and then stick their neck up so you can grab them . ...... Idiots ! And you say I am not proper Aboriginal ! " And these critics where Aboriginals themselves , but they where bought up in 'mission' and never learnt the ways of the land properly - they had lost their relationships with the animals . -

Daobums are not common men . A lot of my own posts are on anthropology, I specialise in cultural anthropology. Also ancient History, I specialise in Central Asia / BMAC . Other members here have similar skill sets and education. Recently Apech was asked to offer his skill in reading pyramid texts to sort something out for us . Ms T . like a few members here is more of a 'Renaissance Person ' ie. 'multidisciplined ' https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/multidiscipline (just so people dont think I am talking about that 'club that shall not be named ' ) Oh yes please ! but new thread . Thats the thing with doing non-graduate courses , you only attend the things you want, no pressure , no learning what you dont want . If something arises one can fill in the gaps later by expanding your own curriculum . It also allows one to get out more 'in the field' . But one of the things under the microscope here IS 'sociology ' ; " Sociology is a study of society, patterns of social relationships, social interaction and culture of everyday life. It is a social science that uses various methods of empirical investigation and critical analysis to develop a body of knowledge about social order, acceptance, and change or social evolution " - Wiki . ' social order, acceptance, and change or social evolution' might even be the crux of this thread ? -
