One was really weird; I am walking through a shopping complex and I see these people ahead of me, they are talking and two of them seem to be 'looking after' an obviously disabled guy, but not paying attention to him as they distracted by the others conversation. I immediately notice something strange about this guy, his skin is an unusual colour, a brown copper colour, slanted near Asian type eyes, but green coloured , bronze/ light brown straight hair , he has unusual features, pointed chin, nose, high cheek bones and pointed tops of ears and obvious physical and mental disabilities . One glance at him and I am thinking ' My God, he looks like a goblin or a changeling or something ! ' https://www.britannica.com/art/changeling-folklore As soon as I thought that, he looks up and glares at me hatefully ... urk ! So I steer a wide path around them, but as I pass he breaks loose and lunges at me .... yelling in strange unformed words and spastic movements flailing at me . As I said, I did the most gentle aikido ever and 'folded' his arms on his chest, turned him around patted him on the back and delivered him to his now shocked and rushing forward carers, who nabbed him but he is struggling against them and still trying to get at me . They where freaked out " Oh, we are so sorry, he had never done anything like that before ! " I seem to have the opposite dynamic with normal human babies though .

I got over that one looooong ago . The last time I felt pride was when I spent a little time to make a nice fire ( good wood stacked right so it burns bright and doesnt smoke ) for a very elderly Aboriginal man that I had invited into my home on a cold night . He said ; "You made a good fire. " And I felt proud . " ... be sure that thy soul is firm and steadfast; for it is by flattering thy weaknesses that the Weak Ones will gain power over thee. " .. and we know what pride 'goeth before' . Being God, is one thing . being 'God of myself' is entirely another and relates more to 'being Lord ' - over a domain or King, hence wearing the crown. I should have been clearer I suppose. One can use the term God, but that is difficult as it is loaded with the concepts of a strange God, Some religious views of God are pretty strange IMO ; vengeful , 'fear the Lord', etc and that is NOT the type of relationship to have with your angels spirits and demons . And if there is no difference between oneself and the whole ... then oneself must be God . - you cant have it only one way Maybe we have VERY different ideas about God . I think 'God made Man' but also 'Man made God' . The concept of 'God' is a man made invention and Man has developed according to his belief in his invention and the concept of God, in turn, has been developed and refined by man . 'religion' can be a VERY DANGEROUS thing for a magician or would be magician to play with ! Even operations of devotion - the 'Bhakti' path of Magick - are known to be the MOST dangerous of operations . If there was no subtle difference (within this 'sameness' ) everything you just wrote makes no sense ; there is no 'your own destiny' and 'destiny itself'. By using those terms and acknowleding the division, you admit there is some type of division ... and that is the division of the real material world that we live in ... we do not 'live in' the ideal world of concepts and philosophy , these are the 'ideal energies' ( above the 'abyss' ) behind the manifest energies . As above so below ... we need the two things, a dualism so they can be united ... otherwise we just get 'axioms like ' ' As so ' . And as far as being a 'master of relationships ..... well. there is really only one way to put this ; I am not the one having the bad relationship. A few people seem to be having difficulty, hard trials, torments, bits inside you that you dont have control over etc . etc . I am having great relationships and I am very happy with the experience, and they are too; I look after them and they look after me . It might really help to actually READ some of the links I make, instead of glossing over them ... but , whatever . A magician is supposed to be Lord (or king ) of their domain . Forget trying to be God, or follow God, or appease God ... its too loaded with conditionings .

I guess I should not post here without revealing something as well . I get into 'bothers' with the intellectually disabled . ( I have written about that before here ) There was that time at the beach in Melbourne. And that time the disabled guy attacked me ... and I had to use extremely gentle aikido . The guy at the picnic ground that got agro as he thought I had come to take him to an institution. Another one that thought I magically disabled his car . Oh shit, the more I think about it the more I am remembering them . Why ...... why me ...... wh h h h iy

Do you mean 'is it required for enlightenment ' ? I would say not, but that depends on one's definition of 'enlightenment ' . In the western tradition, 'illumination' seems the better term . (and it isnt requred for that either .... but it does make a good map for understanding and working with one's psyche .

Personally I have never had that problem . Because the Magician's voice IS the 'voice of the Lord '. (in a 'way' ) . And you cant be a Lord (or a King ) unless you can wear the Crown and wield the Sword properly. And you cant do that until you have mastered the other 'weapons' . And the crown (kether) comes after traversing all the other paths ( a weapon for each path ) Also -IME - most people that have trouble in this area do not realise or use 'The Contract' correctly . Awareness of that (and its terms) seems essential for happy, good and healthy relationships .

Thats an interesting combo of beliefs. You will other like minds here . My take on it is that both Tarot and Astrology can supply excellent maps of the psyche for 'navigation' .

Okay that DOES lead to something weird about me ; At a young age I used to get taken to the doctor for 'asthma and bronchitis ' ( idiots ! I used to sit in a lounge room everynight that was filled with my fathers cigarette smoke and when I went to the doctors, his 'surgery' had windows and doors shut and a smouldering cigarette in an ash tray on his desk ! - after I moved out of the family home and changed doctors , no more asthma ) But I remember early on, during an examination the doctor asked me, and pointed out to my parents " Why are you breathing like that? You seem to be using your stomach instead of your lungs." I was told I wasnt using the capacity of my lungs properly and thats why I had respirator problems . S o I had to learn to breath using my chest more . Which didnt really work . After that I started experimenting with 3 fold breathing ( expand stomach, expand chest then lift shoulders up ) .... but most of the time, when I dont think about it ..... < hang on > ... yep, abdomen goes out, I breathe in . Turns out its not weird at all but entirely natural for all mammals in a relaxed state . - stupid doctor ! I was born in a 'relaxed' state ( well, thats one word for it) . Apparently as a very young child I was taken I was taken in for tests as it was feared I wasnt developing properly in certain areas. After the tests they told my parents ' No, nothing is wrong with him, he can do all these things he is supposed to be able to do by now , its just that he doesnt seem to do them unless HE wants to . Well said ! In a simple hierarchy of the self , using the elemental model we can utilise fire, water, air, earth as 4 'bodies' . Fire is the spirit and individuation. Wand Water is the emotions, intuitions, dreams, unconscious. Cup Air is 'mind' , the consciousness, the rational faculties, reason and logic, the intellect , etc. Dagger Earth is the physical body and its systems , the output, the material plane . Disk We get inspiration from spirit , we see how that ' feels' , we might even 'sleep on it' , then we evaluate if it makes sense and how it can be achieved , then we put it into practice, or make it . Without a vision or inspiration things dont move forward, if we dont feel for it or 'have our heart in it' it usually burns out, if we dont run it through the balanced intellect we could end up doing crazy or harmful shit and if we dont put it into practice all the above was just a pipe dream. Mind is really third in the hierarchy , but many people do not understand their spirit, misunderstand or cannot regulate or balance their emotions so mind rises to fill the void , which usually isnt trained , its running amok . I saw a great dance called 'We are hunters' It was at the local markets, so a lot of people where sitting around on the ground watching . Some Aboriginals from a near by town where doing it . The leader of the dance , a big furry friendly Kola man - Wirrunga - started by saying "We are all hunters .... we hunt what we seek . " Then the music started and he danced around, occasionally stopping to check people out , even feel them, smell them , like a man's white long beard, a woman's unusual hat, etc . Every so often, suddenly he would turn and yell and jab his spear in the ground in front of someone . . people would get a shock and a startle .... then laugh at their reaction. Good dance that one . -

Our group did a course, hosted by a member who was an astrologer, on reading and interpreting your own astrological chart. To me that has been an invaluable process. I have had others read it before but it never gave the insights that reading my own did . Of course, one needs some background perspective and a bit of 'intelligence' and objective viewpoint regarding the subjective (and elusive concept of ) self ... but it seems you could do that . (Meaning, you dont seem lost in a hopeless muddle of forces and contradictions and projections ) Then after that when I transposed it on to my 'Astro Psychological Tree' .... bingo ! And it wasn't just 'understanding' , I also gained acceptance of myself in certain areas and when I did that, some things really started to change and 'come through' on the physical for me ! ( I rarely use this term because ..... ) but it was awesome ! (see my second post above to Desmonddf )
