Its not fair ! I get the distinct feeling I missed out on some dessert everyone else had . Did I miss some pie somewhere ? Its reading like it . I should stick to tofu , no pie for me Yes, tofu ! I used to make tofu .... damn good tofu too (not just my opinion, I had tourists from Japan tell me so . And it wasn't just politeness , they explained why it was good and they kept coming back for more ) Moi Tofu . Great job too .... reverse Christian work ethic ... I would do it on Sundays, work one day a week and have the other 6 off and got by nicely on that. The guy that was making it before me taught me about it , he said he couldnt really teach me , you had to 'be in the zone'. He did teach me a lot ( mind you this is in person, personal instruction , over months , I started as his assistant). he taught me certain basic principles . Others that tried , where taught , knew and applied those principles made shit tofu . In making it a traditional way there are all these factors that change, and when one changes, you have to make adjustments with the other factors . Some factors are ; the quality and content of the soy beans , that can go on look, touch, smell feel , the air temperature and how rapidly or not it is rising or falling and moisture level , the water temperature , the quality of the water ( being river water it constantly changed ) , the type of nigari ( curdling agent ) you are using, and its daily quality ( has it absorbed moisture since last week, how does it fee and look ) l . I could go on ... The point is, it is impossible to consciously take all this in and work it out . It takes 'intuition' ; " Hmmmm, I might add a pinch more Nigari to that . or, I might cut the curd 5 mins earlier or ...... " Intuition is best found after long experience in a field with the embedded information worked into the unconscious and everything worked out in the unconscious ( which is like a planetary computer compared to our normal consciousness ) and then the results are delivered (if you ;'n the zone') as a hunch or inspiration into consciousness and action. You not in the zone and it turns out like bland scrambled egg vomit . (and I am not talking about making one block of it in your kitchen, I am talking about supplying all the health food shops up and down the coast and some local people who been eating it for years and very fussy and critical, large amounts in a commercial enterprise where high quality consistency is important . ) So, if an art like that even be taught 'in person' ..... well . We had a Japanese man and women visit, they where great ( and liked my Tofu) they taught us how to make those pounded rice cakes , delicious ! dry them out, slice and fry them with a sprinkle of seaweed and mild soy sauce .... YUM ! he did a make your own miso workshop. well I was certainly going to go to that . Cool . I did everything he showed me. Put it in the best place I could and waited and waited .... the date finally arrived and I eagerly opened it . My God what a horror ! I threw it out into the forest . A week later it was still rotting there , not even the scrub turkeys ate it ! and

And that's why I shun "new and improved interpretations" and "combining practices" and "a creative approach" to any original sources
Nungali replied to Taomeow's topic in The Rabbit Hole
Like Shotokan was THE original karate ? You mean Daiyto Ryu ju jitsu ? .... Oh wait , now they have added an 'aiki ' do .... I mean Daiyto do ... no .... ; Ahhh , the journey I have been on. Eventually I found (as you know ) Matsamura Seito Shorin Ryu - the Sieto (supposedly) being 'traditional' . So, why are there so many guys (schools) that are bonafide MSSR that look like they are doing good ol 'new school ' 'dojo ' / sports karate ? ( Thats a question I ask myself , I'm not asking you . And ther weapons demos standing there like a dork or moving like robots while they twirl their weapons and the rest of their body does nothing or some lame shit . . Why am I doing things that my own MSSR 'instructor' cant do. Why is his technique so full of holes . For those that dont know what I am talking about briefly ; ... its some sort of weird devolution. So although I have not rained with Mr N. ( he died before I got a chance to go to Okinawa) I have made a point of travelling around and meeting those that did , when I could (including Ted) and picking their brains and training with some and getting and observing their films of him practising and teaching and putting it all together in a personal attempt to 'get back to the roots' My point is , I am changing what is said to be THE tradition. I am changing what is being taught , yes, but is this a devolution and the sort of thing this thread subject is complaining about ? Or is it the opposite and am I re finding the original tradition. And does this happen in other traditions , where people think developments are corruptions of what they think is original or bona fide forms . (this is a question for everyone , I am just 'bouncing off' Michaels post here ) Eg. I use some of MR N's 'principles' and add them to forms where they seem missing . Why stand still and twirl a weapon and stomp through movements , when Mr N taught to move totally different to that . Why do 'blocks' when Mr Soken insisted " not block ... no blockie " Why go up and down the hall practising an 'upper block' when there is no such thing ? Why slide your feet around on the dojo floor Japanese style when doing kata, when Mr N taught a snapping stepping up and down and gripping with the toes movement ( essential for outdoor training, in 'environment ', where 'real shit' actually happens ) ... and when he never really ever had a dojo in the first place ??? ) Part of it is our old friend ' money and income' < spits on it ! > And a few of these guys I caught up with dont want to practice any more , or are too old or dont care or whatever ( art of the reason I am on the other side of the country at the moment) . So, as far as the system goes with BOTH empty hand and weaponry, my instructor tells me that me and him are the only ones left in the country that do it any more , and when he stops or dies, I will be the only one left . Well .... considering that I can easily 'kill' him with a variety of weapons and techniques he hasnt even thought of yet nor can figure out from the legacy left behind , I guess I am already it . And no one else is really interested . I think its inevitable , folks, its part of human nature , there IS no original traditions , its all crapped out and devolved , they only hope we got is someone 're-inventing ' ... all people and all teachers will also show their version as well eg . Mr N is VERY small and short , Ted is huge and tall, my instructor is tall and has so much 'instructor syndrome' ( such a huge part of this devolution in ALL traditions - but another story ) embedded into him, its never gonna change Thing is, in MSSR it was never supposed to be the same for each one , each type was supposed to ADAPT it to themselves .... but they where supposed to adapt from a original tradition a. principles and teaching , not adapt from someone else's adaptation . But why they keep devolving to 'Japanese style sport / dojo karate' is beyond me (unless it IS purely for the money and to make a profession out of it, as that is where the money is ! And most nowadays , well here anyway, have classes full of kids Eg, some of us went to another club to train with them and their teachers say to me " We are all in it for the same reason ; to teach and help the kids grow up into responsible adults ." Me; " We dont have any kids in our club and I would NEVER teach kids this stuff ! " ( But I do see what benefit they DO get from a class like they teach .... as I said , it got changed to be able to teach it to primary school kids . ) We could write pages about this, and someone has , its brilliant , on aikido forum about the transmission and emulation of teaching in martial arts by a well qualified aikido instructor and uni lecturer on Japanese culture . I said this before ; start with Honne and Tatemae ' I tell people how it is ... one day a group of instructors will probably gang up on me and beat me for it (or a gang of daobums ) You lucky you found him ! yeah that too ... or getting back to some original form , like I am trying to do ? < nods > There is also the politeness thing ( tatame and honne again ! ) ; One guy I visited that trained with Mr N told me that when he went to see him and train Mr N said 'Show me kata " he did and my N said very politely " Yes yes, very good , Ted 's form is very good . " He told me; " So I said , Mr Nishihira, with all due respect to Ted , I came all the way over here from Australia to learn from YOU . If I want to learn more from Ted , I just drive up the coast and visit him. After that he showed me some great stuff ! " I also heard a polite hint ... " well SOME of those guys trained with Mr Soken on US bases in Okinawa." When you put that together with Dilman's quote ( from referenced youtube above ) re Mr Soken " You just bombed everyone ! Aericans did NOT behave properly in our country and you still dont , even today ! " Another hint I picked up ; people that went to learn karate with them, learnt certain things. people that went to learn about their culture as well, learnt 'certain other things' . I assume this aspect is similar in China ? And Bruce was sick and tired of all the controlling and BS and 'instructor syndrome ' as well. I've done that in aikido as well , especially with taninzudori, which is often practised in such a stylised BS way . But still I implemented some of it into shorin ryu, and then some seniors exclaimed "Thats what Mr N does ! Where did you learn that ! " Did MR N study aikido ? No, he didnt have to . Did the best aikido instructors study with Mr N ? Nope ( They know it , they just 'imply that ' or, to put it in another way ; Aikdido has become 'outwardly polite and 'loving' Ie they dont teach the 'devastating that used to be in it ' .. that happened after they lost WWII ) One thing I did learn, when watching some medieval battle guys ; 3 on 3 , 2 on one side where down and this one guy held his own pretty good against the other 3 ... for some time . I had to ask him later, after seeing what he did ; " Have you done some aikido ?" " Nah ... we all got one head two arms and two legs and joints that all move the same way , and real principles are universal ." Thanks for the bounce off Michael -
I saw a huge fantastic original painting of it last year ... it went to auction and made a HEAP of money . There is a thread about it here somewhere with a large detailed picture included .

As I left shark bay early this morning ( asked ' Big Mom ' for a fav. last night as I was nervous about driving this high top van, on bad narrow roads in very high wind , with a 110 kph speed limit and triple road trains coming the other way). Woke at dawn ... dead calm YES! Saw a fluffy haired dishevelled guy, looking confused waiting behind me at the fuel stop , payment counter . Just out of town there is this woman trying to break into a camper van, with a blanket wrapped around her . Well, that doesnt look right . So I stopped. She had locked her keys , somehow , in the van and was making a silly attempt to break in, she looked cold and had a thin small blanket pulled around her trying to conceal the fact that she was dressed only in skimpy undies . Oh dear ! Now there is a problem. I asked if she was in RAC (roadside assistance) but she said it wasnt a break down. I told her they certainly DO help people that locked keys in car. Then she " But my phones locked in too " - well, use , mine . We found a sticker on the windscreen with their number on it . After some time and bother she got it organised. I asked how it can happen, should be impossible with a modern van. She said the key ring lock was playing up and goes off all by itself from a jolt . " 'WE' threw the keys in on the mattress , slammed the door and CLICK ! " 'WE' ? " Yes, he went to town to try and get help . " " Fluffy brown haired guy ? " ... "YES! Thats him, how did you know ? " .... " Saw him in town, I'll go back and pick him up and bring him back here . What's his name ? " " Frank . Ummm ... should I come with you or wait here ? " "Thats up to you, what do you prefer, to wait in the desert in your undies or get in a strangers van for a ride .... in your undies ." She decided to wait .... Go back, there is Frank trudging up the hill, he must have left town just after me : " YO ! Frank ! Chin up Bro ! Its sorted . " Took him back .... " And take the battery out your car key ! " " Huh Why ? ' .. Oh fer God's sakes ... they might have done it again, you can die out here being that stupid ! * (Obviously they where 'illegal campers' , the only other thing outside the van was a bed roll ) " To disable the faulty lock signal on your keys , that way you will not be able to lock the door unless you are outside the van and do it with the key, manually ." " Oh yeah ! Thats a good idea ! " Drive off , she yells ' You are awesome ! " Me ; < fist pump out window as I drive off > ' Yes ! I AM awesome ! " ................... long gruelling drive . Now camped overnight back at Cervantes, by the beach ... now, where is the 'Lobster Shack ' ? Fly home tomorrow . * ( Hitch hiker murderer - Ivan Milat ) Bad joke :

What a trip it seemed an endless sand road at times . and driving through 'bidera' , those huge seemingly endless salt lakes. I wanted to see a Thorny Devil . Well I saw 3 and they are placid and unmoving and you can pick them up in you hand , cool little guys . They change colours too . Normally , no touch but we where moving them off the 'road' . The sand thee is amazing and feels good under bare feet, such a range of colours right next to each other, some is made from garnet. Dark orange , light orange bright and dark yellows, deep red , maroon , pure white . Saw a 3 finned shark, ( well two fins on its back and a high tail ) Looks like a cross between a sting ray and shark , but is classified as a 'ray' ... although called a shark emu chicks ( very cute ) Cant get close, father will attack you . Mum lays the eggs and then takes off, Dad sits on them and hatches them and stays with them for up to 12 months. Tawny frog mouths pretending to be old broken branches ( what are they doing out here, I got them in the rainforest at home) . Lots of sandalwood trees , with edible fruit ( I didnt know you get fruit off them ) . During WWII many people in inland Australia survived economic hardship by harvesting sandalwood . Some still do and do well out of it , the oil sells for about $5000 per kg (thats about 5 million a tonne ) Saw a dolphin doing that rare thing they do here ; chasing fish up on to the beach and then beaching themselves, eating the fish and flapping back into the water . I Think this is the origin of the Monkey Mia 'tame ' dolphins, it started long ago ; dolphin would chase fish into the shallows, some would get beached in their panic, aboriginals would then pick them up and chuck a few back to the dolphins as a thank you . After a while the dolphins realised they could chase the fish to shore and they would then get some thrown back to them, half stunned from being out the water and easier to catch ... and it developed from the there. And finished the day with a hot tub in artesian mineral springs ..... it makes you skin feel really good , even hours afterwards and is somehow a cure for sunburn . Need that after a day out there Something about that water makes you feel real good . It comes up from 5 km underground . - I leave Shark Bay early in the morning and head back towards the horror of Perth. Got two days . There is a quaint little colonial town I liked going through on the way up, might stop there . And get a good room and a better bed for my back then this camper bed , in prep for long ( for me ) flight home ( why earth did the travel agent book me on an 11:59 pm flight to ? I have to drop of the van at 4 pm at the airport ... gotta wait 10 hours for a 4 hr flight ? ... wait! WTF I just looked up flight times ; Perth to Sydney 4 hrs 10 mins OR it could take 18 hrs W T F ! It better fuckin NOT .... or 'someone' will be gettin arrested !

Yesterday I was hanging out at Little Lagoon again, a beautiful place but surrounded by desolate desert. I am sitting on the a little sand hill on the edge of the lagoon and I am thinking, how did those fellas ( the indigenous) traverse this vast landscape to get from place to place. Then on the far shore a black shape emerges out of the scrub and onto the sand . It stars jogging at a very fast pace around the edge of the lagoon. Eventually it is coming closer and I realise it is an emu. He jogs all the way around to where I am, stopps, looks at me for a bit then continues off around the other side of the lagoon edge . Then this Nanda (tribe) man comes up to me from the car park : " Oh, the old people come say hello to you ! " Turns out it his his older brother that is taking me out to Francois Peron Peninsular today (see above posts) . Then I was talking to another Nanda man there , he tells me . " This is a good place, I come here for healing ." Well, yeah, silly me, of course this is a healing place . I need some due to the horrible dreams I have been having * so I went down to where the lagoon flows out into the creek and ocean ( past any trace of mangroves - its rare and unusual environment here - dont want to hurt any mangrove new shoots hidden under the sand ) and ask ( as in the correct polite form ) " Where do you want me to go ?" I was shown the spot; crystal clear water, clean sand , no weed clumps (that hide stonefish) and a strong wind blowing with wind ripples across the surface in the seaward direction. . I'm tempted to stip completely but, I remember the Bungalung rule over east ; " No nakedybum please ! " Dive in, let the salt water creek current wash over me and stand up and the wind wash over me and all out into the Great Sea . I am remembered of the Gnostic mass ' consecration of elements ' Let the salt of the earth mix with the water, to bear the virtue of the Great Sea , Mother be thou adored. " And as the Sun shines down on me and the wind cleans me I remember the rest ; "Let the fire and air make sweet the world - Father be thou adored . " Then I got out and sat on the sand and some tiny little finches came out the scrub and did a dance with each other in front of me . Got a great nights sleep last night * Weird dreams ..... I dont like Perth .... I got shouted a trip there once to Rottnest Island , Perths primo holiday destination and stayed at the resort there, yeah it SEEMED good but I felt something was up . Thats when the 'unease started. And I have been loat to return , even to Perth ever since . (This time I landed at airport and got out as soon as I could ) . Whatsup ? Imagine this . You go to stay at a 'luxury resort' it seems like that, but you gradually realise it is is a converted concentration camp and your room is made up from a few cells that have had the walls between them knocked out, and then you see, as decor, photographs on the wall of the tortured prisoners . You realise that you have been sleeping in their cells and the ground beneath you is full of their bodies . Well, thats whats up ! Ahhh the relentless wind continues , although somewhat softer today. No doubt a cause of the many old ship wrecks that litter the coast. around the late 1500s sailors discovered that when rounding the southern tip of Africa, if you where game enough, you didnt have to follow the coast all the way up and around to get to Indonesia ( the 'Spice Islands' ) you could cut across the Indian Ocean between 40 and 50 deg lat.lower south and ride 'The Roaring 40s' . But becasue longitude then had yet to be accurately calculated, if you didnt turn north early enough and the wind picked up ... Reefs, cliffs, desert and little water . Well, as I said the wind had been rather fierce the last few days , and someone DID come to grief on the outer islands near where I am at present . However , they where not riding the roaring forties ... they appear to have been trying to get in 'the back door ' and OOOOPS ! Their 'cargo' seems to have been dispersed over an island over 1000 Kg of cocaine . https://www.abc.net.au/news/2019-09-05/men-charged-as-alleged-drug-yacht-runs-aground-abrolhos-islands/11478908 - same thing happened near my place on east coast . Peeps where finding big blocks of it vacuum packed and sealed washed up on the beach. Police put out a bulletin 'If you find anything on the beach , dont touch it, it could be dangerous, call the police straight away ' . Yes officer ... of course

Little Lagoon does have an unusual type of stone fish (venomous ) Also, being a geological nut I find the formation fascinating . During the Pleistocene era , the desert went right out . Big sandhills eventually form big hollows between them that stay there . Over time the rare rain that falls and runs into them carries sediments and salts . The water evaporates and leaves these weird circular depressions, like a little salt lake . https://www.google.com/maps/place/Monkey+Mia/@-25.8845128,113.5141522,5197m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m8!3m7!1s0x2be118d4eeba1d41:0x1d3454125736ca8e!5m2!4m1!1i2!8m2!3d-25.794353!4d113.7179401 Then, after the ice age when the ocean level rose, one got flooded, just in the right spot , so the tide lets fresh sea water in and out . Nearby at Hamelin Pool other 'weird' things happen ; its a huge inlet , tides and wind blow the water in at high tide, but there is a huge sea grass bank (dugong territory ) across the mouth that restricts the flow of water out as the tide runs out. Due to evaporation, it gets saltier than sea water . You float high in it , and it also allows those zillions of shell fish to live as they can handle it but their predators cant . hence Shell Beach ; Hamelin 'Pool' ; https://www.google.com/maps/place/Hamelin+Pool/@-26.1184936,114.1195398,82690m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m5!3m4!1s0x2be0ca70174e20d7:0x5f49023184fa2145!8m2!3d-26.1666667!4d114.0833333 ( I needed to hide from this relentless wind for a while ... oh well, back into it . )

Anywayz - todays adventure ; I am supposed to meet some local Aboriginals tomorrow (briefly, before the tour on Saturday) at 'Little Lagoon' off Monkey Mia Rd ( the place where dolphins come in to get fish off humans ). So I went out early today to get a preview . Wow! The creek out to the ocean . Mangroves ! I havent seen mangroves for ages ... since home. Very clear water , good for flathead , whiting and mullet. Loved that little creek , and the lagoon ; where it flows out to the beach it winds through pure white shell sand and (normally) into the ocean . But I was there at low tide ... man ! Thats some low tide . Waaaaaay out there somewhere was a thin blue line of ocean. I walked a bit towards it but , hmmmmm . So far out , maybe the tide comes in quicker than i could get back ? In the distance, just after that thin blue line was a a reddish and white one , that's Dirk Hartog Island .... the 2nd known Euro landing in Australia 1616 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dirk_Hartog Sources conflict, but I have heard he DID record some meetings with Aboriginals there . I will have to look it up . Any history in books available here is within other history like the fishing or pearling industry . I will have to check it out . I saw one old drawing ... yep, there is them fellas like I supposed ; desert men living on the coast ; tall lanky 'desert runners ' with superb looking physiques . ( Just like other early explorers noted , but is often refuted nowadays ) Some early explorers noted (on east coast ) the excellent physique and 'bearing' the people had ; upright and proud , one supposed 'here is man in his original pure state, neither with a back or neck bent in slavery, behind a plough or at the office desk' .
-
Eh ? Lets see then Manatee; ... oh yeah ..... funny tail, must be from a zillion years ago when beavers decided to move into the ocean . (Which reminds me of a conversation I had with an Aboriginal guy . " The whale, although he lives in the ocean now used to live on the land, because he is a mammal. But before that he lived in the ocean before he came out onto the land . .... Silly fellow ! " Me; " Why is he a silly fellow ?" Him ; " Because he should make his mind up . " ) Awww ... who's a cute little boy then ? ( That ^ is highly verbotten here ! - no touchy ... ) Dugong ; Has a tail that looks like ....and actually, all of her looks like , a mermaid ! (Well, it depends how long ya been at sea for )
-
I will get you a dugong pic soon RV It had to happen, really I have been xtremely lucky so far . The wind . I was warned about it . Been hunkered down for two days .... blowing in from the vast and wild Indian Ocean. 'The van's a rockin .... but no one's 'knockin' . It even blew out my 'squid jiggin' last night . Errmmm, that isnt a reference to the above line ^. Its a way of catching squid that are attracted to the wharf lights here at night .... pot noodles for dinner, no fresh calamari

Kale ... quinoa saw this a few months back at home ; Horrible spoilt 'new age' kid in local supermarket, screaming for a treat " Whaaaa ! Whaaaa I want , I want ! " Hippy Mother looks at chocolate bars ... no ... spots a carob quinoa bar, grabs it, gives it to kid to shut him up. Kid shuts up, rips open bar, bite it and chews .... " WHAAAA ! ... WHAAAAA ! "

Hold still junior !

The thing is folks ... this guy is so 'disturbed' and just plain nuts (or maybe has a serious medical problem - as he did say he has mental health issues ) that in some of his earlier posts he was declaring 'Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the law' to people and following it with :Love is the law, love under will .... Himself ! ... and readily accepting the thanks for it . Then he started saying that love is the law of Satan . and then went on .... one can actually track here his degeneration and further descent into confusion . ,.... he will ignore all that of course \
-
This means nothing just an obvious and desperate scraping of the barrel . If you dont have the time to keep arguing, why are you still doing it . Especially after you said you left . You will have time ... and you will keep doing it . as none can resist his hypnotic will sapping gaze !
-
But I won't leave it unaddressed ; It is the correct convention to quote someone's words directly , in a quote or reply box, as I have done above ^ . otherwise , well, people can just make stuff up cant they ? So cough it up ... where did I say that . ( Also please note , it is agains the rules to change what someone said in a quote box ) NO these are purely your own definitions and left and right hand path means different things for different people. For example, do you know what it means in Yoga, Buddhism, Vedanta ? Here is a kindy intro for you https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Left-hand_path_and_right-hand_path#History_of_the_terms NOpe , his REAL teachings ( found in the initiation tradition ) have nothing to do with manipulating peoples will, only helping THEM to find what THEIR will is . I already gave some quotes " We neither know nor care what your will is . " Also as one goes through the initiations the robes change colour. First it is black and that represents absorption, as you say above , because a 'learner; should be absorbing things . When they have, the robe is white, which is NOT absence as you stated above, it is reflection - you should be reflecting your knowledge , to help others and illuminate situations . nearly every person knows this from the school kid to the 'solar technician' . That is , white light contains all the colours ... have you ever heard of a prism ? Solar light and water panels are black on the sun back side for a reason . Hold your hand on a black surface in the sunlight , then try a white one, if you dont believe me It has already been demonstarted in this thread that yes, Crowley did abhor the Christian / Victorian indoctrination of children, but he replaces it with is not indoctrination but a freedom to allow children to explore their interests and NATURAL PROCLIVITIES . Of course, there are certain restrictions .... he doesnt advocate , like any parent with half a brain allowing them to jump off cliffs to see if they can fly or not , or such other behaviour . Nope. You are making untrained and ignorant (as in uneducated) assumptions . Here is part of the instruction about morals and ethics ; "For wert thou to summon the Gnomes to pander thine avarice, thou wouldst no longer command them, but they would command thee. Wouldst thou abuse the pure beings of the woods and mountains to fill thy coffers and satisfy thy hunger of Gold? Wouldst thou debase the Spirits of Living Fire to serve thy wrath and hatred? Wouldst thou violate the purity of the Souls of the Waters to pander thy lust of debauchery? Wouldst thou force the Spirits of the Evening Breeze to minister thy folly and caprice? Know that with such desires thou canst but attract the Weak, not the Strong, and in that case the Weak will have power over thee." http://lib.oto-usa.org/libri/liber0030.html and as I have previously quoted ; Do good for its own sake, not for reward or praise . But you just ignore all that that has gone before, dont you . 'sexual combat and disease " Didnt you say you had issues with a 'mental health problem" ?

And of course 'he' is back. Ahhh, the old Nungers knows how to predict 'them' I suggest he reviews Proverbs 26 : 11 .

Oh well , just look at other photos of underwater coral, green sea turtles sharks and mantas .... but you dont get to see underwater shots of Nungers . ~$cient mariners.docx

Oh great ... when I attach them they show as great clear photos in the post box and when I hit 'submit reply' they come out like this ;;

Got the file sent to me from the underwater photographer

W O W ! It finally happened . I was a dick yesterday (or was I ? ) missed the boat as I got the time wrong and for some reason they never rang me. So I went out today . Spotted a group . What fun, it was like a Navy Seal's exercise, we had to learn a drill and have three numbered groups . I was in 2. The first gets ready and sits along on the back board , while the 2nd kits up . The spotter is 'Go go go now ! ' and in they go and the next group takes the position. One small group at a time follows them along and then they get signalled to hold and bunch and the boat takes off and leaves you there . This is waaay out from the inner reef. Then it goes and drops the rest off in an intercepting path, picks up the 1st group and then the 3rd gets along the board , and so on . We did 2 cycles of that . First there where 3 and a 4th joined in . All flying and dancing together Of course people didnt follow the pattern and lost the plot , but I did and maintained the left flank , being able to pick where they where going , mostly, until one did this huge swoop towards me . They are BIG ! But incredibly beautiful and graceful and wonderful. I had to back peddle ,,, back flipper to maintain the legally required distance , but couldnt do it , (they can easily do 40 km/hr. so the drill then is to keep still . S/ He saw me and swerved and as S/he passed I could see the huge eye tracking me . Then the front water spotter is waving to the boat going " Four" and they are freaking out, research photographer jumping in . Later I asked what that was about . Apparently 4 together is rare . They only saw one on the day before on the tour I missed and they water was unclear . They said today was perfect and had not seen 4 togeher like that for a year . WOOP WOOP ! Photographer is gonna send me an email file of pics in a day or two . Maybe I can post some later on . Then the wind blew , and got stronger and now tomorrow is predicted to be so windy all tours are cancelled , and thats the day I am booked to leave and head back south to Shark Bay . ' MANTA STIC ! ' Here is some film of internet , just for fun
