On Foreseeing the Future and the Codes of the Torah
Nungali replied to Lois's topic in The Rabbit Hole
It looks like you are asking ; if I can see the future and I can change it , how can I have seen it as the future before it changed ? Maybe a half dozen 'Twilight Zones' and many science fiction novels have that theme . One one hand , we have a seemingly unsolvable problem .... on the other hand , simply , you might be wrong . Now if you can mange to encompass the second solution, see it in you Tarot example ; tarot predicts the future - you will die in a train wreck next week . So you dont catch the train for a week , there IS a big train wreck but you where no on it so you are not dead so the original tarot reading was wrong . Looks rather stupid doesnt it ? And the problem evaporates . Its not that Tarot reading predicts the future , one could say it predicts future trends (if at all ) and one can change a trend . In case the Russian translator makes a mess of that : Trend ; noun A general tendency or course of events: Oh ..... okay ; tendency /tĕn′dən-sē/ noun A characteristic likelihood. "fabric that has a tendency to wrinkle." A predisposition to think, act, or proceed in a particular way. "his tendency to exaggerate." A characteristic pattern or point of view. and that also applies to what is encoded in the Tora , Of course, the other issue is you might not be able to read the Tora OR the Tarot correctly . You know the story in the Tora about the 'non - humans' ? My Jewish mate has decoded that to mean the rise of AI . Now he has to build tunnels underground (he was miner before ) for himself and the other Jews (of his specific persuasion ) to go and survive in ( Although I am not sure how being in a tunnel saves you from AI ? ) The future remains mostly unknown but ....- 1 reply

Actually it is exactly what some martial arts claim . Especially Japanese ones . That transition happened after WWII occupation where things like martial arts where banned . They got it around iot by ' No no no ... these are arts for self development .... the opponant is yourself , etc . Aikido was the classic ; went from the secret art of a military cult (Ueshiba and his mates ) to some peaceful way of loving resolution (via his son post WWII )- 137 replies

Thats great ! Looks like good soil . I liked the way they include that info . I did a study on my place and the valleys formation and wrote it up , it goes back to the formation of proto-Australia , when it moved to the South Pole and formed in with 'Gondwanaland' , how the valley was formed by ancient subduction fault under the ocean, surfaced , volcanic activities and the formation of soils and different soil profiles . This is the sort of area I am in ; https://www.nationalparks.nsw.gov.au/conservation-and-heritage/gondwana-rainforests-of-australia adjacent to this one ; https://www.nationalparks.nsw.gov.au/visit-a-park/parks/dorrigo-national-park Also I used to work for Bio-dynamic Agriculture Australia and for a while I was the soil preparation and additives maker for them supplying across the country . WWOOF is the go, and is used on a few of the old communes / 'communities ' here . It pays to build some workers accommodation and facilities , and put on good food ... many hands make good farming possible . A friend of mine has twin 19 yo daughters , they recently did a trip across Europe WWOOFing . Just think , a strong lad like you could come here , do gardening work AND get MA training !- 137 replies

In practice I am to have 'no mind' - a mind not thinking of anything , especially things that have noting to do with what you are doing then . But you dont really need mind for this, after a while , it should eventually become ; observation and response due to to training . I think an aspect of the mind is at work here sometimes , when things get 'tricky' or you become 'innovative' ( I am talking about being in a situation like a sword 'match' ) but its a deep unconscious aspect in another time stream , not the 'monkey mind ' . If people could not do this ( 'no mind ' ) I would then advise them to think of or visualise, with their mind, 'clear blue sky ' . The physical body side of things all stems from the idea of 'keeping weight underside ' . The other two aspects are ; constantly projecting ki , through the arms and hands and out the fingers , but also from everywhere ; the pores of the skin, the eyes , etc . And 'absorbing ki ' via the 'one point ' ( similar to LDT ) . Thats the 4 elemental aspects , in the above order of ; air (mind ) , earth ( body / balance / gravity ) , fire (ki ) , water (absorption) . Oh, the Chinese system has metal as an element as well .... that would be my sword .- 137 replies

One of our instructors was telling me that when he was in Okinawa to train with our teacher , teacher would not train with them all the time , sometimes he would sit there and watch other times sit there and read . So he asked teacher what he was reading . He held the book up , printed in Japanese and said , " Socrates ! " - then again, I dont think too many people hit him in the head .- 137 replies

Why ? I see it like this . You might be able to walk to the top of the mountain with a map . But what if you want to test your skills and what you have learnt previously and see if you can get up there without a map . And lets say you have been up that mountain many times before , then you would be just working on memory and not skill of orienting a new way forward . So you go through a process where you forget what you knew about the mountain and the way up , to see if you can work it out again . You might make it ... or you might fuck up ... and least later you will know where and why you fucked up ... and take that on board for next attempt .... ie. try to remember the processes that worked for you because the actual route will be erased from your memory each time you try it . The details of each life may not be that important , its the learning of 'process' or what the Sufis call 'learning how to learn ' ... so it 'sticks' Sorry if this attempt at simplicity made my communication unfathomable -

Cool ! What are you going to farm ? That could be a good start if you do a lot of it manually . In at least one MA tradition I know of , when they came together to train the people from the countryside ( the farmers ) would trounce those from the city ... they got too soft . Farming makes ya strong ! I will hide this as its a bit 'not nice' Farming will certainly help you 'master yourself ' . As long as you are not rich and high tech (sitting inside while auto tractor does the work directed by satellite won't actually help you ) I train with 'farmers' tools as weapons ; pole (staff) sickles, flails, hoe, hatchet , machete , etc . ie kobudo. ATM I am doing potatoes, tomatoes, broccolini .- 137 replies

Animals, the rational animal and suffering
Nungali replied to Sir Darius the Clairvoyent's topic in General Discussion
nice to know I am a .1% er . and other things .... got three little yabbies , put them in the tank , over time, one of them is more aggressive - bully boy , keeps beating up on the other two . Eventually they have a little discussion in the corner and advance on bully , abreast , nippers out front . Bully takes a higher position up a bit of weed and presents claws . The two move in and .... I swear this true ! ..... a little neon tetra swims past the bully and just as it passes towards the back of bully yabbie's head , he flings a claw back, snatches it, brings it forward , rips its head off and drops the head, climbs up the weed and now over the top of the other two , waving the headless fish body in the air over them . They freak out and scatter , and act totally freaked and scared all the next day . So I moved bully out to the pond . Here is an amusing one ; mate got new motorcycle and was sitting on verandah .... just as well he was admiring it parked on the lawn and watching . A bowerbird flew in , snatched the keys (blue key ring ) out the ignition and flew off with them . He chased it and saw where it went generally , did a search of the undergrowth , found the bower with keys in it . Took them back and swapped the keyring for red one . A bower birds bower : they will collect anything blue . Also dont use blue plastic clothes pegs, your washing will end on the ground . - and thats not even the 'magical stuff' Was that just for me ? ( You forgot I was a neo-Platonist but remembered I have a possum and babies sleeping over my bed, and various others in various places and my teacher is possum totem ? ) So I couldn't agree with you more . Although that has nothing to do with the special abilities humans have (note, I never said they where superior abilities ) -

Good point . Spiros may not agree ; And also this is in a context of a few discussions (posts on DBs) , posts I have made or in discussion with 'Natura Naturans ' re ; eudaimonia , 'True Will' , Khvahrenah ' , in short one's reason and purpose for being here . It might seem insignificant but this is viewed in contrast with the many modern westerners who dont know why they are here or what their purpose is . Its even said that is the main question of life . Eg; in another thread I said '' Is it rational to go to work every day in a job you dont like that is unfulfilling and depressing ? '' There might be a rationale in WHY you are doing it but that is something different . First I look at 'rational ' ; Logically sound; not self-contradictory or otherwise absurd. It also relates to an individual : Healthy or balanced intellectually; exhibiting reasonableness. 'The Greeks' have terms for those two as well and they consider them 'eudamonic ingredients ' . Even the Cosmos can have a reason - according to Pythagoras , so it is something 'inherent' , not something (in this view) restricted to the human psyche . Perhaps similar to the Egyptian Goddess (and 'principle' ; Ma'at - a type of cosmic 'reason' or 'order' ) ? Plato puts it at the top of our personal 'hierarchy' , above things like passions and drives . He also sees it as THE essential ingredient towards eudaimonia " (Plato) described the highest human happiness or well being (eudaimonia) as a life which is lived consistently, excellently, and completely in accordance with reason . " Aristotle ? Nah . So they are the ancient Greeks and the stream of philosophy I am referring to . (And I thought it would be obvious I am a neo-Platonist ... after all these years and posts ? ) Anyway, tying all of the above together ; the monkeys had reasoning power , eventually , and cracked the nut . Thats the type of reason most think of when they define reason . But our 'output' (things we do and make to solve those problems and much more complex ones (ie. our technology ) , no monkey or no other animal does that . That is our specific 'skill' . The skill is, as I hinted at above' an ability to physically create a 'cultural object ' (including a tool ) that does not just have an immediate use , but for a future use, by imagining a scenario and how it might play out and then making an object or tool to deal with that , in the future . This faculty especially comes into play when it is a multi use tool - in fact modern multi use tools are popular and even cause some form of delight or appreciation in us - I will use two examples ; the woomera ; spear thrower , club, digging scoop, digging point , plate , water ladle / carrier . Boomerang . I have seen a guy throw one , it curved around the field and started to come back in the usual way , but then just slowed down and hovered, about shoulder height , an arms length away from the thrower ... and just hang there , stationary in the air , rotating slower and slower until it flopped to the ground . Thats pretty good for a guy that 'only' uses bits of rocks and wood ! If you want to know how they make them do that ; https://www.math.uci.edu/~eesser/papers/justboom.pdf Now, when we are successful at this particular human skill, it gives us a buzz, an inner satisfaction and it is healing and healthy ; creative output , that has been envisaged and materially made by your own creative genius . Thats what we are here for as humans , and as individuals its that specific type of expression that our own individual 'genius' gives us ('genius' again in the ' Greek sense' , and 'genius ' ... genii ... is intimately connected to 'tutelary deity ' ) - 'soul expression ' - and that is also one the key 'ingredients' to eudaimonia . So now, if we 'follow or True Will' , as Crowley encouraged us to , if we follow the path of our kvharenah , as Zoroaster advised us to , and we find our specific purpose , work and our field of genius , and do that .... we will not be leading an irrational life , and wondering why we have to do this job (or even for some ; this life ) we dont feel we want to, that does not fulfil us , but instead follow our true nature and creative expression of our individual genius ... and we get acclaim , or recognition or position for that , we might even (and some do ! ) do that for our job ( " I LOVE my job ! " I go to 'work' everyday and I get paid for doing what I love ! " ) , we will be very close to eudaimonia . Which does not depend on fame , acclaim or riches , or possessions . For with them, but with no purpose you will become depressed , but for those that found their function and purpose, and do it its ....... the opposite . And of course your work or will is not for any to judge , everything I said could apply to the check out chick, the helicopter pilot, the mother , the fisherman and the proud native that stands outside his hut , thumping his chest and saying " I am a man and a hunter , and yesterday I hunted enough meat for all my people for two days ! " While another ; " That is good. I have made a 'cultural object' and with it I am going to teach about an idea I have had that will bring all the tribes and countries in this land together and enable them to live in a new era of peace , prosperity and abundance ... its going to end the wars ! Eh ? Regareding the actual difference .... I did a years long anthropological study on this . I examined one theory ( about what makes us different from other animals ) after another and discounted most of them - for valid reasons, that is . Also the history of this has gone the same way ; we have thought it was this feature or that function, differently, over time, but they got discounted too . My first anthropology text book had 'Man - the tool maker' as the distinction . That got tossed out long ago ! I think the Greeks used 'rationality' in a way we do not , first it was a very extensive definition . Second, what would modern irrational mind know about it . And third, I suspect they came to the same conclusions I did but did not have the same words to express it . I can see how the distinction is indeed a form of 'rationale' . An 'extended rationality' regarding the future projected use of an artifact , and also the multi use of a created object . Its about imagination, visualsation, rationalization and an ability to materialize that in a cultural object . -

Maybe our quarks got into a looped top spin ?

The ancients saw three ideal ( non' material ' ) energies , generating 6 modes, producing 'reality' (or 'Earth ' ) - 10 'spheres' ( with 22 significant connections) with perhaps an 11th sphere separated (in ' the abyss' between ideals and mode " In string theory, physicists tell us that the subatomic particles that make up our universe are created within ten spatial dimensions (plus an eleventh dimension of "time") by the vibrations of exquisitely small "super-strings". " https://sites.google.com/site/mywish2bmukt/11-dimensions Mmmmmmmmm ..... ' M Theory' anyone ? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M-theory# or https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eleven-dimensional_supergravity

Yes, science cleared up all that hocus pocus , mysterious and silly named things... even things influencing other things with no material connections or influences ! Now we understand how everything works , including one particle being in two places at once, except it isnt , mass less 'particles' , quark charges with 'colour' and 'charm' ..... it enough to put your head in a 'top spin ' What a shame .... all tat work I did collating the 3:4 cosmos ! * There are no longer 4 fundamental forces with 3 linked and the 4th somehow ( ? ) related ..... we got 4 new 'things' ... with the first 3 linked and the the 4th ...... Oh yeah and the 3 fundamental (smallest ) particles of the atom got thrown out too ... we got new ones ..... 3 of them . And quarks ? Well, guess what ? I know ... I know ... someone is bound to bring up baryons ! ... and if anyone thinks the 'old stuff' was 'spooky ' : https://cms.cern/news/spooky-action-distance-between-heaviest-particles Oh look ^ another 3 : 4 * in case new members haven't got a clue what I am referring to :
