It's okay ... my ego can read and handle it Ahhhh ..... a 'jolt' ... from the stars even ! Mine was at an early stage and was, as they say, 'in broad daylight' and related to water /sky . I think I have related my experience here in earlier threads, so briefly ; I was young , maybe about 7, on holidays with family at a (salt)waterside house. Out the front, grass, trees, and a small beach with extended sand bar. High tide. I am standing up to knees on the flooded sand bar, looking into the channel, watching the tidal current move the long water weeds into a sinuous flowing dance. Then I see a woman is doing the same dance in amongst the weeds, deep underwater. I watched entranced then I thought ; " Wait, how can she breathe down there ... is it a mermaid? Silly me, it must be a reflection on the water's surface . But where is the woman?' I looked up and she was in the sky above me in a simmering silver egg shape and a bright blue sky. I felt a stream of energy come from her and connect with my forehead . A lot of 'information' (and a complex noise ) was passing into me, but I didnt know what it was. Then I heard my name being called from far away and it got closer and kept calling . As it snapped me out of it I realised it was my mother . " Nungaliiii ! " ( sorry , time for a little joke ) And then she started up on me ; " What on earth are you doing ? You have been standing out in the water for ages and ages and staring at the sky and you wouldnt answer me when i was calling you" . Being young, I thought this was an unusual experience, but had no reason to think it wasn't 'normal', or I should hide it, so I told her . She told me "Not to be silly ' . .... and this from a Roman Catholic ! Anyway, I got zapped. That experience made a big part of what I am. At various times in y life, of danger, difficulty, enjoyment, mentation, realisation, intuition, etc I feel a connection with that energy and link that is still there, but now mostly 'unconscious' . It surfaces. Its also developed and linked in to too much stuff to write about here . Years later I realised : at the time I was attending 'Our Lady star of the Sea ' primary school. She is the patron Saint of the ocean and mariners in trouble. Is one guise of many related forms . I am a Cancer Sun sign (affinity with water, oceans, nurturing, motherhood Moon , emotions, etc ) So, although, for now, the experience may be abstract, so some extent, I am sure you will be able to draw from it and be supported by it throughout your life.

Oh ... my assumption was it was when your Moon entered its own natal sign, not when the Moon entered one's natal Sun sign. And . ... also an assumption that it the 3 days would start at the point of the 'lunar return' eg. my natal Moon is 1 degree Leo, so its the same (at the beginning ) but if it was 29 deg, Leo ..... Or the Moon going with a natal Sun (Mine is 0 Deg. Cancer ), not just at the beginning of the sign. So it must be an earth based (ie. seasonal dynamic ) ? Wand is the tool of will and evocation , it certainly relates to fire and 'spirit'. Going on Tarot suits they magically represent the elements. So air is actually the dagger. A sword is a planetary weapon relating to Mars, along with the spear and drum . A dagger or sword should be used for evocation , and hence more related to the 'mind' , hence air . Try working all this out in the southern hemisphere ! Many a time I have had some astrologer go at one of my 'southern hemisphere charts' Bias is extreme ! Have a look at the GD attribution of 'Tarot' to the world (Earths topography ) ... its all in the north and the south is empty ... what an imbalanced system ! The reason ? It says in their own text that it is not shown due to the lack of spiritual development in the southern hemisphere ! Really ? What Victorian ignorance . been happening down here for 60,000 years , right up to the present peeps down here (some Wiccans) where still doing a north hemisphere / elemental / seasonal circle set up. All to much for her, she covered my (permanent in place ) elemental alters with her cloths and set them up the way she thought was 'true' .... but she a witch, not a magician, even so, I would have thought a witch would understand such local natural phenomena ? So a little study reveals flaws and mistakes, more study reveals maybe they where not flaws and mistakes, and more study and a lot of practice and learning reveals different methods for different situations . Yeah . "Armed' on all levels ; A strong and individual spirit and psyche that is not dominated by others. Clear and balanced emotions that are not caught up in or manipulated by others. A deep and penetrative intelligence and developed mind that is not easily distracted from its purpose. And a fit healthy body that has learnt to use its functions correctly (working or defending itself ) . A few times I have had would be bullies try to get something over on me ( I dont worry about trivialities, I am talking more serious stuff ) I have said ' have a go' and explained the above to them. They gave me a confused and unsure look and backed off (as bullies prefer to manipulate the weak ) . One should be protected on all levels (one level really).

Ahhhh . the old 'toe switching' method

One of the first stages in magical development . It should be right at the beginning. First you need to energise and build up your own power. Work on a surrounding 'field'. Some see it as an egg shape out on the edge of the 'aura', a light blue or reflective surface , or even mirror surface . later on another stage is developed relating to absorption and 'cancellation' by 'neutralising the 'opposite energies' . I can give reference to practices and exercises but the are in the western magical tradition. If you prefer an eastern system, I am sure there are others here that know about that .

Some times we have 'dancing visitors' in the park when we train. In particular, a very old guy, he turns up on a cluttered bicycle with all sorts of things he has made attached to it. A little trailer with a sound system. He sets it up, off with the shirt and he dances wildly to Elvis and the like . He is active and flamboyant in his moves, but also a little infirm. at times ... he makes up for that with extra flamboyant flourishes and unusual exotic poses . He maybe thinks we are doing that too !

Ohhhh , you know, the usual 'wants' ..... a nice place to live that suits my temperaments ; clean pristine environment, rivers waterfalls, near the beach, on the edge of the rainforest, access to wilderness and light civilisation ; plenty of land around to grow food, or places to buy it cheap, I like a mix of both. Some nice people about, not too many. Plenty of lovely women. Some kids to play with and watch them enjoy this place to , growing up healthy and in wonder discovering nature and life in a good wholesome place. I got all that. Actually a stunningly nice young lady turned up the other day with two small boys . They are camped down the front paddock under some river oaks , all of a sudden, according to her, I am an Uncle ! ... as she told her little boy ..... 'Uncle Nungali.' . I want more kids to come here and grow up, like the others did , its a great place for them. I recently got a few new toys that I needed; a ride on mower, 2 cars, a couple of work trailors, a bunch of tools . I'm building a shed out the back and putting in some rainwater tanks.. I am redecorating the cabin with old school post 'mid century' / Australian colonial furniture and fittings while hiding the mod cons and wiring so they cant be seen. I got most of that ... still working on a bit more , installing a new wood burning heater this week. Enough money to be comfortable and not worry about where it goes or who I chose to give it to . I got all that too . I want to eat a variety of nice exotic food and meet people from 'nice exotic' cultures. I want to not put on more festivals, I done about a dozen in my time, had enough fun doing that. I want to NOT do administration or get involved with bureaucracy and commerce. So I dont . I want to fulfil my True Will, the reason I incarnated in this life - done that, and found more, and did that too. I wanted to learn develop and grow in the Western mystery tradition, did that and started a regional body and eventually learnt and was approved by IHQ of that body to be an initiator and help other people along that path ... ... 31 people all up, if my memory serves me . So I did that. I wanted to meet, live with, come to an understanding of and learn from Australia indigenous people . I did and still do that. I have shamanic teacher in that tradition. I am older now so I want to also quieten down, relax and retire - doing that . I always wanted to study and learn about 'us' so I went to Sydney Uni (oh yeah, I always wanted to go to University , did that, when it was all supplied for free here ) and study Anthropology, particularly cultural anthropology .... and have continued ever since. Mostly, I wanted to live free and hassled and just do what I want to do, find a real inner contentment and satisfaction in life , done that. Actually, I very satisfied with it all , happy fulfilled, and have thanks and gratitude. I am happy and pleased with my lot, if I am going to die today , that is ok as I have had a wonderful life , even though I am not sure about an afterlife , if I pass 'into 'oblivion' that's okay too . Oh yeah, as a youth I always wanted to practice magick, so I worked at becoming a practising ritual magician, did that too ( thats how all the above stuff came to me ) So, that is some , but not all, I in my wisdom, have come to know that I want in life and that is what, I in all my wisdom. got . It was a well timed question as it is now early Christmas day morning, and I have not got one present ... but I have got all I want anyway. Soon I will go and visit my neighbours and watch others ( their little girl and our new guests 2 boys ) get things they want and play with them. Later I want to take delightful new lady and the boys for a drive up the valley to a special 'secret' very special and beautiful swimming hole in the river. I haven't done that yet ..... but I will .
