The only surviving shots, the last representative of the tribe of Giants Chacha
Nungali replied to Lois's topic in The Rabbit Hole
How does that compare with a journey around India, down SE Asia, around Australia to east coast and down to NZ before crossing the largest unbroken expanse of ocean on the planet ? I am all for early seafaring , I am a proponent of it actually, but in this case, I think suggesting a stop over in NZ is unfounded, and probably comes from not understanding ocean currents and wind patterns , that is, their variations, ( eg , La Nina / El Nino 'direction flow switch' - which ancient Pacific sea travellers knew about ) and just trying to nut things out from the general understandings of average flow ; ie. normally , the current goes east to west through the Islands and west to east further south near the latitude of NZ. However, ingress into Sth America seems like a coastal migration 'around the top' and down the west coast. That appears to be how the Australian Aboriginals got there http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-3170959/Were-Aborigines-AMERICANS-Native-tribes-Amazon-closely-related-indigenous-Australians.html -

In many cases I have seen, they try to emulate what they think was an ancient technique and that fails so they assume a hidden and unknown technique was used . Eg, they find copper saws and some say they were used to cut stone. So then they try to cut the stone with the saw - fail. Then it is announced that this idea is BS (without realising all the saw was for was to move an abrasive grit in the cut with a hardness greater than the stone) . I dont understand what you mean by ; " it's clear that the archeologists are either lying on purpose or real extra stupid, conforming themselves to the 'official' biblical story." ? or did you mean ; " ..... conforming themselves to the 'official biblical story'. " ( 'official biblical story' meaning 'accepted academic view' ? ) -
It was a perfect example of what I was talking about, why these things happen the way they do and the processes Peter Goldsworthy explains, which is why I included it . Except it wasnt posted as 'proof of Ueshiba being a fraud' .... I didnt claim he was a fraud, actually. When I say I studied Aikido for years, I mean I trained with many accomplish people and teachers, attended workshops and seminars, studied the history and development of it and the cultural context and historical periods of its development. Also some spiritual side of it ( and I dont mean the modern BS 'aikido is love' ... I am talking about weird spirits demons and spells , Ueshibas practice of sword fighting with a demonic form of himself . His archaic manner (many students could not understand his ancient Japanese ) etc . .... in other words, I have read 'first hand accounts' . .... and yes , I do read ...

I prefer my history written when stoned . ...... then its erased from short term memory loss . That is important because .... ummmm ... because ...... errrrrm .... wot ?
-
I get all that as I did aikido for many years . Also I am aware of Ueshibas 'demos' and the films - make of it what you will folks ; For detailed explanations I recommend the extensive writings of Peter Goldsworthy on Aikiweb - Peter is a scholar and somewhat of an expert on 'certain dynamics' of Japanese culture that made such Japanese martial arts, what they are today , including concepts of respect, tataeme and honne, 'teacher emulation' , transmission, developments, etc . Many Aikido tricks are based on physical principles ... and some just seem 'politeness for teacher' or 'demonstrations' . Here is another 'unliftable body' technique with 'Master little kid (and sister )' ;

So does this : " For example holding a sword out and having multiple people press against it sideways and it being immovable. Terry Dobson, a Westerner wrote he applied his full strength suddenly and didn't move an inch. " yet, you believe that ^ .

The Relationship between Effort and Power
Nungali replied to silent thunder's topic in General Discussion
For me, power and efficiency ( ie, delivered power , not expended power ) results in an understanding of the forces in question and working with them as much as possible to achieve your ends. They might be physical or psychological forces. In other words, you are using the inherent 'power' that already exists in things and processes ... or taking advantage of 'weakness' (as in the case of splitting wood . Taking that example, I have learnt a lot. I need to split a fair bit as its my only home heating source in winter and I have back and hip and other issues, so I have to be very efficient . Our firewood is not split with an axe but a 'block splitter' as it is very hard dense and often has twisted grain in 2 directions. The technique I us is to raise the splitter head in front of me about chest height and let it drop, this supplies downward moment which I can use to manoeuvrer behind me and up, to raise the head in the air above my head. Just before it reaches its zenith, I whip my arms down ( keeping back straight and shift to a deep horse-riding stance ) , this makes the arc travelled smaller (in a sort of spiralled in path) and speed and momentum increase and combine with the initial moment of the downward swing and now, gravity as well. If I need to cross the river when flooded, I just float along downstream and move across where the current allows, or it takes me there. Foresight and knowing the terrain and the 'ways of water' help. . ... and when I want to get out of bed, I just roll to the edge and fall off (not really ) . So, when you add these principles to 'strong power' a lot can be accomplished. Without this knowledge power is wasted - a lot expended for a little result. Its a bit like the power of thought , which should come before actions ; "Fixed thought is a means to an end. Therefore pay attention to the power of silent thought and meditation. The material act is but the outward expression of thy thought, and therefore hath it been said that βthe thought of foolishness is sin.β Thought is the commencement of action, and if a chance thought can produce much effect, what cannot fixed thought do? -

Where DID those Amazon natives come from originally ? I saw a doco once where they postulated a large scale civilisation there and showed some evidence of surviving large scale terraforming / agriculture and said that the present 'natives' may have adapted to that state after the collapse of said 'civilisation' . Lost tribe of ....... ? -

Ohh, I dont mind you .... you are interesting to observe in your reactions LIke, thinking that I am still explaining why the video wasnt real, when I was actually responding to some comments and suggestions you were making, in your role as a 'suggesterator' , to me about my observations and perceptions of reality. .... Cha cha cha -
Indeed! It looks as if it was born with a silver spoon in its mouth ! But some cats are very poor and do not even have a human family and must rely on adoption

? Did I mean to say that ... is that the question ? .... if so , no , I didnt mean to say that .

Ohhh .. you noticed that eh ? But for some such 'mere details' do not matter . 'Metallic support' may not be the only way of doing it ;

I see ... so I suppose you think I should ignore the total expose of this being faked and made up, ignore the other posts which exposed it .. and just 'esoterically believe' in it ? wet blanket is good for sending smoke signals ; F - A - K - E N - E - W - S Oh yeah ? I see it differently .... a ' giant creature' is waddling towards you in the dim twilight and your dry blanket makes you think giant humans doing the Cha Cha .... so, not even questioning its 'existence' you run off to tell everyone, but ..... It was only 'George' .... ..... but if you choose to support Lois' 'shenanigans' .... < shrug > . -
I ...... dont know what you're talkin' about

Yes, I have a small personal plot . Your pics look like someone invested some time in infrastructure - thats good. Regarding your experiment ... I will wait and see, but I have never done and would not do it that way. If I get you right ; raise a seed and chop the shoot off and re grow the cutting and hope the stem will also re shoot ? Good luck with that one ! Most plants need to be established, develop side shoots and it is these that are cut and 'cloned' . In other cases ( as in many Australian natives) aerial cloning needs to be done . If you like impatiens, I have a mass of niamniamensis ( Parrot Plant ) on the shady side of the cabin; They sprout roots up the stem so just need to snap sections off and stick them in the ground. You are free to have any religious belief you choose and I will not criticise that ... but this is certainly not evidence of what is said in Torah. You claimed Cha Cha tribe ... yet you refuse to answer the question about them relevantly ... who are they and where did they come from ? -

and they are all different parade crowds cut and pasted together, this is a really bad attempt at trying to fool people ... one would have to be r e a l l y gullible to believe in it . -
