During sleep, your body alternates between REM (rapid eye movement) and NREM (non-rapid eye movement) sleep. One cycle of REM and NREM sleep lasts about 90 minutes. NREM sleep occurs first and takes up to 75% of your overall sleep time. During NREM sleep, your body relaxes and restores itself. At the end of NREM, your sleep shifts to REM. Your eyes move quickly and dreams occur, but the rest of your body remains very relaxed. Your muscles are "turned off" during REM sleep. If you become aware before the REM cycle has finished, you may notice that you cannot move or speak. https://www.webmd.com/sleep-disorders/guide/sleep-paralysis#1

Oh......please! "try sleeping in another position." ......... An episode of sleep paralysis may cause you to be unable to speak. It can also make you unable to move your arms and legs, body, and head. You are still able to breathe normally. You are also fully aware of what is happening. An episode can last for seconds or minutes. The episode usually ends on its own. It may also end when someone touches you or speaks to you. Making an intense effort to move can also end an episode. Sleep paralysis may occur only once in your life. It may also happen many times in a year. It can be very scary when you are unable to move. You may feel anxious and afraid. Some people also hallucinate during an episode. They may see, hear or feel things that are not there. They may even think that another person is in the room with them. These hallucinations may also appear without the sleep paralysis. Sleep paralysis tends to first appear in the teen years. It then occurs most often when you are in your 20s and 30s. It may continue into your later years. It is not a serious medical risk. Sleep paralysis can be one sign of narcolepsy. The absolute horror and terror my young friend had with it was NOT due to "...before you leave your body (astral projection)..."

First, is it sleep paralysis? are you experiencing being unable to move your body when falling asleep or when waking up from sleep ? this is essential first step on deciding if it is paranormal or just your mind playing tricks.

Book Of Enoch Chapter 22....Souls of the dead
Nungali replied to TheCLounge's topic in General Discussion
Well, where did this church gets its angel from in the first place ? The Bible no doubt. There are 'elemental angels in the Bible as well. Obviously many modern Christian churches are wholly ignorant of their older origins where they actually had a cosmology and 'Hierarchy of Celestial Beings/ or Angels . Looking at just the archangels ; The evidence leads to three archangels. There are a total of seven archangels as illustrated in the Book of Enoch. Only one is actually described in the Bible. But the historical book of Enoch ( and other sources * ) say that there are seven archangels of which Michael may be the head archangel, * https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seven_Archangels They hierarchy might be better understood by looking at the old model of the 'Universe' The earth at the centre; 'interior' , surrounded by the 'spheres' of the planets, the fixed stars and constellations, the hierarchy of beings, moving upwards and outwards and all surrounded and encased by 'The highest aspect' . Like spheres or shells ; they termed them 'crystal spheres'. It also helps to understand the way they saw everything as inter=related and effecting things in 'nature' , the 'earth' . -
I went outside my box and had a look. Sorry if I offended you by me not seeing how relevant Lois' dolly and her story is to Hopi Indians

Book Of Enoch Chapter 22....Souls of the dead
Nungali replied to TheCLounge's topic in General Discussion
interesting postulations . But with qualifications ; 1. 'Back then ' ( 'old mind' , pre scientific revolution, 'western civilised mind' ) an angel, a celestial object / phenomena , a persons character, a specific gem, animal , etc etc . could all be 'the same thing' , just manifestations of that same thing. So I wouldn't say 'nothing but' astrological figures . But I think the descriptions of angels show astrological qualities. 2. Our propensity to 'personalise' , 'deify' , 'give character to' objects and forces so they are better understood or related to. This is more obvious in cases of 7 sets - usually relating to the 7 observable celestial objects . Take the developments in Zoroastrianism for example ; Supposedly one of the first expressions of monotheism; yet 'Ahura Mazda' has 6 'amesha spentas' . Some considered this , then an expression of henotheism, not mono theism. In any case, they are clearly defined as 'aspects of God' or 'observable qualities that a person can have ' that attributed to God. Over time they morph into 'Yazata' , a concept we later got the ideas of angels from. One interpretation is God ( or Ahura mazda) is the Sun, and the 'divine sparks' of Ahura Mazda are the other 6 observable celestial moving objects . There is a whole central idea around this and many ancient ways of thinking and comprehending the observable. Also, one should realise that before a certain time, hermetic thought, neoplatonism, astrology etc, were all valid subjects in Christianity. It was only later that the 'pogrom' appeared and started changing, sensoring and apocaphising a lot of its older writings. The concept of 'interrelatedness' is still pop in neohermetic circles, the occult, etc. It still has surviving forms in modern society eg, ones birthstone on a ring, I think the jewellers society publishes such lists now. The Modern classic is 777 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/777_and_Other_Qabalistic_Writings_of_Aleister_Crowley#Liber_777 - 3. The subject itself is cryptic and lends itself to analogy, metaphor and imagery. And, at certain times it had to be masked to avoid persecution. The original pop version is in Agrippa ( but note his Christian focus and introductory 'apologetics' )...... soon persecution for any involved was soon to rear its head . -
Yes ..... I can see you playing with the doll and reciting that story while you mimic it (badly ) with the doll . Except you didn't write that did you Lois ? You just copied it off the internet . Like you selected the dolly picture from the internet and posted it randomly here . Why ? I am supposing to try and divert from the issue that what you posted previously was shown to be rubbish ... silly new age mis appropriation of culture knowledge . Not that your type ever just comes out with it . There is a claim and then linking to irrelevant long vids ( with no summary or even comment from them ) , they post out of context pictures , some that are photo shopped . And go on about some alien UFO stuff or other New age BS and ... ......... oh ! .... Ooooooo ... I mean ...... thank you - come again !

Book Of Enoch Chapter 22....Souls of the dead
Nungali replied to TheCLounge's topic in General Discussion
Is this from the real book of Enoch ore the pop new age fake one ? The real one is obviously about astrology, as evidenced by the beginning of its first chapter ( which is a better reference to show the associations . This obvious link is maybe one reason it was considered 'Apocrypha ' and not included in The Bible ? -
are you introducing others conversation into our conversation ?

0 = 2 ( ie, two 'things' ; +1 + -1 = 0 ) or yin and yang = Dao . Or Dao contains the yin and yang * Yet : 00 = 0n-n = 0n ÷ 0n = (0n ÷ 1) × (1 ÷ 0n). Of course 0n ÷ 1 remains 0; but 1 ÷ 0{n} = ∞. ...and affirms Ch 42 of TTC ; " The Tao begot one. One begot two. Two begot three. And three begot the ten thousand things. The ten thousand things carry yin and embrace yang. They achieve harmony by combining these forces. " * https://hermetic.com/crowley/magick-without-tears/mwt_05 (Its only logical ) .

Love builds happy homes...Lust destroys them

" Worship and neglect not, the physical body which is thy temporary connection with the outer and material world. Therefore let thy mental Equilibrium be above disturbance by material events; strengthen and control the animal passions, discipline the emotions and the reason, nourish the Higher Aspirations. Love builds happy homes...Lust destroys them
Nungali replied to TheCLounge's topic in General Discussion
Lust can be seen energetically ; as a vigorous joyful desire to expression. As in "lust for life" . Sexually, it seems a reaction to sensed 'good genetics' (in its pure form ) - meaning , one can sense 'unconsciously' a viable mating partner to produce good offspring. But sometimes this can be interfered with by other inputs, conditionings , 'phylias', 'phobias', and all sorts of programs. Lust can trigger other responses reactions and needs 'over riding ' them. For example; I worked virtually day and night on a 90 hour painting once; a couple of hours snooze a night, hardly any food ( actually, normal food intake will bring one out of this state ) . . . one gets higher and higher (until reserves run low ) . "motivating force" ... Crowley termed it 'Energised Enthusiasm' . Often it is needed to be invoked to 'get the job done' . It can be invoked and harnessed, as a driving force and tool, if one knows how . In Crowley's system it was a basic motivating force and power behind working the 'Magick'. It used to be called 'Strength ' but he preferred to term it 'Lust' for the specific source of it's motivations ; -
What does it mean to "Be True To Yourself"
Nungali replied to TheCLounge's topic in General Discussion
Know what a 'self' is first . Then, know what 'version' of a self you are. - 'Know Thyself ' means to know and understand what a human is, especially the basic model of the human psyche , then how your particular version fits in with and works that model. For me, after about 40 odd years of looking at various ones, I have chosen a basic 'Egypto - Kabbalistic - Zoroastrian - Thelemic ' schemata (with adaptions) using the language, symbols, images and explanations of astrology and Greco-Roman mythology. That's the basic self programme. Next is to discover your original essence or spirit (one's 'calling' , higher desires, natural propensities, dharma, True Will, etc .) The first (self) is your vehicle, the second (True Will ) your essence or purpose. By then, an idea of what 'yourself' is should begin to emerge. Then , this has to be incorporated internally and externally through a process of initiation, or more importantly, individuation ; where all this gets integrated ( and modified ) in a social context , that is, how 'you' work and fit in with , 'give to' your society and/or culture and how and what you get back from it . To be true to yourself means, once you have these realisations, to live and express them. Not to take a payoff (or for any other reason ) and limit or restrict the self, or go down a false path or expression of your True Self ( if you can find out what that is ) .
