I would be to ; 'Feed my will to feel this moment Urging me to cross the line Reaching out to embrace the random Reaching out to embrace whatever may come I would)embrace my desire to... Feel the rhythm To feel connected Enough to step aside and Weep like a widow To feel inspired To fathom the power To witness the beauty To bathe in the fountain To swing on the spiral To swing on the spiral Of our divinity and Still be a human With my feet upon the ground I would lose myself between the sounds And open wide to suck it in and feel it move across my skin I'd be reaching up and reaching out reaching for the random or Whatever will bewilder me And following my will and wind and just go where no one's been and ride the spiral to the end And go where no one's been ' (Apologies to Tool )

I had a bout of Ross River fever from Mozzies ....... W O W .... was that intense ! I recently found out that 90% of the little fish in the river here are imports from Sth America that were dumped in our river systems to control mosquitoes in 1925 ...... they bred to immense proportions, didnt control the mosquitoes and caused displacement of native fishes . Gambusia holbrooki - also known as plague minnow, gambusia and mosquito fish; One time, I was down the river, beside a huge ancient tree trunk lying along the bank, between it and the bank was protected pool, it had the most amazing fish in it, I thought someone must have emptied their tropical aquarium in there ! I never seen fish like that before in any fresh water here . After looking them up, I realised that these were the natives and all the others imports. before displacement, the rivers here would have been full with little guys like this ; ( bloody hell tried posting 6 different pics - all 'not allowed' ) https://www.google.com.au/search?q=NSW+freshwater+rainbow+fish&rlz=1C1CHBF_enAU699AU699&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjf5oy03b_QAhWBPY8KHcO5CoEQ_AUICCgB&biw=1093&bih=530&dpr=1.25

Krishnamurti, spirituality, egocentricity, and freedom from self
Nungali replied to roger's topic in General Discussion
I have found that, regardless of any level of realisation or awareness , we still hold ( each to their own level) a certain amount of 'emotive conditioning' . My take on this is, although we live in a modern world, the development of our minds and psychology have only been effected by that for a few hundred years , while previously, we had a different perception / understanding of things built up over 10s of 1000s of years . Most of this seems lodged in the unconscious. So regardless of conscious operating modes and levels, we can still utilize such dynamics .... even though we consciously comprehend and understand them . That is why, I think, such things as 'offerings' . 'worship' , singing devotion, leaving things out for 'the little people' etc . can work well for some , regardless of their 'outer' realisations and 'developments' . -

... and the "I can see it coming a mile away" .... another classic karlism . I have seen it many times, he just 'knows' how a conversation is going to turn out and 'preempts' it . problem is, he gets that wrong too, and when the conversation does not come to the conclusion he imagined , then he argues against it doing that ! As it is doing what (he thought ) it wasnt supposed to . And it is all 'logical, correct, unarguable, as he must be right ' .... -

Of course faith is a type of belief ... and karl is getting worse .... instead of what HE requires from people in argument or discussion, he now seems to think it is okay to respond to this statement that 'faith is a type of belief ' with ; " You aren't a dumb idiot are you Brian ? " Thats offensive . If anyone here does not deserve that comment it is Brian ! You are slipping Karl , and starting to use desperate tactics ( that are pretty transparent ) . -

Ahhh .... spontaneous acts ... another rather different and very interesting dynamic. I have been in discussion about that here before. Some 'questions of morals or help ' (in relation to the 'karmic cop-out theory' ) dont even need consideration , just automatic response . Someone falls down, you help them up. Automatic . yet some dont seem to get that either A lot depends on how personally involved one is in any situation . Starving kids overseas tend to fade into background consciousness .... even a hungry one at my door gets instant attention and 'devotion' . -

So, I will speak for myself . If I do something , 'altruistic' or not ... its because I want t do it and choose to do it , because it makes me feel good . Simple as that ! I am selfish . How else do I explain my lavish white westerner lifestyle otherwise, at the expense of all the others that enable it ? I remember some time back , talking to a Hare Krishna ; he gave me this 'selfless' rave, about he did everything for Krishna and how seeking pleasure was a no-no . I scoffed. He came back with ; up early pre -dawn , chanting, temple, duties, study, chanting, temple etc ... I asked him if he actually really deep down enjoyed doing that and if he really wanted to do it and if it gave him a good feeling and ... yes ... 'pleasure' . He thought on that , and admitted that it did . Was his motivation purely pleasure ? That's his business, I suppose . -

careful ..... I pointed out to Karl how he always had to change what I wrote so he could then criticise what I ... what he then wrote ... and he never spoke to me again . -

A lot of what Krishnamurti did and said was a reaction against the BS of the Theosophical Society that tried to mould him into something he wasnt and bring him forward to 'save the world' ... and their own agenda . he saw through it all and was honest enough to reveal the truth to the masses . I think the point is , many groups just dont have a balanced curriculum and allow these things to develop. In some groups, there seems to be no ethical training whatsoever. I have seen some really bad examples of this - being egocentric, MORE self-centered and self-absorbed. Some even dont know their own system . In one case, I seemed to know more than the group I was employed by, just because I read their introductory material so I could do the job well . As time went on, I realised no one else had read it . Yet many of them were 'up themselves', 'holier than thou' and felt they had a special insight or some such BS . They had a luncheon one day and had some other guests there . The self appointed ,would be, boss ( who was secretly trying to undermine the CEO with gossip and innuendo .... and he actually got the sack, they promoted her and then had to sack her due to mess she made ! ) pipes up at dinner .... in a silly affirmative voice ; "Steiner said the first thing the initiate encounters is the Guardian at the Threshold ." Another woman at the table ; " Goodness ! ... but how does one become an initiate ? " The first, hesitates, stumped , and now, dropping the 'spiritual teacher' accent has reverted back to her North Queensland Aussie drawl ..... " Ohhhh .... I dont know ... ? " Why bother studying and going through the grind when you can just 'pose' and sprout quotes ? Conversely , I have met a few gems , unpretentious, unassuming and a wealth of knowledge and a delight to meet , including some robed Buddhist monks and 2 lamas .... friendly, chatty, interested in my viewpoint as I was in theirs, able to hold up a sensible and logical debate / discussion, open to hear new viewpoints ... etc . You should be able to tell when you meet them , dont be fooled by external glitz and glam . -
Brain wait ! ..... You didnt tell me what sort of light was in the room . It is not impossible that when the covers were shaken the bag cover flipped up to the ceiling, without you seeing that and landed on the light shade, then later slid off on to the bed. Depending on what sort of light you have, that is .
-
What sort of light is in the room on the ceiling ? (At least there wasnt a kid present ... that of course, would have been wholly innocent of any trickery ) You dont have a dog do you ? But did the experience have other indicators of 'unusualness' .... I have had similar experiences myself , some seem isolated and dont have 'other unusualness ' about them, I have been able to figure it out ... or not . here is an example of 'other unusual ness' . I had a 'magical dagger' I often used in my daily pentagram ritual. I kept it in an old shoulder bag hanging on the back of the chair at my desk. One time ... gone ! looked everywhere and thought of every possibility - Nope. Never touched the bag after, left it there . A week later, go to use the bag and dagger is inside. Context ; GF flipped out and trashed the house , then ran away. Wrecked some of my stuff, I assumed she stole or hid the dagger , Later she said she did not . Okay, probably lied and slipped it back in there later ..... BUT ... here is the thing; When I came home to find the mess I had someone with me, we were both freaking out about what had been done and I ; "Oh - o ! My dagger ! .... gone ! " Friend goes; " She threw it through that window ! " But the window was still closed . I asked her , "Do you mean she opened the window , threw the dagger outside and then bothered to close the window again ?" 'No ... through the glass ." " But the glass isnt broken ! " "I know, I know .... but that is what I can see in my head ." ... Whatever. Later, when GF returned and I asked her about the dagger she said she never touched it . Then she goes , "I was going to .... I was going to throw it through that window there and smash the glass ... but I thought smashing windows was a bit much so I didnt do it . " Later the dagger turned up . Okay she may have had it all the time , but how the hell did the other one know about that ? So although it may not have been THAT mysterious about the dagger disappearing and reappearing, the 'through the window thing was curious' indeed . UNless women who are at odds with each other and want to tear each others eyes out are secretly in collaboration against me .... or all women are ... you need to keep your 'bedroom cam' going when you are not in the room
-
If it happened to me, I would think that not enough indicated a 'mystery' beyond a fairly simple reason . Shaking the bed spread and 'static electricity' and ...... post # 2 .... should give you a hint
-
Right . It so confused here ..... just forget it, is my advice. officially, used to be, if you are 1/8th Aboriginal, you Aboriginal. Yet, one time, old 'Uncle' ; "See Biily there, he's is whiter than you, but he has more Aboriginal blood than me, and I am blacker than him." Then they tell me I am Aboriginal ! And that it has nothing to do with color , its attitude mind and spirit . I like the most modern expression; ' .... Bunjalung descendant ..... Gamilaroy descendant ... etc . With some here, they get a little disappointed that they have no indigenous blood, so some of the indigenous will 'adopt' them. But there is this .... 'other element ' .... not sure what to do about them ? At least the indigenous now have Muslims and Asians to deflect and receive some of the prejudice away from them.

There are ? Those guys died long ago ! However, ' associates ' (of Parsons ) would have been into 'esoteric performance' . It was of a different type though than outlined above ( which to me seems more like 'shock art', if anyone remembers that ) , expressing esoteric themes via dramatic ritual for public performance. This is one of the oldest forms of the mysteries and represents part of the three tier system of teaching of 'mystery schools' ; 1st. the 'closed rites , initiations, secret societies / clans - the monks , the seriously devoted people that partake of the 'inner school' , 2nd , some type of liturgical expression, a public enactment in ritual of some level of the mysteries, the congregation and clergy , sacraments and rites of passage and 3rd the public rights festivities and celebrations, where the mysteries are enacted in public, usually based on mythological themes and 'festivities' and the general public can participate in different ways . The 'Parsons factor' had all three going, but the 3rd would have been the one most open to the public, in some places the tradition still operates, this is the source material for those rites ; http://hermetic.com/crowley/the-rites-of-eleusis/ Here is another book about Jack ; " . ROCKET SCIENTIST KILLED IN PASADENA EXPLOSION screamed the headline of the Los Angeles Times. John Parsons, a maverick rocketeer who helped transform the rocket from a derided sci-fi plotline into a reality, was at first mourned as a scientific prodigy. But reporters soon uncovered a more shocking story: Parsons had been a devotee of black magic . " http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/677288.Strange_Angel

Ummmmm ..... my whole point in posting those pics was to show ..... and I actually said .... that no one has a monopoly on a form. There is no definitive 'that is' . What's the point of that ? Do I now say " NO it isnt the Lady of the Lake ... that is the Virgin Mary ." " heals you first chakra " ?
