  1. Hello

Thanks for the response . I have a few posts around here relating to my views and research on it . There is the paper by Dr Wilson van Dusen - the evidence of spirits in madness ( Dr Van Dusen was head psychiatrist at a US state hospital ) where also he observed positive and negative 'matrices ' ( ' beings ' , or in his clinical language - hallucinations of good or bad order ) that seemed to comply with the hierarchies Swedenborg detailed ) . Some posts outlining my own work and going way back somewhere here .... some pictures of my temple set up . Some info on possible internal structures and arrangements and how that intersects with initiatory organisations structure as a model for a private one . And of course I have my own '' set of methods and approaches for observing destructive tendencies of the mind ... and what can be done to counterbalance it.'' Are you familiar with IFT ? https://psychology.org.au/for-members/publications/inpsych/2022/winter-2022/internal-family-systems-therapy What I am seeing here is an emergent understanding of the 'hierarchy of spirits' theory that is behind Goetia . An understanding on how it can be used to regulate and improve psychology and spirit and heal associated disruptions - first , within magical initiatory orders , then with what seemed a lone psychologist / psychiatrist ( Dr Van Dusen ) and now a whole psychological movement . Although I feel the IFT psychology is missing a few major points - that might be fuel for an interesting discussion . ( can you cite the author and/or their work you mentioned above ? )
  2. Yes-But-Mind vs. Don't-Know-Mind

No . I talk to myself but here I write for others to read . 'We' ? I am of no mind about it . I am in my way at this moment , I am in my place where I am ( and live here daily ) . I found it decades ago and before that I have been awake since 1965 . The way at this moment moves towards dinner time . I shall practice my cooking . ... and try to be single pointed conscious in doing it .

That sounded rather ......... ominous .

The beir or 'lion bed ' . What is the significance of the lion here ? [ I have one on my small back verandah / landing ; I had a statue of Anubis with hands extended over a mummy lying on a bier with a big lions head on one end . It got moved around ( after sitting on the table on my GFs side of the bed - she was working as a mortician then ) the mummy was a separate piece and ended up ??? The rest ended up outside near the bench I sit on to have my morning coffee fix . Out in the garden I saw a bush turkey come in and start digging up a new plant , I hoiked a stick at it , hit a tree, bounced off , got Anubis, knocked off an arm and one ear . So now this lion bier just sits there like a little table on the bench ]

  9. Yes-But-Mind vs. Don't-Know-Mind

'Existence' ... by itself - 'pure existence' ... is a state . When you are in that 'certain state ' , there is nothing else . When you are not in that state , you might link purpose to it . But even more so , pure existence , beyond and without 'you' has no purpose . It is something that 'is' which might be all we can say about it . And its not conceptualized by the mind ... which might be a challenge to one that is very 'mental' ... even to the extent they feel they can 'mentalise the cosmos ' so much that they refer to fellow humans as something 'other' than them in their own speaking mental perspective . An obvious example of what ? You just made your own 'if' postulation and then based a premise on your if and then gave an example of your premise . Which says nothing about nor counters the idea that Existence has no purpose . ..... and that too 'just happens ' ... without purpose . What you might be confused with is the resultant benefits we get from it . Some might say that is its purpose ... to benefit us .... to that, I say ......

Would you say the term 'fetish ' ( in anthropological sense ) would describe this ? A fetish is described as ; something to house a spirit or ancestor , something power like a charm or sacred object , something a special function ; protection, healing , etc . The Imy-wt is said to predate the 1st dynasty ? I wondering if it is one of those early 'throwbacks ' to some of the African traditions that entered the Nile Valley ( as the ank symbol might be ? ) ( the name fetish was given to the magical objects encountered in west Africa - Portugese > ' fetico ' > 'charm / magic ' . . . originally ' made for / as art ' . )
  13. The ultimate unpopular opinions

Someone who's cultivated is knowledgeable or at least familiar with the arts, current events, history. He or she probably has traveled widely, or at least has read about other people and places. In other words, a cultivated person is a citizen of the world.
  14. Egyptian body magic

I have seen them occasionally and wondered what they were ? I assumed a totem or ' standard ' of a Nome or God .

The 'object' 2nd from the right ( to the left of the far right figure ... a skin and ... ? ) looks interesting . Looks like a nome 'totem' ?

Shed light on any special place for you ? Thats up to you; walk around, explore, see what you are drawn to or it just might happen by itself ; you 'end up there' or are led there . To shed more light on this I would refer back to the things I mentioned and the links I made , read up on it and learn more about it . Of course you are not . I study anthropology ; of all peoples, in all places and over all time periods , this is a very common phenomena in that regard and constitutes a human reality , in context . this most recent 'scientific materialist ' outlook that denies such things is VERY recent , comparatively . I have had my own and similar expertness Its common . Look at the things I pointed you towards . No going back and be patient .
  18. Just think : God can lead you into temptation , you get tempted , you give in to the temptation and ...... well, commit a 'sin' , I suppose and then die and go to hell for an eternity ! Yikes ! But if you say your prayers and ask nicely , '' lead me not into temptation'' God will be all ..... '' Ohhhhh , okay then .'' and not lead you into temptation and you will go to heaven for eternity . Yay ! I guess its sorta like when you have a friend that is an ex-alcoholic and you keep offering them a drink , leaving booze bottles around , sneaking vodka into their drinking water .... stuff like that . .
  19. Hello

hello and welcome . I am interested in this bit , maybe ...... depending on what you mean by it ; '' ... inner Goetia as a path of psychological and spiritual refinement ... '' '' ...
  20. A venture into 'Neo - Hermetics' : Previously mentioned above , conversations with Brian . We ( a few daobums ) were discussing the 'mathematical formula of everything ' that had been posted . It was complex , I could not follow it , some here seemed able to . But I did recognize some symbols , constants , forces .... ' G ' stood out , one of the 'four fundamental forces of physics ' - gravity . G was on the left of the equal sign with other symbols and ideas and there were similar on the left , ie. 'after = , or ' the result is ' . I said G should not be on the left, it should be on the right ...'as a result of ' . Brian said 'Interesting ' . What I meant by that is , it should conform ( or confirm ) my 3 ; 4 theory ie. three fundamental 'things' ( 'forces' , ingredients , etc ) in an 'ideal dimension' ( not 'real ' , or at least observable or obvious ) produce a 4th effect in a 'real' dimension . I go through it in detail in my PP in an article on numbers . This overall pattern is attested in many traditions, including on The Tree of Life and Ch 42 TTC . ( see my article for further examples ) . This suggests that the four fundamental forces didnt just .... 'be' , all at once , or were implied , but that 1,2 and 3 'engendered' all things . So with the 4 fundamental forces : the weak and strong force within the atom ( let's say , 'in the microcosm' ) , the electro-magnetic forces ( now having more observable effect in our world ... the 'middlecosm ' ? ) producing the fourth fundamental force , gravity . And I previously mentioned I thought that is why the Unifeld Field theory could not be developed , they cant 'fit gravity into it ' . I postulated that is because it is a result or product of the other three .... not the idea of the first four forces just being there together . As one hopes with 'Neo- Hermetics ' some agreement between 'ancient sciences' and 'modern science' might be found ... and it is , so many times if one looks at things the right way . In this regard , one of the new theories about gravity is interesting , it says it is an emanation from forces in the microcosm ! I would say the forces that bind atoms together are in the microcosm . And the effect is in the macrocosm ... gravity's effect certainly is . '' A fresh look at gravity challenges long-held assumptions about one of nature’s most familiar yet puzzling forces. In a new study, two researchers argue that gravitational attraction is not a basic force at all, but an effect that emerges from deeper quantum processes tied to electromagnetism. If confirmed, the theory could help explain mysteries that have long resisted standard models — including the origins of dark matter and the energy accelerating the universe’s expansion. ...The work, published in Journal of Physics Communications, reimagines gravity not as a force stitched into the fabric of spacetime, but as something that arises from the quantum-level behavior of ordinary matter. * ... The idea builds on earlier efforts to rethink gravity as an emergent phenomenon — an effect that arises from more basic physical processes, rather than a force on its own ...'' https://www.advancedsciencenews.com/new-theory-suggests-gravity-is-not-a-fundamental-force/ . * and that occurs in those sub atomic forces . .

  24. Yes-But-Mind vs. Don't-Know-Mind

Certainly ..... a blow to the head can do it ! There are many examples of that . Acquired savant syndrome is a rare condition where an individual develops extraordinary new talents, such as those in music, art, or mathematics, after a brain injury, stroke, or other central nervous system event. This condition is distinct from congenital savant syndrome because it appears in previously neurotypical individuals who had no prior ability in the newfound area. It is believed to result from the right hemisphere of the brain compensating for damage to the left hemisphere https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Savant_syndrome#Acquired_cases ' Amen' to that
