Connecting the opposites... What could that mean?
Nungali replied to centertime's topic in General Discussion
Then I see it the synthesis from the 3 forces making a new unity of them all. There is the two opposite forces the 'reconciliation' making the triangle ( with the third being the synthesis - or 'Saturn') , from the union of the three a new one is born ... this is the spark or seed (of the synthesis) that has the potential to cross the abyss (from the 'ideal world' ) towards the 'real' . Or diagrammatically , the triangle creates a point in the middle that can be extended 'up' making a tetrahedron ( or in 2D .... the spark breaks down through the abyss , out of the 'ideal' world. ) But before this 'second duality' manifests .... This sums it up nicely ; http://static1.squarespace.com/static/52d8500be4b08b61cb1a6def/t/5501c9eee4b0d74448adfbbb/1426180604656/ The Supernal Triad. I suppose then, the new synthesis, born in the psyche moves towards manifesting, (as it moves 'down' through the 'planetary spheres' ) eventually in the physical; effecting changes in one's life -

.. and punctuation. I was quoting a friend ... I was pointing out I said " A friend said " ... followed by ; (this) and this " .... My friend said this - quote ... She accused her boyfriend .... She has a boyfriend and she accused her son ... I do not have a boyfriend . Friend told me last night; "You remember last year when I lost that $300 in 50s off the table and I accused my BFs son of nicking it ... and it started a big fight ? Well yesterday the builder was doing some rewiring , pulled off some wall boards and found a rats nest with 5 $50s in it ... we looked around and found the other one ... all in good condition. " - Good Lord ... now even people I am on friendly terms with cannot understand what I wrote in simple language and standard punctuation ! No offense Aussie ... but there has been a lot of that around lately is it me ??? ... even I know what that means even within the misinterpretation. maybe I need more coffee . -

Aha! Yes... a few words got 're -interpreted' after WWII defeat in Aikido ... new meanings arose like 'peace' and 'love' for terms that used not to mean that all ! Both hands ... both feet .. changing male/female , yin/yang, IMO . The 'martial magician' should be well able to do that ... especially an essentially Shinto martial magician . Are we always stuck with the proclivities of the 'natural archetype ' ? -

Where did that quote come from ? I think a lot of the above concept comes from what Ueshiba picked up and jelled together, all with a strong background considering sword usage. Many of the techniques he taught, for their full comprehension, one must consider that a sword is being held , being drawn, about to be drawn or worn in a position to be drawn. The sword is only worn on one side and there were no left handed swordsmen . All techniques relate to these facts. (This is often a hard concept for westerners ; "I am left handed ... and I prefer to use left hand leading ! " "Oh ??? Show me ." (he does so ..... lopp ! ) " Like I said ... there are no left handed swordsmen. " Regardless of empty hand techniques being either side or simultaneous * . or other weapons ... like Jo. Even Ueshiba's first studenbts found him old school, archaic and most of theme not understandable , he even used an older form of formal archaic Japanese language that many of them could not understand. They were not used to being attacked physically by kamie http://io9.com/14-terrifying-japanese-monsters-myths-and-spirits-1498740680 Especially ones that were part of your split personality and would sword fight you in your garden at night * and a big influence from ' way of daito ' -

So they tell me ... fingers crossed ( but a 12 to 10 month waiting list ... and I cant take painkillers ... which isnt too bad, it forces me to deal with it meditatively ) It wasnt that long ago that I could get thrown across the mat, dive through the air, roll and come up fighting. Take care of your physicals man! -
What is triggered when we see a wild animal and all hair stay on end?
Nungali replied to 4bsolute's topic in General Discussion
its a fight response, the skin 'shrinks' or goes goose flesh causing the hair to stand up, this will make a hairy animal look bigger but also add some protection against clawing and biting. But not for us . Its another demo that, now matter how modern we seem, we are the product of 10s of 1000s of years of conditioning and development. It is a reaction .... it might be better to train so one responds instead. 'concentrating' on the the hara, centering consciousness there ... helps to stabilize such reactions. I used to get a shaky right foot in competition - damn annoying ! (Except sometimes it would cause my opponent to to look at that and be distracted ... then wham them with something else ) -

I am jealous . I used to be able to do lotus, and then lie on my stomach with the top of my pelvis bones touching the floor, and be relaxed like that. Now ... a few years later ... waiting for a hip replacement .... cant even cut my toenails properly. Beware of motorcycle crashes !
