I found an instructor here that is direct 5 generations descendant from Bushi Matsamura ! And was taught by Kosei Nishihira https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nishihira_Kosei then an Aikido teachers started up a club , same style I had done before, so then I was doing akido,, Shorin ryu and kobudo with 6 weapons. and weirdly, Mr Sugano , the Australian director of Aki kai , his family used to live here. I got some sword training off his son once ( showed me invaluable stuff he did! ) , after talking, he "Oh, I used to live 7km for you and went to school here . " ! There used to be world music festival here every year, and our community used to do the same, we have a large river flat area with a stage with 3 phase power. I saw my fav youth band once at the local bush hall ( on undercover tour from Europe ) and also 3 visits from Sanguma - a band from New Guinea ( tribal guys with bones through their noses dressed as Rastafarians paying log drums, electric guitars and electronic organ and synth ) Cant supply the nostalgia though ... and, although many seem to be trying , certainly cant supply hipsters like Sydney can - especially Bondi !

' Dance in the moment. Reach down and pull up song. Spin and chant and forget the sorrow that we are flesh on bone. I return to the rhythm of water, to the dark song I was in my mother's belly. We were gods then and we knew it. We are gods now dancing in whirling darkness, spitting flame like stars in the night.' Normandy Ellis , from 'Awakening Osiris'.

Many types of early agriculture has not been found or the remains survived as well as their other cultural artefacts. Further evidence found of this type may help to explain the 'unusual' finds in other places ; "How on earth did they build this *, it was ages 'before agriculture' ? " Nah! 'Ages before known agriculture. ' * Gobekli tepe ... and a complex I have recently been looking into at Orkney ( pre dates Stonehenge and the Great Pyramid ) - The 'Ring of Brodgar' in the middle of a lake, surrounded by a greater ring of mountains, joined by two land bridges with sites the south extending and following a line of sites to Stonehenge ( this is like the 'mystical secret centre of .... ? whoever they were ... 'Avalon' ) Location location ! They also found remains of hundreds ( cant remember the number , but it was large) of cattle, all slaughtered at the one time for one feast there . Skara Brae ... still got the wardrobes and cupboards ! .... I was talking about this early agriculture recently.

Oh great ... so now the ice freaks can just have a catheter connected to a tube that goes up the nose and into the stomach and stay permanently crazy It does make a statement about the city ... people take heaps of anti depressants and painkillers. It makes a statement about modern life. You know we live in one of the best countries in the world ... no, I am not just being patriotic or suffering pride . Get this folks ( from other countries) Aside from the good weather and relative freedom .... when I dont work, the government pays me ... quiet well. Get sick, they pay for the doctor and most of any prescribed medication (there is a hint to one of the reasons for excessive drug use ), or go to the local hospital for treatment, or as an inpatient or operation ... paid for. One friend visiting from the USA was happy, as after 10 years service he now got 3 weeks annual leave and was able to come to Oz now for 1 of those weeks. At that time I was getting 6 weeks holidays a year with 10 paid sickdays in the first year of employment .... and so on. Where I live has pristine environment, good services, virtually no poverty, river, forest, beaches, recreation, outdoor lifestyle water skiing skin diving, white water rafting ... blah blah ... Who, in other countries would like all that handed on a plate to you and live here The local chemists in this area have the highest distribution of anti-depressants per population of any area in the state. Sort of make one think what's going on ? ... and the rent / house prices and .... and .... ~ See how spoilt I have become !

I dont know. Its the name of a place .... Yulladahra is a type of 'dreaming' ... the psychoactive effect of the patterns laid down in the creation of landscape that still radiate from a location. Did you see the link up there ? ... did you meet the old man ? He looks right at my home. Now he has become somewhat of a tourist attraction. http://www.nationalparks.nsw.gov.au/things-to-do/Lookouts/Skywalk-lookout ( Sits down against a tree .... nod ... nod ..... zzzzzzzzzzzzz What! ... Huh ! ? <looks around > .... O - Ohh ! Bugglebear ! (Thankyou ) Many spiritual languages have been forgotten for good. Its too late now. If you find the right place ... you will be able to enter ... slip into a crack ... in ya go cuz .... down there ! ... you get in there ... we will wait up here for you ...

Not to mention the books his own society didnt want published From Wiki : " Biographers and critics have disagreed in the past as to whether these years in Jung's life should be seen as, "a creative illness, a period of introspection, a psychotic break, or simply madness." Anthony Storr, reflecting on Jung's own judgment that he was "menaced by a psychosis" during this time, concluded that the period represented a psychotic episode. According to Sonu Shamdasani, Storr's opinion is untenable in light of currently available documentation. During the years Jung engaged with his "nocturnal work" on Liber Novus, he continued to function in his daytime activities without any evident impairment He maintained a busy professional practice, seeing on average five patients a day. He lectured, wrote, and remained active in professional associations. Throughout this period he also serviced as an officer in the Swiss army and was on active duty over several extended periods between 1914 and 1918, the years of World War I in which Jung was composing Liber Novus. Jung was not "psychotic" by any accepted clinical criteria during the period he created Liber Novus. Nonetheless, what he was doing during these years defies facile categorization. Jung referred to his imaginative or visionary venture during these years as "my most difficult experiment." This experiment involved a voluntary confrontation with the unconscious through willful engagement of what Jung later termed "mythopoetic imagination". In his introduction to Liber Novus, Shamdasani explains: "From December 1913 onward, he carried on in the same procedure: deliberately evoking a fantasy in a waking state, and then entering into it as into a drama. These fantasies may be understood as a type of dramatized thinking in pictorial form.... In retrospect, he recalled that his scientific question was to see what took place when he switched off consciousness. The example of dreams indicated the existence of background activity, and he wanted to give this a possibility of emerging, just as one does when taking mescaline." Jung initially recorded his "visions", or "fantasies, or "imaginations" — all terms used by Jung to describe his activity — in a series of six journals now known collectively as the " [ now it gets juicy ] " "Black Books".This journal record begins on 12 November 1913, and continues with intensity through the summer of 1914; subsequent entries were added up through at least the 1930s..Biographer Barbara Hannah, who was close to Jung throughout the last three decades of his life, compared Jung's imaginative experiences recounted in his journals to the encounter of Menelaus with Proteus in the Odyssey. Jung, she said, "made it a rule never to let a figure or figures that he encountered leave until they had told him why they had appeared to him. ~ These are the writings that most consider define him as psychotic himself. The same people would probably define a shaman the same way .

Karl; You might have got a better response if you actually said why you find Jung psychotic and a rambling manic-depressive, instead of saying that you read some of his writings a long time ago and cant remember exactly why you thought this. the conclusion I came to is that his experiences and his analysis of his experiences are quiet common and well documented by many individuals, in diverse cultures across time and locations. Certain modern 'western' mind sets are quiet removed from these processes and seem out of the field of comprehension for many and are kept in a 'Pandora's Box' ... and not talked about 'in polite company' or outright denied. This leads to bigger problems. One cultures 'spirit guide' or 'daemon' is another's crackpot psychotic (and I would say there is more chance of them becoming a crackpot psychotic in a culture that denies and does not understand such experience ... it is part of the overall human experience ... raging against it doesn't make it go away or invalidate those experiences.

BBQ apron anyone ?

One would hope not. It seems to be more like a practice that consists that the person makes model of the future, and then this model already without its direct participation is realized in a reality.
