How can you know if you have entities problems especially if you don't have experience ?

Hi , I have been working on some practices in the past and was effected on a level by spiritual teachings. This happened privately through books and videos which I 'm not sure if it was such a good idea, after all problems and hard times arose . Right know I don't work on anything but it would nice to be talking to people with some experience.
