What Exactly Is A Kundalini Experience?
Prince... replied to DalTheJigsaw123's topic in General Discussion
Last summer I had just finished meditating and was getting into bed when I felt an intense heat go from my chest up my neck to my brain. My entire brain felt like it was on fire, but not in a painful way. I had this intense feeling of gratitude to the point that it brought tears to my eyes. I just kept saying,"Thank you, thank you" over and over to myself. It has taken me awhile to share this experience with anyone. I did not even tell Tao until after completing my KAP1 course...well, if he hasn't read my journal, then he may not know, yet. For the next few weeks, I felt like I had become more sensitive. Unfortunately I was visiting my mother in Atlanta and she kept taking me to the malls. Everytime people came within a certain distance of me, I felt them touching me, even though we had never made physical contact. If someone was standing in the same room as me, I felt them without knowing where they were. Even in Tai Chi classes, I could feel my partner's intent during pushing hands. The experience left me feeling a little bit crazy. I guess I was not quite ready to experienced any kind of heightened awareness or possible siddhis. What my experience did do was increase my faith in God to the point that I returned to my church and began my path in seeking to become an ordained minister. I still meditate, I still try to read the Tao Te Ching and the few commentaries I own on Buddhist Sutras. I still read the Tai Chi Classics and practice my Tai Chi. Why? Well, the world isn't painted red in the blood of Christ! There are Taoists, Buddhists, Muslims, Jews, and other people who I still want to connect with on some level. My particular experience came after I finished meditating. For me, it was the grace of God that allowed me to have that experience--not anything I did. Someone else may have different results or opinions--that's okay with me. I'm not saying any of this to convince anyone reading to go out and join the church--this is just my own experience and I feel if I ever reach the point of having a fully awakened Kundalini that the people who need the most help from me are people in the church...so that's why I'm here at Seminary learning the Bible, how to preach, and ways to put a worship service together... and the bread and grape juice isn't bad either. -

I'm confused by what an awakened K is? I recall the thread where some people on TB were calling out the KAP crowd. I know I can meditate much longer now than before KAP. I sat behind the chapel here on campus on Friday afternoon in the Memorial Garden and if the trees hadn't shifted so I got a blast of sunlight in my face, I think I might still be sitting in that same spot. I got really still really quick using the zero point breathing Susan taught us. *tee hee* Susan didn't like when I asked if that was a quick way to go into samadhi... Tao taught me that word *runs* Anyway, I know there are a lot of things going on with me that I didn't have prior to KAP. This buzzing down in my junk and sometimes in my tummy wasn't there before...I could always feel heat in my hands doing Tai Chi, but I can see veins pulsing in my palms sometimes now. I breathe a lot slower than most of the folks around me. So I dunno what an awakened K means... SB, did you mean fully awakened? hahaha...I'm far from there, but I just graduated KAP 1 the week of the 27th and I can already notice some differences. I wish I could do that thing with the pet from Damo's cave...whatever the PSD folks were doing. I have the most awesomest pet ever...everyone is gonna know what my favorite cartoon was when I was little. Oh yeah, I'm glad you felt some juice the other day! Are you still feeling down in the dumps? I've been very tired since the shaktipat. I've only wanted to walk alot and I have been craving fruit and ice tea. -

Tao's "little Shaktipat" that he gave us at 5, I think he said he was using the Fire mudra? I just feel juice--earth, water, fire, air-- I'm not sensitive enough to tell the difference. I just feel something and I get hot. Whatever Tao did, he opened up my feet. I had not really been feeling anything in my legs and feet before yesterday. Some of the stuff Tao asked us to do, I had trouble with--just cause I did not really understand it. If I focus on my crown too much I will end up with a headache, so the chakra above my crown thing, I tried my best. With Santi, when he was actually talking during the review, I was good. When he cut the audio, I had trouble because I'm not used to practicing with my eyes open or trying to read at the same time. I felt a lot of warmth, like a lot. The stuff Susan showed us really relaxed me so much that I did not want to type anything--I just wanted to sit there. At some point, probably around midnight, I was being wrapped in a warm blanket and there was intense heat in the knee that I hurt most recently. I dozed off to a dreamless sleep around 12:30, so I missed the sex talk even though my skype was still up and running. SereneBlue, I havent practiced my KAP today either, but I've been listening to Mercan Dede on and off all day and I practiced some Tai Chi early this morning. I walked behind the chapel here on campus to the garden behind the chapel and just sat on a park bench. I was so relaxed that I slipped into about a 12 minute meditation with just deep breathing. Maybe you should just detox or something and just sit and meditate...or you can try the shaking tree thing? Anyway, I'm sorry that you're in a funk right now I hope you feel better soon. Prince... -

Well everyone describes PSD as KAP 2.5 and I'm just trying to digest everything from KAP1 still. The Qigong came easy to me since I did Tai Chi, Tao had no problem explaining stuff to me...and I kinda knew "okay, yeah, I feel something here, yeah, I get this." The K stuff is giving me problems because I don't know if I'm "doing it right" that sort of thing. I'm noticing things opening up in the Smile and 5pb, but I feel like I'm doing Qigong. I guess it's good that I feel anything at all and maybe I'm just overthinking stuff. Either way, it's fun. I want to get on a regular routine, though. Tai chi in the mornings is very relaxing, but I find that I get bored and a little agitated sitting in class once I can feel my Chi moving early in the morning. I'm going to try to hit the weight room at lunch because I'm always going to have free time from noon until about 2 and most people probably take naps. Tai Chi meets Tuesday and Thursdays at 6, so that gives me Mondays and Wednesday afternoons to do some real studying. My tutor suggested I take 10 minute power naps after every 40 minutes of studying. I'm not big on "power naps" and was wondering if it's possible to take 10 minute trips to Tamo's Cave instead? I guess I'd better practice-- haha, I always fall asleep as soon as I get inside the cave. -

Last night was awesome. I felt a bit uhh...inadequate? when the KAP2 and especially the PSD students were playing. I think someone put me to sleep,though...I felt like I was wrapped completely in a warm blanket and I went to sleep in my chair... I hurt both my knees playing basketball and I've been trying to send some juice to both of them, but I felt a really intense burning heat in the right one...much stronger than what I've been doing on my own. It was really awesome. Thanks for whoever did that, but can you do the other one now? *tee hee* I like hanging out with all you crazy KAP folks...I will remember you all everytime I tell a fart joke. (I just realized that "crazy KAP folks" includes me too, now) SWEET! Oh Santi, the music you had us listen to is awesome. I downloaded 2 of their CDs this morning on my Zune pass. This one particuliar song playing right now "Mercanistan" is making something vibrate in my uhh...actually it's making my penis vibrate. Gemma Arnaiz 2008 doble velo Mercanistan de Mercan Dede Fez2XVwVgCI OH MY GOD THAT GIRL IN THE VIDEO IS HOT! -

Thanks Santi! Tao told me how to "tune" in, but I wasn't sure if you were gonna be on skype at the same time. -

How do you get in on these calls? I guess I'll leave my skype open and make sure I'm here around 11. (I'm on EST) -
YES! I feel your pain. I moved from San Diego back to Tennessee and mosquitos ate me alive. I'm in Louisville now and the mosquitos wait until we start doing push hands to begin to bite. We have to take regular breaks to apply bug repellent, but it doesn't seem to work. Smoke seems to be the best repellent. Anyway, I would say try outdoors when it is pleasant and then go indoors. I think your state of mind is the most important. If you're out there pissed because that humid smell before it rains in the south is bothering you, or mosquitos and chiggers are eating you that you're probably not going to get the most out of your practice. I don't know how your schedule is, but right now it is really pleasant outside. If you have time from about 6:00- 9:00 am it is usually pretty nice outside and the bugs are still sleeping....well, the ones that bite. Oh yeah, I want to move back out west after I finish school, too. I'm thinking about the Bay, Southern Cal, or Seattle.

Yeah, I hardly check TB anymore. You're probably back from your trip now...or wait, you said next week--meaning you are probably there right now. Po Lin Temple was pretty cool. I enjoyed my trip there--my first time visiting a Buddhist monastery...uhm, I was a sailor when I went which meant most of my 2 times in Hong Kong involved shopping for bootleg electronics, sampling as much food as possible, and/or spending way too much time in Wanchai district... haha...with that in mind, if you like girls, try some of the "upstairs" clubs in Wanchai district. They are mostly all girly bars which means all the girls will ask you to buy them drinks after they dance with you for a few songs. I got lucky and managed to meet a few girls that were looking for boyfriends and actually did not work for the bar or were prostitutes...and well, if you go to the clubs downstairs...well, they are girlie bars, too...but the girls do a little something extra.

Santi got me interested in KAP, Tao is teaching me KAP. I'm glad I am getting to know both of them.
-
Hey Santi, take as much time as you need, bro. I haven't sent you a PM in awhile with any questions cause I've been bugging Tao. When I finish KAP1, I'll be back to bug you some more, though! I hope to do a KAP1 review with you sometime in the future...

I'm gonna remember this for my secret smile.... **still laughing** Oh man...that's the best laugh I've had all day.

hmmm...my KAP1 class is Thursday mornings. How do you get into the KAP1 Review? I guess I should wait until I've completed KAP1, but just for future reference, I guess?
-
When you graduate is there a group on Facebook to talk to other people that have taken the course with Santi & Tao? Like I'd like to talk to other KAP grads...that's mostly why I still come on TB, to read you guys' KAP journals and to read Santi's posts.

Long Distance KUNDALINI KAP Training through Skype
Prince... replied to Vajrasattva's topic in General Discussion
Is Thursday's session on Skype only for KAP1 graduates? I really want to do a session with you, Santi. If it is...oh well...I guess I will just have to look forward to playing with you guys in the Fall when I've completed KAP1 with Tao. Oh yeah, I'm having a hard time with Earth, Fire & Water...if anyone wants to give me some tips, feel free to PM me! Gonna have some breakfast and go for a Warrior Walk now. -
Hey Nate, Sometimes it's best just to take the plunge. I start my first year of Seminary in August and I am taking KAP1 with Tao right now. I read on a website about Christians arousing Kundalini energy that for some people it affected their ability to concentrate. One person was even in my same situation--a Seminary student. He said everytime he went near a church or read scriptures that it aroused the energy. I was worried about what that person experienced, but (I know very little about this stuff) I assumed he was not well grounded. Either way, I think Santi and Tao are great teachers who can put you in touch with other "KAP folks" to help, give support, and advice. So that's how I'm reassuring myself, at least! Hope this helps!

zZWULV5u2ac Sorry if this has been posted before...I thought it was kinda cool...especially after Jim came and necroposted the 30 page Mo Pai debate thread.

Yeah, I got in an argument with someone last summer over this...first he claimed that it's not possible for the body to store an electric charge...and after some research said "well, it's not possible to project any charge that is stored." I said well, I guess that is not what's happening at all when electrician's get bored and discharge capacitors and then use the residual electricity to illuminate a fluorescent light bulbs. I'd like to show him this video, but I'm sure he'd say the same thing that he said about John Chang setting paper on fire...that it was staged with magnesium. I don't really talk to that guy anymore as it is. I've noticed that I'm calmer now that I've stopped paying attention to people that feel the need to argue about everything under the sun.

Wow, you popped up out of the woodworks. How have you been, Jim?

DUAL SHAKTIPAT TRANSMISSION KUNDALINI MEDITATION THURSDAY NIGHT 11 - 11:30pm with Susan Carlson & Santiago Dobles TUNE IN for a good ZAP! : )
Prince... replied to Vajrasattva's topic in General Discussion
Thanks for doing this last night, Santi, and tell Susan I said thank you as well. I was not knowing what to expect or if I would even notice anything. I wasn't even sure if I was "doing it right." I think there is a Susan Coleman somewhere who's etheric body is telling me "you dialed the wrong number, don't call again!" But it's okay, cause I know Santiago Dobles. I curled up with my copy of Pathnotes and fell asleep on the part where Doc was talking about shiatsu massages and a certain Suzanne Carlson. I had a very vivid dream about a street hustler who appeared in a dream I had last week. I thought he was a despicable person until I noticed old baby clothes in his blankets that he was folding. I flashed back to a previous dream where he mentioned something about having a family. I realized he'd lost his family and took to the streets. Kind of made me feel guilty for thinking poorly of him at first. -
Dude, that really sucks...I had this same problem, but I found out that I was lactose intolerant when I was 3. I hate to say it, but if you plan to go anywhere, I would avoid dairy products completely. There are other sources to get those same vitamins and nutrients that you are missing from milk. Unfortunately, you may really enjoy a lot of dairy products. Like I said, I was 3, so I grew up knowing that certain things are gonna set me off. Are you just now finding out that you are lactose intolerant? You can try eating yogurt, that's what my mom did with me. It still gives me gas, but not a sick case of the squirts like I get from drinking too much milk. You can still have ice cream and your favorite cereals, but you have to eat something solid with them, you know? Every now and then I will go to work on an entire box of Lucky Charms, but I know that I better not go far from the bathroom for a day or two. Welcome to the Lactose Intolerant club...it has its perks-- like if you have to chaperone a trip of teenage boys who insist on wrestling all night in your hotel room, you can just gas them into submission... literally... (haha, the hosts treated us to dairy queen that night).

This may cause it to swell more, but I remember reading that you should soak your bum in hot water (or just take a hot bath) to increase the blood flow. I'm not sure if that will cause it to swell more, though. Also witch hazel is supposed to help shrink it, but if you have a possible infection, that might not feel too great! I don't think you should lance it on your own, unless you have sterile equipment on hand.

Cool article. Jim seems like a nice guy, and your comments are funny, Chris. I had no idea you ran that website and you don't remember me, but thanks for removing a comment that I made on one of your Mo-Pai articles. I had a friend get really upset with me over giving out some information that he shared with me.
