IMO transmissions can be beneficial, but I don't see why they would be absolutely necessary. That just seems like an expression of elitism or a way of seeking control and prestige, I've never seen any objective evidence for it.

Reminds me of the Qabbalistic Cross/Middle Pillar from the Golden Dawn and similar western practices, with the globe of white light above the head, streaming energy down along the center of the body.

So what exactly is going on in these videos? is there some reason why they can project their energy at their students but not an earnest attacker, or is it just a case of delusion/placebo/hypnosis type effect where the students fall away because they expect to? I read the other day that it was a question of the type of energy cultivated - that most 'qi' exists on a frequency too high to have that kind of drastic effect unless it's on a student who, through bonding with the teacher and opening their aura, has become 'attuned' to them? Thoughts? I know video evidence is pretty iffy at the best of times, but are there any examples out there of footage of energy techniques being used in earnest successfully?

But a quick look at the Flying Phoenix thread would demonstrate that his equations are flawed Oh well, at least Rumpelstiltskin is awesome. I really need to watch the new season of that show.

Any advice? They aren't fully blocked, but enough so that I can't breath without an annoying loud whistling sound, which makes it impossible to concentrate. Help!

I'm not laughing at the existence of spirits, only at the concept that they're responsible for all of the effects of qi gong and similar energy practices, which is what that website is claiming, that qi gong etc. don't work through natural energies, but through malicious spirits.

I've read warnings about drawing too much energy up out of the earth, I can't remember the specifics of what was supposed to happen though. Rofl, this is hilarious. Apparently chi is really just demons being invited into the body. Welp, that's it guys, time to renounce these evil eastern practices and accept Jesus Christ as your lord and savior! Only Jesus can expel the Chi-Demons from your body!

I think it's more an issue of guys who never had a chance in the first place thinking that friendship is a route to sexy times, either they made a move and got rejected, or they could never screw up the courage, so they settled for friendship thinking that if they hang out with her long enough she'll come to realize that he's actually really awesome and want to hook up with him after all. Of course it isn't just guys, I've seen the same thing happen with girls pining after men who are already dating someone else, although not as frequently. I certainly don't think it's generally an intentional, spiteful thing, although like any kind of power over a person, it can be abused. It's still a sad situation for all involved. Moral of the story: communicate more, be up front about your intentions with a person and don't allow fear of rejection to prevent you from doing so.

Yeah it's more of a subconscious thing I think. Or maybe your friends are just well balanced individuals

You don't physically avoid them, you just don't give them any attention or approval, this makes her* wonder what it is about her that makes you not pay attention to her like most men do and feel bad about herself, so she goes out of her way to attract your attention and approval just to prove to herself that she can do it. The flip side is that as soon as you actually reciprocate that attention, she gets what she wanted and loses interest, because it was never about you, only about her making herself feel good by proving that she could make you like/want her. *Obviously this doesn't apply to all women, only those who are already fairly insecure.

The problem with that method is that women who flock to you when you avoid them are the first ones to bail when you actually reciprocate any attention. It isn't you they want, just the validation of knowing they could attract someone who previously rejected them.

Wouldn't it depend on what you're trying to achieve? ie: filling and compressing qi in the dantien to lower vibratory rate and produce jing, which can be utilized for martial purposes, v. allowing it to fill up naturally and then ascend towards the middle and upper dantien for spiritual purposes? Or have I totally missed the mark here? I was reading the Damo Mitchell book yesterday and he seemed to be describing something similar to the latter, where he was wanting to convert jing into qi, but I would swear I've read other methods which do the opposite (or at least maximize jing production for it's own sake without converting to qi).

Now are you going to tell us how the pineal gland is responsible for all spiritual phenomenon and how every old image or fresco or temple painting actually depicts the pineal gland and how we have to stop drinking fluoride or we'll become mindless zombies?

Good stuff. But it's worth pointing out that there's a difference between a genuine black magician (who are few and far between, for the reasons already discussed) and those who go around using labels like LHP and so forth to refer to themselves, but who really just take RHP philosophy and repackage it with leather and eyeliner. it never ceases to amuse me how many 'satanic' groups there are who effectively just practice RHP spirituality with the labels swapped around. For the majority of 'LHP' practitioners, the difference is more or less a semantic one, though you'll never get them to admit it.
