  1. Zhan Zhuang Master(s) in Taiwan

For sure..... There are different styles though. They typically build "kidney energy" and condition the body allowing it to "self-heal", especially when you enter meditative stillness / emptiness. Usually you'll start moving, shaking when that happens although it might plateau for sometime or never come back, but it's still happening. Your meridians are opening, blockages are clearing. That and a zillion other benefits.
  2. Zhan Zhuang Master(s) in Taiwan

Thanks, he is. About Zhang Zuang being generic, I am referring to only one form here. The "hugging the ball" or "embracing the tree" or whatever other hippie / eco-friendly term you want to use... or if you go the Chinese route, "standing like a post" or "posting" for short which sounds less interesting / sexy haha.
  3. Just my 2 cents on this. As much as I respect Tao Semko and value his referrals, I was really put-off by this "master's" ebook bio. The guy boasts that he learned from a ridiculous number of enlightened masters, I believe it was 30, and that he read over 600 books on Tantra. These two comments in particular didn't sound serious to me. Reading 600 books doesn't make you a subject matter expert on anything, it just means you read 600 books. And over a dozen enlightened masters in this lifetime ? Really ? 30 ? Anyways, I stopped taking the content seriously after that, and skimmed through it. If this guy is really legit, I would prefer a better crafted bio because this really put me off.
  4. Hey Guys, First post on this forum, nice to meet you all. From my understanding, Dan-Tian converts our Jing to Qi and this process happens naturally. My question is about why we focus on it. What does it add to the picture, since this qi-conversion process already happens naturally? My Best, Sebastian PS: Edited this to read better.
  5. Hey All, Second post here. I was wondering if the following is exact. 1) Our Jing = Pre-natal Jing (fixed) + Post-natal Jing (cumulative) 2) At the lower Dan-Tian, both our Pre and Post Natal Jing are converted to Qi ? If so, I'm interested into how this relates to the cultivation recommendation of abstinence. They say not to deplete your Jing, which would be Pre-Natal in this case.... but if we engage in moderate sexual activity, don't we have enough Post Natal Jing to back it up ? In other words, Is it right to think that the risk is only if we're really tired, or didn't eat or sleep for a while and then engage in excessive activity that will start to tap into the Pre-Natal Qi ? If so, I would see the value of sexual restraint, but not complete abstinence. That is unless you are sublimating it somehow and this is a conscious choice of the practitioner. Thanks, Seb
  6. Why Do We Focus On Dan Tian ?

Thanks guys, So the concencus appears to be that it's strengthening the energy center of the body by speeding up this jing to qi conversion process. Isn't this at the expense of our Jing capital, doesn't it deplete more rapidly as a result ? like we're revving the engine harder and eating up more fuel as a result?
