Called "Christianity", sorry for not slagging it off and constantly speaking about completely different religions (that was sarcasm but I dont go ther too often, must be because I like you).. I genuinely am thankful for everything though , including the glib comments, oh boy. Gratitude basically constitutes for prayer, it makes up half of my prayer life... Perhaps you heard of Examen, its a good practice on its own... Hello again by the way, nice to hear from you. that is genuine as well i'm not being facetious... Can I ask what you are interested in , on a thread called Christianity?

We are finally getting to the periphery. People are throwing the baby out with the bath water I feel yes. And disrespecting where they came from in the most hypocritical and self destructive way imaginable. Fake empathy is a massive blameworthy phenomena, who knew even Empathy would become weaponised in the way it has of late. We are living in highly deceptive times... as i'm sure you know.

fyi , its been on the cards for a while , but Donald Trump for the first time admited that he prayed (TODAY), this is very new to him, especially publicly... (I CONSIDER THIS A WIN FOR THIS THREAD, FAITH AND TRUTH IN GENERAL) Kamila Harris on the other hand, told a Christian the other day that "you are in the wrong rally" Christianity is a massive pivot point at the minute for many, including many in the public eye, celebs etc, the divide is growing . That is one of the reasons why I am doing all this on this thread, right here right now. I want to be suffused with the public conciousness in this manner whilst watching this critical time unfold in the USA, I havent missed a beat. Its essential for me to know exactly whats going on each day, in order to temper my practices and messages here, here, here...

Thanks Coolio So there was a notion of oneness that far back, was it not always expressed as the supernal ain-soph-aur then? -
Ok I see where you are now. Much of the modern abortion situation in public consciousness is more political and about getting votes, particularly the USA at the moment... I'll clear it up a bit, modern problems that effect abortion and birthrate issues involve; Big Food and Big Pharma Parabens and Flouride Chemical and Plastics Lower Sperm Counts Rampant Gender Dysphoria Maladaptive Porn Use the list goes on. Tribalism is not proving good for our times, imho. Urban tribalism at its finest is gang culture and mostly problematic for society most agree. A lot of people are too frightened to have kids, in this world.. And they grow too old before they feel its important. Not all but many regret not having children. I thin its very sad , abortion many females regret having them. Role models for our future kids are increasingly cool older single people exhibiting freedom on social media. The family is broken... and crime is rampant.

Of course yeah, it wasn't advertised though and wasn't chemical. The natural habit supported it. See post below

I agree 100%

theistic rationalists - so they embraced Christian Morals and hard baked them into America... I was commenting on safety so it was the Christian Morals I was referring to that shaped the West. Culturally we are all Christians to at least some degree no?

need more depth on what you're saying for clarity? Do you think the modern debates on abortion are a smoke screen for something else? You'd have to define what you mean by modern problems, modern as in our modern or? Abortion in the past is totally different to now, I cant disregard the seriousness of child birth back then either (its was like 50/50 chance of death for mother no?), we are almost polar opposite today quick c section and women are home, , The impacts abortions have produced that I am pointing towards in modern day are impossible to see without assessing modernity as it is, so multifaceted, and so far from nature (Tamasic if you will). I consider this a disaster, I could go into detail only I wanted to refrain in case it got too personal for people...

The Good, The Bad and the Ugly... Too much? Fair comment though, that really helps at the moment, and colours my understanding, thankyou for the introspect. I was caught up on middle america, should have rewound to pen. In God We Trust etc

Cool Story; so the aboriginals punished wives for infidelity? was that considered bad , serious or really serious? Was it the same rule for the Blokes? Or was he just observing the Mexicans likely attitude? Sheesh, I think we need to evolve from this infidelity thing, (but not further into sterility, still keep having kids somehow) and develop some compersion within our societal structures, carefully.

The Construction of Judaism

Yeah, it seems its all more likely remanence of older tales doesn't it? Do you think the various Gods referred to are Visitors from other star systems and possible those who have seeded mankind at different iterations in the past. I read a book when I was around 15 that went into a lot of detail on this. I believe we were seeded from another planet way closer to a much bigger star than ours a long way away. I believe this was done intentionally. Do you? -
I don't think its required to believe them in terms of Faith, here is why. Faith is a catalyst for Experience. Again I only have my personal experience to draw from so here you are, I will share a bit. I had faith that I wanted to know Christ, but there needed to be an actual moment of genuine surrender for it to work. That happened with me, at one specific moment, I dropped my guard enough to actually let the experience in, it was unintentional and actually a reaction to fear that did it. Think this is different for different people, the bridge between faith and experience, For me it was a very stressful vision and unlike any other regular Psychic attacks that I've experienced in the past, this let to an experience with Christ and the crucifixion that even if I return to normal life. I will at the moment of death no doubt revisit it. Its too hard not too. Again I'm sure this is more just a control measure for society, but it is an education in this story then faith that can act as a catalyst to an experience I guess, if nobody knew about it , they couldn't have an experience with God through this particular medium. Its important to really hammer home the story to keep it alive and accessible to people I'd say... Yes this is still a mystery to me tbh. When I had this experience of Christ there followed a few days of experience of existence like never before. (and I've played with allsorts of practices over the years). I'm talking deep insights of the universe and time collapsing and reforming from a word... I was able to use the words with conviction afterwards, "resurrection of the body and life everlasting Amen", because of a great mystery that was revealed to me in the time that followed. It wouldn't have happened had I not had a trust in Christ, it was a gift, and maybe you could say he showed me "a neat magic trick" to get me in, but it got me in alright. Since then I had a different lens to view Christianity through. The words of the creed, "The Holy Spirit, The Holy Catholic Church, The Communion of Saints, The forgiveness Of Sins" etc... Words before that I was extremely uncomfortable saying, took on an entirely different meaning. It is almost as though the words and their meanings had come to life as a result, and sounded very different when I spoke them. I still had research to do though, so I did it, not loads but enough to know. The Logos was familiar to me before I read about it, through this faith-experience. I don't think so, but I think there is a great power in this word, "word" Logos.. I'm quite sure that the more we understand the words we use the more power they will have in our lives and in the world, whatever the words. With Christian words, prayers and practices, they can only really be brought to life if there is a sincerity when these words are spoken. imho And for that there must be a Trust in these words, and again Faithful Experience happens. I think this deepens in prayer. (I think this applies to all religions, deep belief systems, languages over countless Aeons). Quick example, "give us this day our daily bread" If I truly practice Gratitude each day sincerely which I always try to spend at least some time doing formally. It strengthens the connection to these words when I say them in Prayer,, and each time I say it it has more meaning and more effect. Thankfulness is such a big part of my practice as a Taoist, Buddhist and a Christian. I am thankful for everything, why would Christ be any different? Really though as I say, the experience deepened that. There is more to it than that but that's really all I can say for now.

Hi, nice to see someone mention Mantak in a neutral/positive manner. Where do you get your English from. Doesnāt sound like youāre a native speaker?

@blue eyed snake āThatās not strictly true though is it, the current instantiation is there should be three exceptions as Reagan also agreed. Rape incest and harm to the mother, then should be fineā Not legalised Infanticide and the sale of babies remainsā¦ these are currently the two choices, which would you say is most Christian and Least Christian? Breastfeeding being frowned upon in public. Are you talking about U.K. and USA at around 1925, between Wartimes? I think they had a lot more to worry about, but from what I understand it was a great boom period tooā¦ My little city became incredible between the world wars. But do you really want to bring the 1920ās into a discussion about Christianity? id like to know more about why you think thatās helpful and what actually is it about Christianity that you are trying to illustrate as, being badā¦ there was a lot going on in the name of Science back then, lobotomies for example.. are we going to blame a religion for that as well. Itās hard to know how to approach you BES, brilliantly trying arenāt youā¦

@Cobie what you make of this , died - descended to hell - 3rd day resurrection of the body stuff ? pretty intense isnāt it š¤©

@blue eyed snake needlessly repeated points that didnāt address the crux of the question IMO Can you do better?

That was a Rhetorical question. But in other words. The longer a widespread āorganisationalā force (trust and faith being a requirement) is in operation the moreā¦ The more long term ācalmā can be created. Metal - Creates Water. This is not speculation. Just simple and proven scienceā¦ IMHO

What do you want sources for. Happy to oblige. Unless they are opinions, in which case feel free to refute them. but one at a time please and separate them by paragraph spacing. Thankyou paradoxical, always enjoy reading your commentsā¦ my favourite paradox today by the way is āfake it till you make itā whatās yours?

Far enough , cool idea to return to that. Hey itās your barbecueā¦ iām gonna flip your question on itās axis for a minute and penetrate the landscape of Buddhist precepts to quickly illustrate a point. (Or at least drop in a bit closer to the horizon of said landscape) [and hopefully unpack later should the wisdom of change allow us to] Mirrors - why is it a precept of importance at a certain stage, to deepen oneās practice one must abstain from looking in mirrors (and of course eye contact with others, which is of course obligatory with successful meditation practice) Self perception. psychological and trappings of character, personality, preconceived notions. All of that comes into itā¦. Photographs - This old idea that photographs somehow steal part of the soul. That is one other part of the landscape that I think deserves a small portion of attention hereā¦ but letās stick to the mirrorā¦ There is a mechanism in believing truths that seem absurd. Right or wrong it does trigger a response in our development. It bypasses conscious reasoning and reaches the fertile ground of the unconscious. Believing what you see vs believing what you canāt seeā¦ Sensory pleasure is very alluring, how do we break that. We donāt have too. Shit Iād probably prefer to live in a cave. But thatās not modern reality. Not looking in the mirror allows us to get deeper into the practice of who we really are. Ironically I think there is a similar mechanism in believing unbelievable truths. Its not cool as an adult to see this as a clear programming tactic I know, but I feel that is whatās been going on. And say itās a mass hypnotism of sorts āto get a job doneā That said I do think there is some truth to the Resurrection and purported my theories earlier. But still an outrageous and sensational titbit for the mindā¦ The idea of the Virgin Birth is sensational news at the time, outrageous claim and bound to survive as a news worthy story for all timeā¦ Smart isnāt it, whether true or not. Did Osiris really get into a box that got smashed to pieces before being chucked in the Nile, only to be put back together later, probably not. But itās a memorable story meme none the less. And probably kept a lot of people in check one way or anotherā¦ People believing these outrageous claims gave them a new fantastic story to share and bond over with fascination and optimisation . [while those in power collected land and money, yawn] Right or Wrong, this is what happened in Christianity and is how the West was built, spread and fought forā¦ (whatās left of it) [look at where the word west comes from and where the line was actually drawn down the middle and why, or donāt ] Getting back to the mirror. We think we know who we are when we look in the mirror but we couldnāt be further from the truth. It takes a strict habit to stop looking in the mirror and you get to deeper truths. But helps with Enālightāenment I think Christianity has had a stab at that by seeking to turn men away from their more carnal leanings , so they could actually get shit done. (By looking away from self in this regard, eventually the light would seap in, and instead of the self being worshipped, there would be family, charity service. practically it freed up resources of time and energy, spiritually it made room for light, as it created a more relaxed and predictable setting with far less bloodshed and looking over oneās shoulder) And it worked. Functionalistically speaking Sorry for the elaborate code, it was the way I was raised. And in this world of AI, fast whatās app messaging, and quick fb posts I really think deep discourse is where itās at, and challenging these old views to see what Good is left out of it allā¦ Right here , right now, for the benefits of mankindā¦ Man is not God, I donāt think people should worship themselves and their wants and needs only. Even if itās a trick, getting people to look away from themselves and what is obviously true, has an interesting effectā¦ Itās completely messing Society up that attitude of Man is God. People these days are facing the dire consequences of that and getting stuck in first generation thoughtā¦ live for today not tomorrow, thatās a way to make a bad worldā¦ Anyone with Kids or Half a Brain can see that. We went too fair in that direction. Without respecting the safeguards that made it possible in the first place š„ Meritocracy being at the forefront , and arduousness over vanity and an entitled and hollow sense of selfā¦ The Holy Spirit I think was modified by Christ and then utilised through the unity the church āpartially forcedā on peopleā¦ quick question, were the first ever mirrors made of metal and not glass?, also what substance forms on a mirror if you leave it alone outside for long enough?
