  1. Thank you for the responses.
  2. changing the world

    I'm an ignorant person.
  3. changing the world

I haven't seen anything in regards to being passive in terms of changing the world. But instead of talking about it on a forum why don't you take action and change it? Your wasting valuable time and energy complaining about it on a forum.
  4. So if one is cleaning a toilet for example and you didn't have a single thought until---you thought of watching a movie. What do you with the thought of watching a movie during cleaning a toilet? To act sincere would be to let it pass? Disregard the thought? Or would you think of every bare bone movement youre doing while cleaning the toilet to remove said thought?
  5. changing the world

If you don't want any assistance and or guidance why post the thread? You said it yourself. Just do what you will. No one here can or will change that.
  6. I understand. I appreciate your help. So for example I walk a lot. During walking what should one do with thoughts? Using the word dissolve, do I dissolve myself completely into the procedure of walking? Or do I simply think of all the steps of walking (mindfulness)? And if neither of those apply when I do "dissolve" myself into walking what does one do with the "separated" thoughts?
  7. changing the world

"often times the general public is very ignorant and is not educated enough to make many decisions sometimes wanting to change things is just plain positive" Being critical of others is the opposite of what daoism is trying to accomplish-if anything. One must see and hear without having a opinion form. One must aimlessly wander. When trying to change the world you will build anger, resentment, fear, criticism and more-not in the world you wish to change but within yourself. Cultivate yourself before moving on. The only thing I suggest one does in the position your In is to not be directly involved. Spectate and assist when needed. Be still. Be calm. Be resonant. Just my ignorant unenlightened two cents.
  8. "He regards the mind of all being as his own mind". Would someone explain that to me In further detail? I'm blatantly ignorant but from what I just read that appears to mean harmonious with the environment.
  9. Hello!

I've been lurking this site for a while. I'm a deep practitioner of the tao and feel I need questions answered and maybe I'll be able to help others. I'm glad to be here! I'm dull and not to astounding but practice deep insight so in the end I may end up being halfway knowledgeable.
