What exactly is neidan/internal alchemy?
Taoist Texts replied to Iskote's topic in Daoist Discussion
but see thats the problem. as opposed to myself you were not given any concrete details by your teachers and you have not experienced it yourself. you just heard about it in meaningless terms. so one can say it is 100% different. normally it is not, but i like you. so if you wish, you tell concretely what it is in your understanding and if it is correct in my understanding, i will publicly admit to and apologize for being wrong about you not knowing what it is honest. -

so you personally achieved nothing and you are just what...speculating? regurgitating? fantasizing? those who did not achieve personally a certain thing - know nothing about how to achieve that thing. they can fantasize and parrot, delude themselves and mislead the others though. that they can. -

i understand you are not a Zen aficionado, fren https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flower_Sermon Not with that attitude

i do;) by dao i mean the practice method and the entire 'how and why' of alchemy/neidan/neigong from the beginning to the end. i can explain it to a reasonable person in 15 min (30 min tops if he asks questions). all with an unconditional money back guarantee! here is an example of how it was taught traditionally . check it out, may be you can spot a difference between learning the dao and learning a mundane skill
-
i understand completely what you mean. to make sense of one thing we do not understand, we try to come up with a suitable analogy. thats eminently reasonable. but you see Dao is an exact opposite of mundane learning. 1 Dao can be explained 'with one word, or half a sentence' so no years of study needed and 2. it is not about anything external like chemistry.

the most boring way possible. i looked them up a gazillion times until they started to make sense
-
i dont know. i have seen no markers at all so far. thats what makes me chuckle. of course. theory is defined as knowing what are you doing. how you can do anything without knowing what exactly you are doing? not at all. here is one example: creating a tangible millet-grain size pearl.

oh i just read piles of ancient chinese books
-
exactly. thats the operative word. whatever. btw what those are supposed to do? anybody knows? no;) i have not read his book but i dont need to. sight unseen i can bet you dollars to doughnuts you will find nothing concrete there.

yes thank you it would. his using those terms proves that he himself did not achieve the phenomenon called by these terms and does not know what they mean. (just like all other neidan teachers so thats trivial) what is fascinating though that the seller does not say what he sells and the buyers do not ask what they buy. There is an 8 page discussion of whether the price is high or low, video vs. in person teaching etc. Not one of these very intelligent guys ever asks what is bought and sold at that price, whats the result of that teaching is. A result is simply not a part of the equation, the what is not relevant at all. Fascinating really...and freaking hilarious!

so you pay first and then he tells you what exactly "lesser reverted elixir" is? or its gonna remain a surprise all the way?

when a thought is not followed by a 'because' it is not a thought. it is an opinion. everybody got one.

yes thats what i meant. sorry for being unclear. Normally peeps who recommend a teacher have a psychological need for a father figure or something so they are deluding themselves on account of the teacher's actual achievements or a student's results from the teaching. When pressed for concrete answers they either make up a blatantly fake miracle that the teacher performed; or offer unprovable results that the student allegedly gained like 'health' 'spirituality' etc.

apropos i believe that anyone who recommends any commercial teacher is genuinely deluding himself without any profit to be gained (the margins are too thin to be split)

interestingly it is not. because we all 'want to believe'. lets say the fantasist claims 'a tooth fairy brought me a dollar' or ' my teacher leaps tall buildings in single bound'. how do we know its a fantasy? we were not there, maybe its true. and there are dollars and tall buildings after all. But there is a way to know. You see a fantasist cannot help himself. He cannot restrict his fantasies to things that nobody has seen. Sooner or later his fantasies overflow into things everybody has seen. Like 'the grass is blue' or 'Mr. Bopomotofo is a great neidan teacher'. Then it becomes obvious. “Not that there's anything wrong with that!”

Help with reversing effects of visualization
Taoist Texts replied to Cultivation1's topic in Healthy Bums
mine was not an assessment. mine was logic. you know, 'a cause-effect' critical thinking If i develop issues while fully complying with the teacher's guidance it is not i who created issues. It is he who created my issues right? (logic here) and i wish you all the success and happiness friend. its just i dont do beliefs. i am a logic dude of course it is. The money that is taken under the false guarantee of safeguarding from issues. this one does not make sense at all. If the teacher teaches me without getting any compensation from me then it is his decision. How does that make me a parasite? Why would he teach a parasite? If he does not consider me a parasite how reasonable it is for any third party to judge me a parasite? Any hang ups maybe on their part? (you know, logic) -

It cannot? Then how come you charge paper value? It is based on some kind of evaluation right? -

then you admit that having a teacher is not a guarantee from having issues. Meaning that both having a teacher and not having one is the same as far as the issues are concerned. Hence teachers only pretend to add value but actually they do not right? Hey dont blame me, i am just asking innocent questions here.
