sorry friend i dont quite know what you mean here. 'a good teacher OF WHAT'? a development of what exactly? Ignoranti quem portum petat, nullus suus ventus est. If a man does not know to what port he is steering, no wind is favourable to him. Seneca. Epistolae, LXXI., 3. -

so, you are trying to learn a secret chinese art from the two mass-market non-chinese dudes? paying them your sweat and blood cash money? and the only problem is choosing between them? hmmm, its a toughie. i would say the either one of the both suits you excellently. -
Sure. The GF text and the CY book share the same beginning technique: reverting the light 回光. http://thesecretofthegoldenflower.com/index.html However the GF is limited to that technique and contains nothing more. On the other hand the CY, after describing the technique goes on to the next level of the orbit, elixir, embryo and so on - which are the methods not contain in the GF. Thats why i say the methodology of those books are different.
-
no, its two different methodologies depends what do you mean by proven and what kind of immortality. As to proven - there arestories, thats all. As to immortality - there is no immortality in the same old physical body.

yes. one of this days i will quit being so lazy and put it on amazon. here is a bit for you: My older brother’s first name is Zi-yuan, last name Kui-yi. From childhood he loved Dao. Our father’s name was Zhao Young-kuan, mother’s – Meng Sheng-zhen. The both parents used to say: ‘Zi loves Dao, he is the most virtuous of our Zhao clan’. When Zi was 10 years old we lost our father having two other brothers: the older one named Xing-yi, the younger Shun-yi. Our third brother Shun-yi got adopted by our father’s younger brother, Young-sheng. Mother Meng lovingly admonished the older brother, saying: ‘you loving Dao is not so good as first studying Confucian books. After mastering the Confucianism and the medicine then you can go visiting Taoists, it will not be late too’. Reaching his 18th year he was married, his wife Wang Yuang Qin-yi also loved Dao. From then on he would go out to visit Taoists sometimes coming home to see our mother once in 3 or 4 years, sometimes coming back home once in 4 or 5 years. Mother Meng asked: ‘you have been visiting Taoists for more than 30 years by now, what Dao did you learn’? Zi kneeling reported: ‘that of the teachers Tang Zhi-Ming of Jinshan sect; Gu Mao-chang of Longmen sect; Zhen-yuan of Lingji sect; Guang Si-ye of Limen sect. With more of 30 other gentlemen I have burned incense and knocked my head on the ground hoping to connect with the Western Heaven[1]; also I have printed books, released living beings, recited canons; I also learned a one word concentration, and making obeisance to Heaven; not mentioning other true instructions and methods. Also teacher Zhen-yuan gave me, the boy, practical exercises from Huimingjing[2] so by now I have completed a sharira[3]. Due to mother left in the house, now I, the boy, do not dare to go beyond the gate in order to travel carelessly and idly’. When our mother have passed away without an illness, after the funeral my brother left again never returning for 13 years on a stretch as of now. [1]西天 西天 Xī tiān the Western Paradise (Buddhism) [2] The ‘Hui Ming Ching’ (The Book of Consciousness and Life) was written by Liu Huayang, a monk, in 1794. The text combines Buddhist and Daoist directions for meditation. It comprises of eight paragraphs of verses with explanations and drawings on how to attain Immortality or Buddhahood. why not indeed. I have translated that book anew from cover to cover. The published translation is inadequate because it uses confusing terminology and omits many personal experiences of the author. what is it you would like to know?

Dage this was a simple yes or no question. Instead of giving a straight answer you post pics of doubtful value indicating that you (as opposed to myself) are not an expert on this matter. Let me bow out of this discussion all they while thanking you for your arbitrary opinions. Have a pleasant weekend;) 88 -

Hi Dage, good to see you welcome back. My position is as follows: 1 anger is bad and must be eliminated by the time when sainthood is achieved 2 sometimes anger is necessary until then My quotes that you have kindly collected express my point #1. The story of Wang-zhe who was angrily abusing his students prove my point #2. My conclusion from the #1 and #2 that its ok for Awaken to be angry for a while. But you guys claim that all anger is false always which is counter to #2. How we resolve this conundrum? One way of doing this is to claim that Wang-zhe is a false teacher. Are you ready to go down that road? -

Help with reversing effects of visualization
Taoist Texts replied to Cultivation1's topic in Healthy Bums
first of all you need to understand that your visualization is not the cause but a consequence. The cause is your innate energetic structure which makes you prone to fantasizing about galactic beings, neigong, orbits, qi emission, visualisations, parasite and other new-age delusions like that. These are all delusions which exist only in your head as clots and congestions of energy causing all the ill effects AND more fantasies in a vicious circle. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zou_huo_ru_mo The only way to cure this is fasting and long walks keeping attention on your feet but primarily - getting rid of the delusions. -

erm, Qi Emission=qi cultivation? Why these manuals are called "qi cultivation manuals " and not "qi emission manuals "? So first we cultivate qi then we throw it out? Makes sense. -

Ah the third eye, same as Awaken. No rudeness at all, no need to choose words just say it like it is, please demonstrate. Well yes and no. Among the yet not successful practicers it is an impolite question indeed. But the masters were quite open about both having and NOT having the neidan. You chose not to answer directly (which i respect) and that gives me the answer to my question. Because it is private i will not say what the answer is. Hence i retract my question and i am not asking you to answer it anymore. the question was about your personal experience thats why i asked for a direct yes or no. Of course, respecting your questions i will answer them directly ( i will also put a little smiley at those questions which neidanists do not understand. we can discuss those later if you wish) please do;) -

yes i do mean really and sincerely everything i say, including about the angry Awaken for the following straight question: have you obtained THE neidan (內丹) meaning a thing and a noun as in 'i have the neidan' NOT 'i practice neidan'? Just yes or no please. Thank you very much what exactly are these values? -

Thanks i just wanted to know if you are a neidanist or not. You are not and that is fine. But Awaken, myself, Wang-zhe, Qiu and Sun Bu-er are. Thats why you and we have different values and different terminology. I will give an example below. oh so you dont know what Taoist values are but criticize us based on Taoist values? Thats fine too;) My answer is yes it does. But i cannot support it in the way you demand. So i lose this point, you win this point. Congrats! Oh no no, i am enjoying this immensely. Please go on, you are winning so far! Here we come to terminology. Please understand that these underlined words do not mean a commonplace kindness and politeness. Qiu is a neidanist and in our lingo these terms means something VERY different. They MAY include 'commonplace kindness and politeness' as in case of Ma Dan-yang, but they are NOT those. Now the example i promised Do you think these two nuns were bad taoists? No kaixin, no mercy, no politeness like that? I think they are much worse than Awaken, at least she does not throw bricks! You know 'bricks and stones can break my bones...' You know when these two immortals were throwing stuff i dont really think they did that in silence. I kinda think they would yell one or two BAD WORDS as well. You know ANGRY yelling goes hand in hand with brick throwing. Bad bad immortals! Yet they are immortals while the role-players are not. -

very many such stories in circulation throughout the history. Since Song times* this story was associated with Qiu, there is a similar 'red eyed stone lion' legend in Buddhism. Is this historical? there is no such thing as history. it is all legend. Were the innumerable Chinese who with hope and admiration transmitted and listened to this legend for a 1000 years kind and kaixin? yes, just not in the role-playing way. *T宋 南宋 Nán sòng the Southern Song dynasty (1127-1279) -

there is no rush, please take your time, i highly appreciate what are you doing. by the way what taoist school you belong to now, and for how long did you practice altogether? hey you do have a third eye! i hope i smell good. I translated 磻溪集 from cover to cover 5-7 years ago. thanks for an excuse to brag about that! Oh i see you did learn something new about Qiu's open heart! Very good! so you suggest somebody made that story up? somebody just jumps up and goes 'hey let me make up a story about how Qiu cursed a bunch of people and let them be buried alive under a mudslide'? who when and why would make up a ghastly story like this? 为学日益,为道日损。
