  1. Mair - 1:3

but i did! whats the big idea here?
  2. Mair - 1:3

These two seem to talk past each other. A:somebody told me there is a spirit man. B: you are blind and deaf intellectually. why should the spirit man bother himself with such things? wat?
  3. Mair-1:1 - Carefree Wandering

Yes you did Daeluin thanks. Anybody else thinks that the fishbird is the ecliptic? It flies from north to south and up from Earthly ocean to Heavenly ocean during spring-summer, there it descends, turns back into fish and swims back from south to north. is the ecliptic. It flies from north to south and up from Earthly ocean to Heavenly ocean during spring-summer, there it descends, turns back into fish and swims back from south to north.
  4. Mair-1:1 - Carefree Wandering

May be). unfortunately not. like i said, in translation industry the groupthink reigns. Mair wanted to provide something new but it turned out same old. In general, while the recognized translators get the most of ZZ's text right like 75%, they certainly do not understand the overall meaning, and they certainly get 1/4 of the text wrong. The piece you posted contains some more translating mistakes. i can correct those if there is interest.
  5. Mair-1:1 - Carefree Wandering

Of course it is, its plagiarism and group-think all around. Take this para: None of them (or their readers) ever understood that this non-sequitur of If you 're going on an outing to the verdant suburbs you only need to take along three meals and you'll still come back with a full stomach. If you 're traveling a hundred tricents, you need to husk enough grain for an overnight stay. But if you're journeying a thousand tricents, you've got to set aside three months' worth of grain is actually a continuation of the cicada's and dovlet's speech and should be included in the quotation marks. Then instead of a non-sequitur it will become a coherent argument by the cicada explaining why shorter trips are preferable to long ones. You dont need food supply on shorter trips, thats why.
  6. Mair-1:1 - Carefree Wandering

Another gap in logic is between these para: Whats the reasoning between 1 and 2?
  7. Mair-1:1 - Carefree Wandering

Thats a totally reasonable explanation based on these 3 translations. Except the three tenors translators, got the meaning wrong. I looked at the original closely and here ZZ says that Peng-zu who lived mere 800 years is pathetic compared to the turtle and the tree, who live thousands of years. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peng_Zu
  8. Mair-1:1 - Carefree Wandering

    why is that pathetic?
  9. Hehe, There was this master of Single Yang or whatever, who had a sarcastic retort to those who claimed having the EB: "You say you obtained embryonic breathing? Where is your embryo then?" (He is an irritable dude.)
  10. I totally agree. Yours is a good achievment, congrats on that. Please make sure you dont overdo it. I understand, but sorry, no can do. This stuff is secret for a number of reasons. Absolutely, no argument there. Btw, thats one of the reasons for secrecy. If i told here my personal experience here it would be just another story adding to confusion, nothing more.
  11. All the misconceptions and guesswork about EB stem from a phrase in Bao-pu-zi 《抱朴子·释滞》:“得胎息者,能不以口鼻嘘吸,如在胞胎之中。” "Whoever obtained EB, can do without inhaling through nose and mouth, similar to an embryo in the womb". Note, that same as the OP text, he does say what it is not, but does not say what it is exactly. So people are reduced to guesswork, thinking that it is the breath stoppage or some kind of DT contractions, or leading qi, or stopping thoughts, or whatever. Which it is not . A pointer to what it is (p 1056).
  12. Hehe, I know. Stopping of breath is unusual and feels good, also the text describe the beginning of the eb as 'the regular breathing stops', so when people experience stopping, it they go - aha! this must be the eb! But it is not. Stopping is a sign of a good progress but still far from the eb.
  13. Both groups do not know what they talk about, because they both say that EB is absence of breathing, either actual or seemingly. In truth, the EB is your normal breathing on the outside, its just done differently on the inside.
  14. Britain and the European Union

(gasp) oh no! population decreasing! that would mean more infrastructure, jobs and breathing space for every one! oh the horror! quick, import some unskilled freeloaders!
  15. By the Numbers

They would have accounted for it but the sex crimes by muslims are covered up In September 2012, investigations by The Times based on confidential police and social services documents, found that abuse had been much more widespread than acknowledged.[22][23] It uncovered systematic abuse of white girls by some Asian men (mostly of Pakistani origin)[24] in Rotherham for which people were not being prosecuted.[25][26] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rotherham_child_sexual_exploitation_scandal while the whites are framed and prosecuted illegally Julian Assange 'rape victim' criticises UN decision over detention ... www.independent.co.uk › News › People 6 февр. 2016 г. - Julian Assange's alleged rape victim has called for him to “take responsibility”, as she criticized the UN for ruling he has been illegally detained.
  16. Going to China to learn inner alchemy

Normally i would not say anything but you seem to be sincere. http://www.thedaobums.com/topic/40543-misconceptions-of-qigong-neidan-alchemy-20/
  17. Exactly. That's the tricky thing about the language in general and about the 無 in particular. Some times it means 'no' sometimes 'non-being'. How you know which is which? You gotta understand the subject. cool:)
  18. I agree that 所 does stand for a noun, being a pronoun, i.e the grammatical role of 所 is "1) What, that which, all that, whatever (nearest thing to a Chin. relative pronoun, introducing a noun clause): " http://humanum.arts.cuhk.edu.hk/Lexis/Lindict/ but there is no 'no' here. what ppl mistake for a 'no' 無 is in fact the Buddhist term for 'non-being' and what they mistake for 'actually' is in fact the Buddhist term for 'being' 實.
  19. No it is not. The single issue is: in a historical perspective was Spain better off under Franco or under the communists? It could have been democratically elected but shortly after turned into a communist cabal. Franco did his duty.
  20. Britain and the European Union

A question: shall this inform the voting given the EU immigration and refugee policies?
  21. Britain and the European Union

Obviously anybody who disagrees with the liberal propaganda must be an ignorant hick to you. But that's ok you are welcome to rationalize. however this made me curious... 560 pages is short for you? Product Details Paperback: 560 pages
  22. Britain and the European Union

this poem was used for the commie propaganda before For Whom the Bell Tolls Novel by Ernest Hemingway For Whom the Bell Tolls is a novel by Ernest Hemingway published in 1940. It tells the story of Robert Jordan, a young American in the International Brigades attached to a republican guerrilla unit during the Spanish Civil War. Wikipedia as a title for a book glorifying an attempt to enslave Spain by the global Bolshevism, The brave Spaniards fought off the red plague that time, while the despicable author, who was an alco and a war criminal, blew out his own brains 21 years later. Sometimes good wins in this world.
