Made me think of this:

Existence is to say at the least very doubtful. Who confirms that one exists, is existence absolute or subjective? Is the universe in me or am I in the universe? Gosh, so many questions. Too bad my ratio is very resilient and won't budge when questioning these matters.

Voice loss - can it be spiritually caused?

Hi Perceiver, What suddenly cam to my mind, was when I was struggling with my esophagus, I had an episode of hyperthyroidism. Probably caused by a virus. Have you checked your thyroid hormone levels yet? -
Gratitude is on the other side of the coin with greed on it. It teaches one to be humble and to see more clearly the value of matters which go otherwise by unnoticed. In a way, it can be seen as mindfulness! At least, that's my take on it.

I recently moved to the countryside, and there really is but one thing I miss, it's the song of the Trush Nightingale. The most beautiful (and loud) bird song I ever heard, right at our old house in the middle of a busy town. This one has a slightly different accent though:

And yet, it's problems like these that are also great opportunities and a window into the divine. (But that's only partly my own experience. I still have to get rid of a lot of rubbish too) -
He could talk to the birds, couldn't he? I think that if chaos ceases in ones head, you have more encounters with birds. They don't seem that scared anymore.

If you would say he lived in the seventies, I would have believed that. Maybe a previous incarnation of Freddie?

Encounters with wild animals such as hawks are so awe inspiring!

I recently moved, so I can't find my acupressure books. They're probably in one of the boxes at the very bottom of the pile. But if you search for the word "stomach" on this site, it will help you find the points: http://www.acumedico.com/acupoints.htm This one is more simple, but with less points: http://pointfinder.org/classic/ -

I will look up what points to use. I don't remember their exact position anymore. My esophagus was completely cured after two years. I stopped taking the omeprazol I was subscribed after a year and a half even though the doctor said I would have to take them my entire life. -
I never knew about the belt meridian. Interesting, reminds of de fleur de luce.

Hi Perceiver, If you're not trolling: I've suffered a inflamed esophagus a few years ago. It wasn't fun and it lasted long. One of the main things you get from this is, difficulty with swallowing, a sore throat and pain in the chest. Medicine couldn't cure it, but I've applied acupressure with success. It never returned after that. -

Alas, I walk like an Egyptian too. It hurts after so many years that my feet have pointed to the left, yet my head pointed to the right.

Hermetism or Hermeticism?
Anoesjka replied to GrandmasterP's topic in Esoteric and Occult Discussion
Many hermits can be considered as occult since they are not easily viewed when being hermitic. And so they are hermetic too, since they have closed themselves off from society. Heretics! -
Well, since this is all hypothetical anyway, it would be safe to assume that I could be from another gender just as easily. And then I would have sex as a man. I'm just so curious how that would be. I'd have no good advice to give anyone, just as I don't have now, sorry!

Hermetism or Hermeticism?
Anoesjka replied to GrandmasterP's topic in Esoteric and Occult Discussion
Hermits didn't practice hermeticism? Both words seem to stem from Hermes, so to me they may imply the same. But what do I know! -
I believe the art of alchemy is embedded in our psyche and is taught to anyone willing and able to listen to this internal teacher.

How can we learn, if not through regret?

How come you don't desire the things you desire to desire anymore? Maybe your desires are changing?
