When I heard of Max attaining the Golden Dragon body my first thought was the Gum Long meditations but later I learned he did something called kunlun but it wasnt the same. But kunlun shan is very c lose to tibet and kunlun uses magnetic fields but its not the same as the Gum Long system. I think that practice is some way related to it but its not it. Every major sect has guardian practices or gate keeper practices. Like for Wudang you can do wudang taichi but that is not the Zhenwu practices of the turtle snake. Do I think Max has attained the Golden Dragon body? Yes but is it the same as the Gum Long practice no. With taoist it cones down to the guardians your sect is connected to. An pulling out a taoist astrology chart to back it up. So if you say your practice or sect is more powerful than mine then bust out a taoist astrology chart and show me why.... So this is one of the reasons orthodox sects are backed up or connected to one of the gate keepers of the tao.

Well your asking me why the most potent inner alchemy disappeared? Not 100% sure. Im not sure if it was lost like the legend says or if it went underground. Look if your into chinese astrology then you know about this. Then later you find out there are practices for each guardian. Then you learn what the attainments mean. And the Golden Dragon of the earth is the most powerful just like everyone says. But heres the disconnect. The golden dragon i was taught about is much much more powerful than what I heard on here. He is the guardian of earth if he comes knocking on your door it doesnt matter what sect your from you cant beat him for the whole fact is he gets a constant and non stop empowerment from the earth. The Gum Long meditations have long been lost. If you attain the real golden dragon attainment you dont need a rainbow body doctor or anything like that. The earth heals you. The guardian of earth by attainment and by spiritual right... So someone of wudang which is the turtle snake, or shaolin which is whiter tiger and azure dragon, or lunghushan which is tiger and dragon....Doesnt matter your the golden dragon anyone who is schooled in chinese astrology and taoist alchemy knows what that means.

Well there is the written history and then theres the occult history. The emperor of china use to wear golden dragon silk robes.... But it is the tibetan people who are the descesendants of the golden dragon meds infact to this today thier WHOLE inner alchemy is about attaining the rainbow body.

Lets go into this a bit more... The Real Golden dragon of the earth is a powerful attainment... The golden dragon is the guardian of earth his whole dominain is earth. The legend of the golden dragon is that he can go anywhere nothing stops him......... The is the combination of all the other elements he is their source. Now where the tibetans got it wrong was by using sunlight just like baolin wu and the 9 palaces solar qigong. Yes you can a level of rainbow body with it but that isnt the attainment...If its done that way you just fade away because it wasnt built right. Now with the real golden dragon attainment who can go anywhere in the earth infact the earth strengthens him... And it is this fact that the golden dragon can hold his position.

Now of the golden spirit immortals the earth is very important. Vast inner luminesce just like the earth. The earth purifies you and strengthens you. If you get the rainbow body without the attainment of the earth as well you wont be able to hold it. Remember the earth grounds and strengthens you. The chi of the earth very powerful if you attain the rainbow body with out relying on very deep earth chi you will end up carrying around a rock or precoious metal to feed your rainbow body......

Golden Flower thats sounds taoist but lotus........... seems more correct and kind of buddhist. Now the shaolin were buddhist now I wonder what the lotus tradition of china is...........

Umm ok sure. It has to be done at 3am for this is when the morning mist is strongest. The feet have to touch the earth to ground you and so the mist energy comes up thru the body. Its done facing east because it correlates to thunder and the direction for that is east. Cloud cultivation is both martial and healing. Clouds can carry powerful ionic charges and are also healing and very restorative. Hope this helps.

Im sorry none of this seem realistic. The truth is in the beginning the teacher and the student are unsure about each other but each is hopeful. In the beginning they might not even like each other. and both holds back. Plus how can the student even comprehend the level of mastery his teacher has in the beginning. The student is weary of the teacher and art and thinks, "is this right for me?" The teacher thinks, "is this the student who will be dedicated and is worthy to pass my art on to?" Time will tell. If everything goes right. The relationship will grow like fine wine. The student will be dedicated and love the art and tradition it came from and practice sincerely. The master will care for the student like his own child. An the 2 will speak and or meetup daily to talk about the training and the art.

Ok I like your above post except for this statement. So before I post my own point of view let me say that ive never trained in Buddhist, Christian, Sufi practices. So my point of view can be totally wrong. But My understanding that neidan and taoism maybe similar to other esoteric arts but it is also unique. To attain the Tao you have to come in thru one of the mother lines of the tao This determines the taoist sects and the energies they work with. To spiritually have such a deep connection with very powerful forces of nature in your daily life is very taoist.

The cultivation of the dan and its field. This is yin and yang internal and external. Neidan means internal cultivation of the dan meaning that if I were to observe you practicing then all I would see is you sitting there for it is all done internally like the MCO. Weidan means external cultivation of the dan the elixir meaning if I were to watch you practice you would either be doing a seated or standing moving med for it is external movement or the cultivation of the field. A good cultivation system has both. For it is the cultivation of dan. When you work with the field it works and circulates the dan and vice versa. Remember it is the dan and its field.......

I remember reading a inside kung fu magazine about this years ago and I also remember discussing it with my teacher at that time. His explanation was this (note: I can not say it as good as my teacher said it) that mastery comes with time. It matures. Once a young man or woman starts to maximize on all of there virtues at one time the flow is cut off and life ends. My teacher put it much better than me. He broke it down to the types of chi (jing, chi, shen) and their spiritual virtues. And how one flows to one over time. It was a great conversation he even wrote it down for me if I can find ill post it here. But one of the things he told me that stuck with me is "That only saints get into heaven"

Its not about helping people its about helping yourself an opportunity that the tao made manifest in your life and if your spiritually intune with helping yourself then you help others. There is no accomplishment without meaning. Everyone has there reasons or meaning for how they are. An accomplishment for one man is a accomplishment for all of mankind. So saying basically that somethings like this isnt wholly on man alone it is also on the tao who works thru that man to manifest something for mankind and by doing so gives the honor of accomplish to that man.
