Rosicrucian Keynotes
Michael Sternbach replied to Bodhicitta's topic in Esoteric and Occult Discussion
Oneness is what is underlying everything. It is not obvious when using senses and a thinking that are based on making distinctions, that is separating things (a skill the infant has to learn early on, it seems). This kind of perception is appropriate for dealing with the world of form. Nevertheless, even here, things are "not two" (a-dvaita). -
Besides, Daoism is very Piscean, with its emphasis on flow; "the Water Course Way", as it were. Really fishy...

Rosicrucian Keynotes

This is "Victorian age" esotericism - pretty dualistic, like most books written around the time. -
I told her that. Even though that's a very broad statement. Particular foods can be attributed with different planets and corresponding signs. For instance, chilly peppers with Aries, potatoes with Taurus, coconuts with Cancer, wheat with Virgo, and so forth.

That would be Mercury in aspect with Uranus. Presumably with a Neptunian connotation. I need to look up Kurt Vonnegut's chart occasionally (if it's online)...

I am the way, the truth, and the life.
Michael Sternbach replied to tiandizhijian's topic in Welcome
I don't know what it means "to believe" or "not to believe" in Jesus Christ. He was an avatar, just like Krishna, Buddha, Lao Tzu, Zarathustra, Hermes Trismegistos, Pythagoras, and some others. All avatars teach the same essential truths. There have been, and there will continue to be, various revelations of those truths, in keeping with the demands of changing times and different cultures. -

Regardless. It's the principle that matters. -

I don't agree that chi is synonymous to energy, nevertheless, your interpretation makes sense on the physical level.

Lao Tzu couldn't say more about it either. Yes, that would be a possible way to read it: +, -, 0. This 0 is also taiji as the union - and mutual cancellation - of yin and yang. "The ten-thousand things" is the manifest world as the result of the interactions of the basic forces. That's a pretty wide array. Find harmony in and with yourself. All the rest will follow.

Theories and practices dealing with Yin and Yan energies in Chi-

The situation you are describing is so complex, it's fucking goofy.* Perhaps you are over-intellectualizing a little? *What Minnie is doing when she is cheating on Mickey. -

Theories and practices dealing with Yin and Yan energies in Chi-

To consider any sensation a milestone would be an exaggeration, I think. The more your subtle body is being activated, the more common such sensations will become. They are a natural part of the process of spiritual awakening. How much attention you should dedicate to them, i.e. if you aim at deliberately amplifying them, depends on the goals of a particular method. Feeling and directing chi is essential in some of the practices you mention. -
Given his uncanny abilty to derail threads, no doubt about it.

There are subtle differences between those statements that you call same, even though it's true that overlaps occur. The analogy to a Tarot spread that can be read one way or another does apply. Both Tarot and Astrology are archetypal systems. Berar in mind that Archetypes as such are without form, but can manifest in many forms, as Jung observed. Differences in the lifes of twins that are based on free will decisions will be seen later in life, of course - hardly when they are still babies. Hope this helps.

Michael Sternbach replied to BaiPacho's topic in Daoist Discussion
Yes, that's a great book. The DVDs that are accompanying it are also very interesting.
