"The feeling is that of un-mind-imaginable Oneness I will not do the disjustice of attempting pitifully to quantify linguistically." Woefully inadequate, my apologies for not offering better. There is no relate-able experience reference for which to make comparison. In compassion I will make an effort for you. Maybe if you could fathom summing all the emotional intensity of experience all human and animal life in all of beings in all universes through all of the illusion of 'time' all combined into the infinitesimal perception of Now, then squared it, it would still be lacking. 'Non-ultimate-reality' version of answer, no it's not permanent, the layers of separation that arise from my minds mis-conceptions of reality cover over the natural capacity to perceive this state. Each thing you think or believe or 'run through your mind' or whatever is what you're trading the capacity to perceive this innate state for. A species would not last beyond it's first generation if it could only exist in this state, it would never feel the need to eat or sleep or reproduce and it would be entirely at peace with dying rapidly with no reason not to, it's requirement for earthly experience would be concluded. 'Ultimate-reality' version of answer, 'true consciousness'/Self is already there and inherently could never leave even if it wanted. It is the source from which our mind interprets some human sense/dimension/perception limited inputs from to then plug into our series of filters and output some biased judgmental construct-based delusion we then call reality. Think of putting on a pair of thick gloves, then another pair over the top of them, then another pair over the top of those, then yet another pair on top off that, etc. Now attempt to read braille through it. The culmination of my work has only thinned some layers, there may be infinite layers left or maybe just a few. When the layers of separation from reality thin, every moment of life becomes so wonder-filled and intensely unbreakably joyful, any urge to rush towards an endgame fades because this moment is already like Heaven/Nirvana (or whatever other linguistic bias one may choose to describe aligning with the nature of reality.) Nettle tea in large doses is an entheogen, from numerous sources he drank so much he turned green, allegedly living from it alone for years. There are a surprising amount of plants used for special teas aside from merely the addictive stimulant bearing variety greatly popularized by folks who evidently had such uninspiring mediation sessions they struggled to stay awake. Natural unassisted mediation alternatively can be intense indescribable bliss of wholly and mindfully embracing compassion to all beings, no caffeine stirring up the mind pointlessly needed to stay awake then. Some synergistic plants cleared the path. This is also how Milarepa and others were assited. (Nettle tea etc) Technically we all permanently have the ability to perceive the unfiltered Now. Practically, even with nearly complete cultured mindfulness and a lot of dedicated effort the path to that ineffable state remains a mystery to access without assistance, and even then only if complete surrender of the 'mind constructed' can be relinquished (attempting to describe this in mind created terms is utterly laughable). The feeling is that of un-mind-imaginable Oneness I will not do the disjustice of attempting pitifully to quantify linguistically. Unlimited Love, -Bud

Our thoughts and reason sum to create a byproduct artifact illusion of little self. We do not exist because we think, we exist and then choose to think. If one thinks in words, one is thinking in the taught constructs and ones output from such a process inherently wont escape being some arrangements of taught and you-relate-able construct delusions. It's inherently impossible to relate the ineffable, both to those who have and haven't experienced it alike. It's not a destination the fearful and clinging can achieve no matter the dose, they will just use the experience to be in a state of choosing to suffer there own delusions same as they choose to do in every other experience. There are plant tools that can assist in offering an otherwise extremely difficult to find pathway to temporary surrender all your concept of constructs. No concept of a language or any of its associated human delusion shenanigans. No concept of a 'previous' moment ever having been. No concept of a 'future' moment ever 'to be later'. No concept of body, no concept of the capacity for illusions of attachment. No belief illusions of 'knowing' ever having even been an option. Not even a trace illusion of the little looping indoctrination and self-constructed illusion of mind remaining. The surrender and letting go of these normally irrevocable constructs takes an incalculable amount more courage than any other experience encountered on earth to the limit of my limited ability to know it. A lifetime spent racing cars, superbike racing, motocross racing, surfing in visibly sharky waters at night, extreme skiing, orgies etc all becomes inconsequential humdrum in comparison to spending a single ineffable timeless second in this ineffable state of perception. I don't judge you for your answers brothers, prior to the experience, I had also thought such a state of perception would be impossible (because it's impossible to fathom) and if it were possible it would be pointless (because it is pointless to the ego and the little mind that clings to comfort in words and logic etc which aren't involved). It doesn't make you awakened or enlightened or a good person or a bad person or anything, it's just an experience. However, it does forever alter ones awareness of the potential of perception beyond mind that no amount of intellectual looping banter can offer. This is why long ago folks used "mystery schools" and "plant shamans" and "witches brew" etc as tools that have now been replaced by the most part by books of endless looping intellectual banter that inherently can't escape it's own paradigm confines as you've already shown. If one is living in complete compassion, and others choose to become angry about it and hurt/kill you, show them Love and enjoy the experience in compassion for yourself. It's better to be getting killed and enjoying the experience in a state of Love than to be killing from a state of fear. Death isn't some shame of life, it's the singular entitlement. The shame in life is to let your choice of Love/Compassion to die while the body was still alive to enable the inherently fleeting mind to support it. Unlimited Love, -Bud

My apologies for your choice in interpretation brother. I am sincere. Call it Atman then or any label of choice if you have bias.

Karl my friend, first I must say, I am grateful and indebted to your probing discussion. Lack of experiencing unmind-filtered awareness of perception does not preclude the existence of the choice of state. My words can not be capable of relating existence of the state to you. It is a timeless experience because time is the perception of passing thoughts. It is a state of awe in that no attempt at interpretation of word/verbal concepts is fathomable. This is due to inherent word limitations of only representing qualities of relationship concepts in the perception limited perspective of the finite. When trying to express the infinite and infinitesimal Oneness it's beyond the game piece arrangements scope of relationships. This is why the games break down and end in loops of endless philosophy banter to fill library shelves. This is also why Buddha said not to write down his words, but to instead focus on liveing the lifestyle of compassion that brings peace-to-mind, offering clairity of the ever present beyond mind. In compassion for your new awareness brothers. "Wisdom in Buddhism can refer to two types of insight: conventional wisdom and ultimate wisdom: Conventional wisdom relates to understanding the conventional world, or the world as we know it. Traditionally it refers to understanding the way in which karma functions; to understand which actions bring us happiness and which bring us suffering. Conventional wisdom covers all understanding of the world as it functions, including science, with the exception of ultimate wisdom. Ultimate wisdom (jñana in Sanskrit) refers to a direct realisation which is non-dualistic, and contradicts the way in which we ordinarily perceive the world. The direct experience of ultimate truth, selflessness or emptiness is beyond duality. "

Yes, those would be additional examples of composite delusions, as it would anything word and/or thought based. Reality is Reality, accepting human constructed substitutions would only be cheating ourselves out of the ineffable beauty and wonder of Now that encompasses all that is real to the limit of a humans perception limited ability to know it. We are in agreement brother. :-) Unlimited Love, -Bud

There is only your perceptions in the infinitesimal emptyness of Now. If one makes a thought about the perceptions, one has already transitioned to delusion, as thoughts have a beginning, middle, and end, and hence cannot exist in the infinitesimal of Now. Buddha is recorded as saying many things to many folks who were lost suffering in the maze of the dual illusions. This does not change the nature of reality. Unlimited Love, -Bud

Bad trip... in a need for some bums wisdom
Bud Jetsun replied to Yinja's topic in General Discussion
A trip offers some perceptions. Its the beholders interpretation that assigns the label of good or bad. If you take SSRIs or MAOIs or a variety of other "anti-depressants", they can combine synergistically with resulting effects going beyond the realm of the mundane and comfortable. Often the trips initially labeled "bad" offer the most potential for humility and positive life changes when the experience is integrated. What made this trip "bad"? Was this your first tripping experience? Unlimited Love, -Bud Edit: Im not an expert, my advice is no better than any others, but perhaps spend some time alone in nature and meditate on integration of whatever the experience offered. -
To stop playing the game would be to conclude the delusions. The Trivium is a composite delusion built from a foundation of composite sub-delusions based in human construct game pieces called words. At no point does any aspect of stacking additional layers of the non-real make the real. One is inherently free to chose belief in whatever delusions they like, however it doesn't make them real beyond the mind of the believer. I respect that you are operating in your own personal web of delusions like the rest of us. The error is in assumption belief in the human-construct delusions is better or worse than belief of any other kind in any other delusion. The tools for "knowing" are inherently delusion. Knowledge flees from Wisdom like darkness flees from a candle flame. When one is ready for wisdom, the games of knowing-delusion are replaced by awareness there was nothing to be known. A chess game is won not by practicing end-game finishing techniques. It's won by one pawn push and simple piece trade at a time. Then when the board is less cluttered, if your early pawn game was strong, openings to mate start to present themselves. If you sit down to play chess intent on a 1st move checkmate, good luck. This is like sitting down and attempting zazen mind states without realization of the nature of mind, good luck! So much focus on end game, comparatively no intrest in clearing the board to a point at which it makes sense to even bother looking at end game practices. First live the basics (universal compassion, conclusion of fear-thought/attachment, foundation realizations etc). At this point every second of life is already so unbreakably beautiful and fantastic that looking for checkmate stops being a clinging want, and hence it becomes possible. Until the basics are the rock you live/sleep/dream/breathe, trying to move beyond them seems unlikely to yield more than delusion and frustration. If one meditates before recognizing the nature of mind, how can one know what they are perceiving isn't exclusively mind delusion tricks? If all the folks in the world today focused on chants or energy flow or scheduled ritual practice were instead to choose to spend that same effort towards living universal compassion to all living beings, we would be living in a world with a lot less suffering and a lot more realized beings then capable of begining a journey to enlightenment awareness. Realization is a tool to chip away at the non-real. Realization does not mean memorizing some words. Real-i-zations are the process of shifting one's mind towards what's real (words are human construct delusions). Final realization is recognition all ones 'belief' of realization process has been also been delusional personal perception artifacts. There has never been any-thing to 'know'. A realized being may still suffer. The difference is, they recognize it as their own choice and have awareness they are equally free to make self-compassionate choices. No matter how realized one becomes, it is a process of the mind, and inherently fleeting. Enlightenment and Awakening are labels for ineffable trans-mind awareness for which I'm not qualified to type. If reading ones written definition of them could offer comprehension of them, even in a tiny way, then they wouldn't be worth pursuit anymore than any other intellectual comprehension. Unfiltered complete oneness perception. Becoming the Way. Unlimited Love, -Bud

Death isn't something to be feared, no matter how much of your life experience you dedicate to avoiding death, the most one can do it trade more opportunity to show compassion towards futility. When one fights, they demonstrate to the world they are no better than any other being acting out of ego fear delusions. Unlimited Love, -Bud

Tell how you would react if it was already known and unstoppable that your own body was going to die 1 minute after whatever situation you were thinking of choosing violence. It's 4pm, someone threatens or offends you (or whatever delusion you think justifies you in choosing to do physical harm), you know at 4:01pm you unavoidably die of natural causes. Do you let it slide? Do you frantically try to kill them in your 1 minute left? Now what if it's an hour not a minute? What if it's a day not an hour? A week not a day? You already know it's just some amount of days and hours until you collect your singular entitlement.

It is the most precious gift brother, but you can only give it to yourself. You already have much excellent wisdom, just connect the dots you already have shown you know and the pieces will fall into place with such grace you will be awestruck and forget the previous method of thinking that caused pointless suffering to yourself and others. If the thoughts you chose to have yesterday are the same thoughts you choose today, what does it matter if you have tomorrow's thoughts or not? Even if your sole concern is selfish desire for joyfulness, then still Love all beings as yourself. Living compassion is how you spoil yourself, no amount of 'winning fights' or 'losing fights' will ever matter brother. Unlimited Love, -Bud

With respect sir, the release of tension happens when you forgive and consciously and mindfully Love your "enemy", not through torturing your own mind with negativity that makes you no better than whatever you were choosing to be upset with them about. No matter what someone is doing, even if they are hacking into you with a machete, they are doing it ultimately for the same desire for compassion and liberation from fears and suffering as anyone else. They are just using an alternative method to your own at that moment. If you grab your own machete and hack back at them, you set an example of reciprocated fears and violence. Embrace death, make it a display of compassion that unforgettably stirs beings and you have done more than any physical defense you could muster. The 'outcome' of events has never mattered, everyone of us pays back our fleeting loan of energy from the universe in full. Unlimited Love, -Bud

The body is a tools for having experiences to lead to realization. Once realizations are complete, it's just a hindrance that requires perpetual upkeep (food/sleep/etc). Some claim with force of bodhisattva will one may continue to occupy a body for a while, though ultimately this would be incompassionate to self. No matter how snazzy of a device your body may be, it is indescribably perception limited compared to becoming pure experience transcending time/space illusions. There is nothing to fear in shedding the body and concluding the mind, these are your singular divine entitlements given in mercy. Unlimited Love, -Bud

Practical ways to let go of attachment?
Bud Jetsun replied to vtrader125's topic in General Discussion
Impermanence realization. Pick some wise beings poetry on the subject and meditate on the implications of the meaning beyond the words until impermanence becomes an unshakable awareness of your reality. Attachment then crumbles to dust like everything else. Unlimited Love, -Bud -
Experimental loophole-free violation of a Bell inequality using entangled electron spins separated by 1.3 km
Bud Jetsun replied to Brian's topic in General Discussion
One may easily perform the double slit at home with a telescope aimed at distant stars, a razor, some foil and a camera with long exposure time. Even one side of the earth to the other seems comparatively insignificant distance beyond what entanglement has already been observed to function. The above article is an example of a clever setup to enable uniquely (previously assumed impossible) exacting results rather than just observe the presense of the phenomena. "Entanglement" is a human observation of Oneness. The 1.3km of the illusion/artifact of distance arises from a human reference perspective limitation. Viewed from infinite perspective reality there can only be oneness. When oneness appears as 'physically separated' this is an illusion given rise by human perception limitations. With each beat of one's heart, electro-chemical processes are generating magnetic fields to control the amazing pump in your chest. These magnetic fields are easily measured when near, however they are never lost, only beyond human tool assisted perception to detect. Every heartbeat carrys energy to all "reaches" of the UNIverse (oneness). With unlimited Love, -Bud -
The Art of War
Bud Jetsun replied to woodcarver's topic in Miscellaneous Daoist Texts & Daoist Biographies
Lay down your burden of the illusion of a need to defend. Realize the illusion of a need to defend is only a manifestation of personal fears. Use the energy previously spent in the delusion of defense towards compassion for all beings in all states of awareness (both hostile and peaceful alike). If choosing to fight, the outcome isn't important, all that mattered was already lost and if you 'win the fight' you lose far more. Greet other beings and sensations with unconditional Love and acceptance. Any alternative is just a demonstration you are no better. Unlimited Love, -Bud -
Recognize the divine in all beings. Namaste. Without experiencing cruelty, it would not be possible to appreciate kindness. When someone is kind to you, be kind and loving back. When someone is cruel to you, forgive completely and be kind and loving back. Appreciate every encounter with every being cruel and kind alike, be grateful for the enrichment of your human experience. To not is to suffer your own fearful reactions pointlessly and incompassionately. One can only suffer ones own minds choices. Unlimited Love, -Bud

The Abyss is the Anima Mundi
Bud Jetsun replied to noonespecial's topic in Esoteric and Occult Discussion
That example is Jesus mind fearing the potential to form material attachment (to everything he could see or whatever he was into). Buddha being visited by the 3 daughters was Buddha's conclusion of fearing his lust. Like every adventure of the mind, it is unique to the consciousness creating it. What perceives the abyss is inherently without mind, utterly indescribable. With unlimited Love, -Bud -

The Abyss is the Anima Mundi
Bud Jetsun replied to noonespecial's topic in Esoteric and Occult Discussion
Buddha writes about his adventures in getting tempted by whatever was the sum of his own unenlightened minds residual fears before letting go of battling himself when he surrendered himself to his 'earth witness- the nature of reality'. When nearing the abyss, remember one can not defeat oneself in chess by practicing chess and improving ones chess skills. Before that realization that intellect-rooted-function could never defeat itself was made, the perception of infinite collapses of galaxies had occurred. If you mourn for everything/everyone, adventure concludes in self imposed suffering. Despite being a fleeting arising, all beings minds still deserve compassion. In respect for compassion of the mind, avoid the abyss until the basics are your unshakeable rock of reality. You can typically get the basic few things from most any religious text, some more clear than others, but any who try to write of experienceing voidness can not be more than someones choice in delusional arrangement of symbols.
