  1. Fear is the root of All suffering

One is free to make his or her delusions as real as they like if you wish to justify pointless suffering out of ignorance. If not yourself, then whom is thinking these fearful thoughts for you? Whom is dreaming them for you? At which point does a man lose domain over his mind and thoughts? It's always just you, nobody else can do your thinking of suffering for you, nobody else can conclude your choice to suffer for you. Mindfulness is the simple key, recognize there never could have been a moment you lost perfect mindfulness, when you experience the illusion you've lost mindfulness, it's still just you there with your thoughts. 2. Fear is the root of All suffering

If you mindfully conclude choosing to fear, by default you greet all you perceive with Love, as that is the only alternative root of thought for humans. If you are choosing to Love all you perceive, suffering is impossible. A humans past is nothing more than some ever evolving delusions of imagination filtered through human perception limitations and processed by delusions of judgement and categorizing in the mind that is no more real than they choose to make it through choosing to believe the illusion. If you recognize all that is real is the perception of this moment of Now, how can anything else effect you outside of yourself consciously choosing to suffer out of ignorance? 3. A Working Theory About Beliefs and Reality

Belief is synonymous for delusion. Humans seeking outward Truth will find only delusion. Truth inherently can not be contained nor expressed in words, which are arrangements of human delusion constructs. Only the perception of Now is reality, everything aside from perception of Now is only an elaborate illusion. Wisdom is when you recognize there was never a thing capable of being known. Our perception is so limited, we lack even the ability to detect if we are simply dreaming this whole state we call 'physical reality'. With Unlimited Love, -Bud

There are plant teachers that could assist you to reduce the time to experience that state, or increase the time to experience that state. They could assist you in finding inner peace, or equally assist you towards madness with realizations you did not have the foundation to handle and were not able to integrate. Ask yourself first why you want to experience such a state. If you are merely seeking to conclude suffering, shifting your lifestyle to match your ethics is a much lower effort option.
  5. What is the Ego?

The attempt to classify what is a delusion arisen from a perception limitation is like trying to define the shape of a sand dune. It may always have shape, but that shape is never the same after you've looked. Just the act of seeking for the source of the delusion alters the delusion. For some, ego is the inescapable all encompassing reality of life, and that will never even fall upon a moment of doubt in their belief. For others, it is some residue aspect of consciousness seen as delusion and nothing more. Both are correct to the humans limited ability to entertain the delusion of "knowing". 6. Is joy (bliss) a marker on the way?

Dualistic bliss, the non-fearing state of ego or ego-peace. Non-dual states like Nirvana are ineffably beyond bliss. Still Nirvana is not enlightenment, just another mindful choice induced state of indescribably complete peace. These states are inside anyone's reach to experience at this moment should they chose to experience and appreciate Now 'wholeheartedly'. A nice state to experience, and liberation from choosing to suffer.
  7. Is joy (bliss) a marker on the way?

The hazards of bliss are attachment. Bliss is not enlightenment, and it is it's own type of potent drug, one you choose to take with mindfulness rather than a tea or pipe. Bliss is a nice state to enjoy, but still egocentric and an easy place to plateau.
  8. Your practice needs no name, and needs nobody else's set of rules. There is no path to realization beyond self-realization. If whatever practice you have assists in your realization, it's working. If your practice is stagnant, drop it and move to something that encourages your realizations. Labels/words for it are not requirements. Unlimited Love, -Bud
  9. Ego and enlightenment

What situation disables the potential to think your own thoughts? Retain mindfully embracing experience without fear and you can not suffer. To not do so would be purposely incompassionate to yourself. The material world can provide perceptions to our senses. It is exclusively in our choice of interpretation and embracing these perceptions with fear or love that determines if we suffer. Pain and pleasure are merely an interpretation choice apart.
  10. Is joy (bliss) a marker on the way?

Peace and bliss are indistinguishable when either is complete. Imagine a state where ones thoughts by choice are exclusively rooted in Love, now take away the "thought".
  11. Ego and enlightenment

The delusion of ego you choose to believe you're perceiving in Now is the ego. It's the thing you trade your peace in to replace with the illusion something else thinks your thoughts in a parade out of your control. Nothing else has ever thought a thought for you, you always have had perfect mindfulness Now. It only requires seeing the illusion of not having it for what it is. With Unlimited Love, -Bud
  12. What is your practice?

Mindfulness is key. I prefer never to have the same practice twice. One only gets this one moment to make the liberating realizations. I don't follow the path of another, because it can not also be my path. From my experience, the right way to meditate is whatever way a session leads to realization, everything else is exercise/gesture. Before meditation, forgive yourself, forgive all burdens you carry, and forgive all yet unarisen potential of future burdens. Recognize the impermanence of all 'things' (including body) and why attachment to them is pointless suffering. Let your thoughts transcend that which will crumble to dust. Realize if meditation contains words it has not escaped human constructs and will not escape pointless loops of construct delusion arrangements. Conclude judgement, conclude preference, conclude fearing detachment. With a clear mind, fearlessly embrace moving deeper into mind, not judging the rate the depth comes, not pushing for deeper, just letting it settle naturally as it clears. Experience the natural state, absorbing the realization it offers. Post-meditation realization integration, and living a mindful lifestyle that is not in conflict with your ethics enables bringing the bliss into every moment of Now. With unlimited Love, -Bud
  13. You only 'extinct' your delusions, your wanting, judging, clinging etc. They are available to return at any moment you wish to cease control of a mindful state that excludes them, however with there return includes the self-arising suffering they bring. Your ego may view it as losing everything to which it clings and manifests from your delusions. Your non-ego being doesn't miss them in the least, it enjoys indescribable bliss of peace without them. Imagine the worry level you have if you are living only in Now, not in the delusion of what may be, or what your mind has delusions of remembering what has once been. It's an indescribable state of universal and complete peace. With unlimited Love, -Bud
  14. While traveling through Spain yesterday, I stopped at a huge cathedral. The Moorish craftsmen were masters. The front had a monstrosity of gold plated idols for worship, a spectacle at least 50ft high of foil gilded everything. There was a man who's job seemed to be getting ignored as he told folks in multiple languages not to take photos inside the church. I did not kneel when I reached the front next to the massive gold idolatry. The man politely asked me why I did not kneel before the alter. I told him I shared the religion of Christ, which was an anarchist Buddha harshly opposed to both idolatry and religions that put emphasis on the external. His answer was priceless, "No sir, Christ was a Catholic, and you should kneel, kneeling will help develop your faith."
  15. Vegan

Many humans are free to eat whatever they choose to purchase and eat, irregardless of location, irregardless of season. When they choose to pay others to torture and murder innocent conscious beings, and then partake in a corpse eating rituals, they get to live this suffering themselves. If a mind is so polluted and cloudy it can mask awareness and/or justify the ethics of torture and murder of innocent beings, it can only be superficially mocking introspection practices through invisibly compartmentalized psyche barriers. Know yourself first. Choose if you are a being who pays others to torture and murder living beings, each with there own unique personalities, in exchange for your temporary flavor sensations. Nobody else can have ethics for you.
  16. Objective reality

Logic is a type of game humans constructed as a rule book for arrangements of word-constructs. The practice of playing the game, nor the output of the game can ever be Truth or Reality. Very often the human mind chooses to sustain a delusion that confuses logic with the nature of reality. Logic is a byproduct human delusion construct played with game-pieces of construct delusion words, and even when you make the finest rule book to play the game, and use the biggest pool of gave pieces to play with, it's still a human construct game not reality.
  17. Objective reality

For anything objective to arise, it would require omnipotence. Humans deal only in the illusion of objectivity, from which some arise delusions it was possible for objectivity to exist. I would tell the farmer he is alone with his consciousness in emptiness. The delusions/illusions of anything he has the illusion of 'knowing' of his reality arise from his minds thoughts fueled by perceptions, which can not exist in the Now and are universally non-real.
  18. The Effects of Psychedelics on Cultivation

In everything, there is a path to do it wrong, and a path to do it right. (Actually just doing, but I'm making an incorrect generalization pointlessly)
  19. Vegan

My wife and I choose a vegan diet for reasons of compassion, and preferring to avoid karma of corpse-eating ritual. Given the choice, I would choose to pick up a fruit and eat it rather than murder an animal and bleed it out and rip its organs out and chop up its carcass. For this reason, if I pay another to do this for me, I've merely transferred the physical duties to another to do the foul acts that I would personally rather not do, this is both in-compassionate to the animal, myself, and whomever ends up in that chain of people and events related to getting the animal carcass bits on my plate. I don't eat dairy, because to my personal ethics it is not OK to machine-rape animals, steal away the baby to be raped and milked if it's female, and if male to have it's head locked in a board clamp to stand in its own feces for a few months of fattening, never getting to even turn around until it's time for that infant to be killed for veal (veal comes from male calves from the dairy industry). If you like to support those activities, and in doing so manifest aspects of them into your life, feel free to do so. I prefer to fruit and green leafy veggies from my garden, and my body and mind have never been more healthy and clear minded as a result. My body heals faster and my endurance seems limitless. It's also nice to spend so little time associated with meals. No dishes to clean and no cooking to perform, just pick off the plant and chew and swallow. A great simplification of what can become a major life distraction. Unlimited Love, -Bud
  20. Funny Spanish cathedral experience

If Christ was a Jew (and I don't disagree this is the textbook answer), he sure spent a lot of his life smashing Jewish philosophy and ethics and religious practices. Never mind that the term Catholic wasn't coined until 110 years after Christs death. Jetsun, you obviously need to spend more time kneeling in front of a wall of gold plated crazy to develop your faith. :-)
  21. The Effects of Psychedelics on Cultivation

All human input to understand the nature of reality is filtered through perceptions. It is fallacy to assume 'sober mind' is some uniquely accurate perspective, it is merely the subjective delusion filled hallucination many are most comfortable experiencing. We are all going to die, and every-thing will crumble to dust. In the illusion of 'prior' to this, we have a single fleeting moment of experience to aid in realization. It is not that plant teachers themselves offer anything beyond fleetingly altered perception. It's that with each additional vantage point of the nature of reality offers the potential for previously ineffable realization. The plant can't do the work for you. It's easy to use a plant teacher, choose not to ponder the nature of reality, choose not to make realizations, and choose not to mediate on them afterwards until you've integrated what the new perspectives and insights offered rather than simply forgetting anything profound and unrealized. The human body is hardwired with hundreds of thousands of specific chemical receptors and blood-brain barrier transport systems that exist in every human for the sole function of receiving extremely specific plant-teacher compounds that chemically interlock with them like an incredibly complex 3d key in a 3d lock. Though certainly not required, many past enlightened beings who actually succeeded did so through leveraging plant teachers of many types. In more recent times, we see outspoken behavior against plant teachers by those who wish folks to follow them in existing in an unrealized state of delusion and perpetual suffering. If one was born of realized parents into a community of realized beings, and all conversation one experienced was enlightened wisdom, it would be conducive to enabling self-realization, we would all be swimming in Buddhas without needing any realization aids. Given that this is not the life experience most face, and given the difficulty of the realizations didn't decrease, and given every interaction with non-realized beings is reinforcing non-realized thought, it seems like foolish pride not to use the diverse arrays of realization aids nature and our bodies design has afforded. 22. If one follows the repeatable scientific process steps, you arrive at the conclusion there is only an indeterminate flux, which gives rise to nothing until the moment of perception by a conciousness. Then it's location and emergy are determined by the choice of how that conciousness chose to look. To call oneself a 'scientist' today precludes belief in a concrete deterministic material world, as the evidence simply doesn't support it. That previous misconception was brought about as an artifact of perception limitations. With improved tools to perceive, much like the first microscope causing scientific community uproar at the existence of tiny animals living in the water, the realization 'matters' natural state is non-concrete and indeterminate will also take some time to integrate into improved reality models. Until then like anything new it's met with scoffs. This guy isn't saying remotely new for those who have followed modern QM research and pondered the implications. With unlimited Love -Bud
  23. Carl jung and eastern thought

Your mind is the singular source of your choice to experience frustration. Karl owes you nothing and is free to like or dislike anything he likes for any reason or no reason. Logic and reason are word-games played with arrangements of construct delusions. Logic-games can't escape the confines of the words composing them. They are as equally non-reality as those who choose to entertain belief-delusions as a substitute for reality. There is nothing to know. Nothing to compare. Nothing to judge. Droplets of ink or patterns of pixels do not combine into bliss. It is a gift only you can give yourself through recognizing it never could have been outside yourself.
  24. Carl jung and eastern thought

Words are constructs that are subject to both the authors and the readers inherently subjective and relative interpretation of connotation and denotation. If words could convey truth, we could simply write "be oneness" or "Be" and we wouldn't need forums like this, everyone could just read a few words and enjoy the bliss of liberation. This makes the best a book can hope to be an arrangement of delusional construct stacking. For this reason, you can't look for perfect wisdom or truth or reality in anyone's words, because they are a medium lacking that capacity, no matter the composers intellect or state of awareness of reality. If someone reads some words written by Jung, or spray painted on a subway wall by a hooligan, and the combination of delusional constructs is perceived in a way that aids in nourishing someone's own realization, they were the right words for that persons realization at that time. That is the most words can hope to be. If a reader chooses to confuse Truth with the droplets of ink on paper, this is an error on the part of the reader. If someones book as something that triggers realization of the nature of reality, it was a useful and good book, even if that realization came in the form of recognizing the author's own misconceptions. Perhaps it's best not to judge anyone's writing, as it ultimately can only be a reflection of judging ourselves. With unlimited Love, -Bud
  25. If not a Creator, then What?

What defined the matter without perception my friend? Matter, like time and like space require perception first to arise from indeterminate existence. This path of discussion often end up chicken/egging. All a human could know of God is no-thing, and yet also inherently everything our reality constructed as a personal God delusion.
