Re: "I'm interested to learn anything anyone knows about the brain and the development of clairvoyance etc." ----- Consider first "the" brain. The modern brain? Modern brain is damaged: Mother of young brain has mercury "flu shot" during pregnancy, lodging neurotoxins in the fetal brain. Umbilical cord is cut before baby eats, causing brain lesions (dead spot) as blood goes from brain to lungs and digestive organs instead of from placenta. Baby is taken and washed, removing bonding developments and mother probiotics. Baby then gets more neurotoxins injected - aluminum, mercury - and immune system impaired by vaccinating with peanut oil and human DNA, etc. Then baby is given totally wrong "food" including baby formula made with more neurotoxic metals and refined sugars. This baby is then usually grown on the flesh of tortured and drugged animals (see PETA videos), and given about 12-16 years of programming (brainwashing) on how to function in an artificial, proprietary system of thought and living. About 50% of these manufactured person are diabetic, 50% having cancer, more than 1 in 50 "autistic", and so on. Is THAT "the" brain that is going to somehow become "clairvoyant"? In old texts, in any old systems for cultivation, nobody is ever referring to this new, altered, modern brain. - VonKrankenhaus

Making sense of "Yin" and "Yang" . . .
vonkrankenhaus replied to Lataif's topic in Daoist Discussion
YinYang is a preliterate concept. It is not a dualism, but a dualistic monism. It isn't about "things". And since yin and yang always together, we do not say yin and yang like two things are there, but YinYang of anything or anywhere. Same thing with Qi. Qi is not a thing. That is why they never find "meridians" in phsiology. Qi is the relative potentials of YinYang at any given point in any spectrum of matter or energy. Not a "thing". It is potentials. Polarity. I Ching is not the book of things. It is book of change. 5 phases is also YinYang - how the transitions or movements happen. 9 palaces also YinYang. So by these (and more) we are seeing the movements of YinYang. -VonKrankenhaus -
Thermodynamics is just about the movement of heat. Gravity is about basically one kind of movement too. My definition of Qi applies to all modern and old concepts about change and movement of both energy and matter: "Qi is the relative potentials of YinYang at any given point on any spectrum of matter or energy". -VonKrankenhaus

Re: ----- "circumcision is always a bad idea?" ----- Not necessarily either a "bad" or a "good" idea. But it was taken up after thousands of years experience in animal husbandry and slave management to have specific effects on human development that are not part of any modern debate about circumcision. So, in basic, most people are having this done to children but have no idea why or what it really does. They have the fluffy, fact-less, illogical explanations told to them in media and by professionals, and they believe that stuff. Results of this cannot be "undone". For more information, one easy to find source is Carlo Suares in the book "The Cipher of Genesis". - VonKrankenhaus

It helps in parenting to not destroy or diminish children. Isn't that obvious? Or not? If you cut the umbilical cord before the child breathes or nurses, this is causing brain and liver damage. If a nurse take the baby from the mother to weigh it, this is causing behavioral damage. If you inject baby with neurotoxins, its brain is poisoned. If you cut the child's penis either at birth or at a later time, this is causing permanent behavioral changes. And so on. Most of the "normal" things done to children do not produce normal children. They are producing something else - in such quantities that people think such damage is "normal" or "common". - VonKrankenhaus

Tao means "Way" - like saying "the Way things happen". This is about "change" - how change happens. So it is like saying: "The Way things happen, even nothing will change, and the only way nothing can change is to become something". That "something" is the first "thing". All "things" also changing, bifurcating, dividing - appearing as "two". Tao is not a "thing". It is the way a "thing" appear and disappear. Like the Way of making toast can be said to have "give birth to" toast. It is just a convenience in thinking and talking. - VonKrankenhaus

The human being is 100% made out of "food". "Food" is just another word for "Environment". - VonKrankenhaus

Are not humans freely eating the whole cosmos? Are they not also becoming food themselves? - VonKrankenhaus

Religion is made for controlling humanity. Otherwise, each person has of themselves the innate responsibility and freedom of their own development. Which can make them harder to organize into building more means by which to control them. Religion is part of "civilization", which is a form of animal husbandry focused on the industrial development of a diminished and controlled humanity as farm animals. And - "science" of today is also a "religion". - VonKrankenhaus

Do (all) enlightened masters agree on any one single thing?
vonkrankenhaus replied to s1va's topic in General Discussion
We have all always only been a part of reality. The individual perspectives can be "Truth", but Truth is like a finger or sign pointing to reality. As such, "Truth" can be incorrect and unreal. Associating "Truths" is not reality. And then there's "Lies" - which are the "modernized" version of "Truths",,, - VonKrankenhaus- 126 replies

Fascinated by Taoism, slowly building discipline
vonkrankenhaus replied to samuel.savage's topic in Welcome
More could be achieved by avoiding things that diminish human development than by seeking compensatory techniques. Bad food is more harmful/diminishing of jing than any normal ejaculation. Add birth management that mentally retards people. Add chemicals and neurotoxic metals in vaccines, food, consumer products. Eliminate these (and the rest of the diminishments) and "cultivation" is already happening. -VonKrankenhaus -
Wanna talk about "brainwashing" and manipulative billionaires?
vonkrankenhaus replied to dust's topic in The Rabbit Hole
Media has never been different in terms of use and purpose. Do you think King James had his "Bible" written to "help people" as an exercise of some altruistic intention? If so, to "help" them to do what? - VonKrankenhaus -
These issue are more now than in the past. Ego is just a mechanism of the animal forms. It allows for personal as opposed to collective responses within the environment. In a crowd of people, one gets thirsty and reaches for water. Just that one, and not everyone. The act of this correction or compensation is the end of it. Then, ego function reduces back to not necessary. To control people there must be "individuals". These are created via overblowing this ego function to be happening all the time. There are many ways that this is accomplished. Modern system is all about it - consult any media or education to see how. -VonKrankenhaus

Real, non-poisoned, organic "food", properly chosen and prepared. What we call "food" is actually the bits and parts of our overall environment that we physically internalize. Fractionating that overall environment into little pills that contain only certain purified ingredients is going to result in a kind of limited or partial view, partial expressions, and fractioned interactions. Connect to the Earth, not to a factory. -VonKrankenhaus

"When I see what industry and out of control global capitalism are doing to the world, I wonder how humans will ever stand a chance at higher levels of cultivation. There will always be masters who emerge from the muck but beyond that, how do you enlighten when your environment is polluted and your food is poisoned?" ----- That describes the studies we do here. That is the beginning premise - how to adapt old practices to the current people and world - how to compensate for modern diminishments of varying kinds, so that various practices might actually generate some true progress and not just some sick people who learned an expensive way to waving arms around. - VonKrankenhaus
-
Food is another word for "environment". It is a compaction of the overall environment that we internalize. Like the way we carry a personal "ocean" in/as our blood. So any practice of interaction with the overall environment could be measured against how that environment has been internalized, and how it is being expressed. Bending the knees and waving the arms is a very inefficient way of dealing with poor quality choices. Developing accurate discernment in nature, with nature - is how we are naturally evolved. This has been derailed, made artificial and controllable. "Nutrition" is a concept associated with, and serving, that artificiality. But the natural way can and must be recovered by cultivators, if they are to understand both traditional teachings and modern realities. - VonKrankenhaus
-
Yes. It is possible to do this. - VonKrankenhaus

Why do some progress faster than others?
vonkrankenhaus replied to uhapy's topic in General Discussion
Re: ----- "but how come some practices do not yield significant progress for the practitioners after a long time?" ----- Human beings are not what they used to be. They aren't even what they used to be merely 75 years ago. Never mind 500, 2000, or 6000 years ago. They now have fairly serious problem doing very basic things. - VonKrankenhaus -
Re: ----- "I was wondering if there was a device or something that could cultivate and harness Dao Energy? Anybody know of anything like that?" ----- Dao means "way". Like "the way of making a donut". There is no "way of making donut" energy. Nor "way to get home" energy. Qi - maybe we can call "energy" - but modern idea about "forces" is showing not forces, but "relative interactions". So we say "Qi is the relative potentials of YinYang at any given point on any spectrum of matter or energy". Human being is a perfect device for understanding and processing these potentials. - VonKrankenhaus

It's all fake. Nobody set up the media and any networks just to tell you the truth. They did it to influence and manipulate. Like King James did with his "Bible". - VonKrankenhaus

Russian Alchemy: Turning Lead into Gold
vonkrankenhaus replied to Wells's topic in General Discussion
It always seemed to me that the ancient alchemists job was to make gold from lead, for the King. So they put the lead in the water, befuddling the subjects, who could then be easily convinced to give their gold to the King. This alchemy is still happening today, so we know it does work. - VonKrankenhaus -
Gender roles: traditional view of men and women interaction in life and practice
vonkrankenhaus replied to Kara_mia's topic in Newcomer Corner
Modern gender roles are imaginary constructs developed to render people easier to manage. Ancient gender roles are based on situations that no longer exist. For example, woman was the center of life and economy before remote trading made the role of men increasingly more important. Prior to that time, it was well understood that woman knows and masters life intrinsically and internally - whereas man must look outside himself into his activities to find this. Modern industrial way is pretty much asking woman to give children off to schools, professionals, and state, and leave the home and work for corporations - while man is posing for selfies in his summer dress and lumberjack beard, - VonKrankenhaus -
Re: ----- "There are also people that dont mind working 8 hours a day. They have a house and great jobs, and children. They love eachother and are very happy going to work and going home." ----- There are people who worked at concentration camps that felt that way. There are people very happy with being drug or alcohol addicts. There are people who don't mind murdering others. P.T. Barnum said there was one born every minute. - VonKrankenhaus
