  1. why I left Healing Tao/Universal Tao long ago

Re: ----- "Concerning Aliens on Earth, it is evident today that the pyramids were not built by humans. Scientists believe at the moment they were built by a dead ancient civilization, but what if they were built by extra-terresterial instead?" ----- It is not "evident" at all that the pyramids were not built by humans. That is to say, no real evidence clearly showing such a thing to have happened. The true history of humanity on Earth is not really known, and has been actively covered up. There was recently a news item showing that the Smithsonian had covered up evidence of giants existing in America. The article was titled "SMITHSONIAN ADMITS TO DESTRUCTION OF THOUSANDS OF GIANT HUMAN SKELETONS IN EARLY 1900′S". The entire idea of humans or humanoids getting into tin cans and driving from one rock to another for light-years seems to me just a 1950s way to get people to build jets, rockets, and missiles. The whole phenomenon is a product of industry and media, a convenient "thought virus". In reality, "alien" life forms are continually travelling the cosmos in the best space ships ever designed - inert microbial life forms. In around 1.5 billion years, if surviving the current and future crises of planned idiocy and selective breeding and domestication, people of Earth will go move to Mars when the Earth becomes uninhabitable. This will create legends of space travellers who seeded the existing life on that planet. When we get to the point where we understand how to make an interstellar space ship, we will understand that we never needed it. We are already on all habitable planets in some form. For very short distances, physical tin can ships do work, but will never work for interstellar distances. So Michael Winn might just be appealing to the "new age" type of customers he seeks, or he may really be onto something. Vibration, including thought, and especially "will", can travel any distance more or less instantly. Then again, in terms of cosmic distances, by far the easiest vibrations and thoughts to pick up are the ones generated right here on Earth. -VonKrankenhaus
  2. Yang (right) side of body out of balance?

Liver (one side would show liver, the other side showing spleen/pancreas) may be exhausted from sugar or alcohol, and this compensating for long-term overly contracting foods growing up - like meat, salty stuff. Expanded side is weak. If so, changing diet and some lifestyle factors can restore balance. By doing physical exercises, would take longer to have a good effect other than more-or-less temporary symptom relief. -VonKrankenhaus
  3. Internal/external, what are the differences?

I think that it is a mistaken distinction, a "delusion", and at best a conversational convenience, to see "internal" and "external" as actual "things" or "goals" or "directions" - but I am saying this from the first and last perspective of totality. So I feel that this is a temporary perspective that sees internal and external as things and goals, and of practice. Yes, we can make a YinYang observation of a polarity, in structure or energy, etc, and call it internal and external. But YinYang is inseperable and complimentary and actually about these apparent polarities changing into each other. Internal and external are not things. And that is the key to understanding this discernment of internal and external. So in practice, looking at internal we are looking at external, and we find external at the internal. And that is the key to practice. -VonKrankenhaus
  4. Interesting experiment

Re: ----- "Would spontaneous movements start to occur of increasingly complex nature? ,,, I wonder if the increasingly complex spontaneous movements would result in a person eventually standing up and moving around..." ----- Over 40 years ago I was studying Hei Kung in a small class under the supervision of my sifu and sigung, and we were doing some exercises that induced spontaneous movement. We were wearing blindfolds, but at that time, I always peeked to see what was happening. One of the students shifted out of the exercise posture and began moving as though he was walking, very slowly. His arms were moving in front of him, very slowly and gently. He appraoched a wall, and when he got to it, his arm, moving in a slow circle in front of him, went through the wall like it was made of paper. Another student once suddenly popped up from an exercise posture, and from my view, it looked like he was picked up by his head and flung backwards and upwards, hitting a wall behind him with his head a few inches below the ceiling. I would say he flew about 8-10 feet backwards, and the celing was high - maybe about 12 feet. These things happened among us for some while, but then we progressed and got over it. -VonKrankenhaus
  5. How do you gauge your energy mastery?

Re: ----- "I perfectly agree that any form of trying to quantify or measure the efficiency of Qi projection reeks of asking for miracles and could enhance ego identification. I work on this but I am not free of that. The nature and intent of my original question, however, was to discern the quality of energy I am projecting." ----- There is nothing wrong or selfish about miracles - that we are here at all is certainly a miracle worthy of consideration. If we didn't ask for miracles, then we would experience nothing at all. Everything we ask for is a miracle. Nature is a miracle that we will never see out of, as we arise and demise entirely within it. In terms of how to guage energy mastery, we first need to know what energy is, and also what mastery is. I am assuming that "energy mastery" in this thread refers to Fa Jin. But can people concerned with this even digest their food or think clearly? Fa Jin is also your talking and all other expressions. These we can sense mastery in easily. Ultimately, we master our Destiny, and we do this with Virtue. But first step, we are mastering our intake. Such mastery becomes our expressions. Without mastery of intake, no mastery of going forth could issue. When we talk, how do we guage our mastery of talk? Our Qi - where did it come from? If we don't know, then Qi going out is an issue that stays beyond us. -VonKrankenhaus
  6. The deep significance of the placebo effect

Re: ----- "There is no better way to deconstruct the belief in our embodiment than to recognise the placebo effect and to see that ALL our illness can also be understood as mental belief." ----- Belief is "deconstructed" or, better "mooted", in the face of fact and experience - so first we need to see and experience the answers to such questions as "what are we?" and "how does all this happen?" - the very basics. Our experience of consciousness of "body" and "mind" is exemplified in our early development, when the embryo divides into two parts, which become on one hand the digestive/intestinal organs (the center of "physicality"), and on the other, the brain and nervous system (the center of "consciousness"). In an infant, these grow together and first - babies have a big belly and a big head compared to the adult. The part that deals with the physical environment is simpler and more expanded, and the part that deals with vibration is more dense and complex. One part deals with space, the other with time. There is a balance of functionality of these two parts. When imbalance arises we experience these as physical or mental "illness". This is just one example of why we may be conscious of a "body" and "mind" in the first place. But there is much more to this. -VonKrankenhaus
  7. The deep significance of the placebo effect

Re: ----- "There are two ways of conceptualising what is happening: 1) A healing belief heals the mind, and this then shapes and directs the chemicals and hormones until the mind healing is reflected physically. 2) the only reality is mind and there is no interaction between mind and matter. Biochemical changes are a 'story' told by mind. They are a kind of metaphor for mental processes but essentially just more of the same mind stuff." ----- These are two ideas commonly associated with this phenomena - but I feel that they are both inaccurate as real descriptions of what is happening. "Mind" and "matter" are not separate. "Biochemistry" is a made-up way of looking at reality, as is "psychology", and neither one of these confabulations actually reaches truth, nor were they ever designed to. We use these ideas as "conveniences", but they become limits. So, they are effective ideas for trading in a consensual but imaginary lexicon of explanations such as an "industry" or "society" or "culture" that aims for consistency and repeatability. This is something like the way people assume there really is a "fast food" reality, or "the world of entertainment", or "scientific progress" - all just bold yet inaccurate constructs, assumptions that would fall away if not reinforced continually. So I am just suggesting early caution in seeing delineations as we explore this. We might be making assumptions from the start that end up standing in our way and shaping our view unnecesarily. -VonKrankenhaus
  8. Semen retention and sexual cultivation

Re: ----- "Jing/essence is, in fact, the power of our youth. Those with less age quickly." ----- Can anyone point to some examples of people who have aged quickly due to exessive sexual activity? And, additionally, examples of people who exhibit advanced aging due obviously and solely to their having less essence? -VonKrankenhaus
  9. Grandpa learns how to 'play' on Playstation

Were those human beings in that video? Was the setting representative of what anyone would recognize as a "home"? In any event, the message seems to be - if your parents interfere with your access to "devices" and "programming", then call the authorities and have them committed to a mental hospital. Of course, the "dysfunctional family" has been a staple of modern media. Earlier, starting with 1950s stuff like "mother-in-law jokes" and the "my wife,,," jokes, the intent was just to divide the husband and wife. Then we saw the kids become involved as "juvenile delinquents" separating from the parents (as special "family" courts were being set up to do just that legally), and now it seems that since they have everyone "podded" - directly wired to programming all the time - that access to the "pods" and "devices" is obviously more important than access to parents and grandparents. The grandpa character seems just like an updated and "psychonized" luddite from the early TV days. Older people in the 50s did recognize the trajectory of this stuff as TV was being rolled out, so right away they were portrayed in the programming as "squares" or "out of it" or "against progress". Young people, not knowing any better, took it up and looked for signs of what the media was showing as ways of reacting to their own families. They learned to fight for their right to party, etc. Family identifications, inheritances, land claims, individuality, etc - all this is being destructed and dismantled to produce better, more compliant, and less proprietary (of themselves) citizens. -VonKrankenhaus
  10. The deep significance of the placebo effect

Brian's point about biochemistry is a good one, because the effects of "the mind on the body", which is a large component of the "placebo effect", is possible because of the "biochemicals" called hormones. "Hormones are used to communicate between organs and tissues to regulate physiological and behavioral activities, such as digestion, metabolism, respiration, tissue function, sensory perception, sleep, excretion, lactation, stress, growth and development, movement, reproduction, and mood" (wikipedia) If any "healing" or other biological changes occur in response to anything, this is a hormonal response. -VonKrankenhaus

Re: ----- "I've been seriously considering ECT myself, and have been discussing it with my psychiatrist. Perhaps I will come back and comment after having had a series...." ----- Yes - if you have ECT, please come back (if you can find us) and let us know. And - no sarcasm - I do sincerely wish you to have full success and happiness. -VonKrankenhaus

Re: ----- "No really, there is a lot of respect for ECT in the industry and I have researched it enough not to discount it. It helps balance communication between right/left hemispheres and sort of 'resets' things. Its just gotten a bad rap." ----- I bet there is a lot of respect for ECT in the industry that makes money using it on people who hadn't responded conveniently to the other "treatments" they had recieved. Of course, the side effects are all symptoms of brain damage. Just because ECT is not mashing the brain like a pancake doesn't mean that real damage is not happening. And who do we trust to look for the damage and report it to us? The industry that did the ECT? Do they really understand consciousness? No. Do they even know how or why ECT even "works" to stop the inconvenient behaviors? They say no. "Despite decades of research, the exact mechanism of action of ECT remains elusive" (wikipedia) Basically, it's what they do to people in whom drugs didn't produce "results". They "bring out the Zapper and end that shit". I have not had ECT myself, but I have spent much time working with a number of people who have had them. They are damaged. Anyone could see this. Have you spent much, or any, time talking with people who have had this done to them? All this is, ECT, is a more "convenient" form of the same thinking behind lobotomy. It is not healing anything. It is not strengthening anything. It is disruptive and destructive. It stops behaviors, yes, but at great expense to the individual. -VonKrankenhaus
  13. Herd Mind or Enlightenemnt?

Re: ----- "I have recently been considering the concept of the herd mentality of humanity. Science has put forward the idea that this element exists as a leftover from our evolution from a herd species." ----- It's a "switcheroo" sort of mind trick that takes advantage of the fact that individuals and families were (and are) being minimized and disbanded, and new formations are pushed to replace them - citizen, consumers, and so forth. Public education, Radio, and TV were the focus of this effort, and these are where this idea has been propagated. It is almost impossible to govern and run a mass of people who are rugged individualists and/or have solid family identifications. So, after 12 years of primary brainwashing plus maybe 4 additional years of specialized brainwashing, plus all the hours and hours of "programming" in education and entertainment - is it any wonder a "herd" results? What were these people being fed? Cows. They were taught to drink the milk and eat the flesh of cows. Is it any wonder a "herd" results? One guy on a horse (media, authority), or a guy and a dog - that's all it takes to run a herd. We are each Infinity itself manifested on this Earth. Our Infinite Spiritual Memory, which is inside and all around us, can never fully accept these suggestions and stipulations. We see "family" redefined as two gay guys and a toaster, for example, and some of us don't fully believe it. So now there is a herd seeking "enlightenment". Having been taken so far off from real life and our real development, what else could result? Meanwhile, decades and centuries of control are achieved. -VonKrankenhaus

Re: ----- "Well, ECT, electroconvulsive therapy has shown to significantly help treat depression when nothing else worked." ----- So would hitting the patients over the head with a baseball bat. Re: ----- "Then send various electrical pulses through the solution, of various strengths, in order to flex the muscles of the body." ----- The fine and very very sophisticated way in which chemical and electrical energy and signals are processed by the body can be overwhelmed by artificial electrical fields. Getting used to an artificial electrical stimulation might impair the intricate natural mechanisms we have. And, generally, we do already live in a conductive fluid environment that is hooked up to many very large electrical generators. The results of this experiment on human beings thus far has been fairly horrible, in that the incidence of degenerative disease has risen to a fairly preposterous level unmatched by any previous known time period of human development. Some information on this is in the book "Dirty Electricity" by Samuel Milham, which details correspondences with installation of electrical power systems in the US to disease statistics. ----- "Better get rid of your washer and dryer while you are at it, and your indoor plumbing and your car." ----- Yes, I have done that quite some time ago. Now I'm using a computer again sometimes, but I gave those up too, for several years. And living in houses. And doctors and medicine. I do admire your desire to create a therapeutic device to help people, and posting about it here for opinions. And people do need some kind of help. But is electrifying them going to help, or is that actually one of the causes of the issues they now need help with? -VonKrankenhaus

Re: ----- "You need 400 days - not 100 - but 400 days of celibacy to turn your hair black." ----- This will not turn gray hair back. And using dark pigmented herbs internally is not much different than drinking hair dye - and it will not really work to change the color of the hair very much at all. But doing this is entirely possible. As is changing the eye color. I discovered how to do this with hair about 15-20 yrs ago, and what I discovered works well. It worked so well that with my hair turned to black again I noticed that people do not hold a door open for me anymore. They don't say "sir" anymore. They don't take me on sight to be as serious as with gray in the hair. So I go back and attain some more gray and then everything is fine again with doors and "sir". So now I only do this black hair if I am doing something special where looking like a blackhair is better. Doesn't take much time - no 100 or 400 days, and not making wife frown, nothing like that. And no "medicine" needed. Things like this are not difficult, and using this as a benchmark of neidan progress is to me ridiculous. And know that not my teachers really even knew how to do this, and they were very advanced - one making sparks like Chang guy in that video people saw, and much more, but they continually had to accept gray hair when even they didn't want it. Many even great teachers miss a large area of knowledge and are not able to keep real health or youth even when they want these things. Famous teachers today are no different. Still they get fat, get sick, have things happen they have no knowledge how to change, etc. But their systems and methods maybe great, and their practice very good otherwise. -VonKrankenhaus
  17. Letting go of Karma

Modern people seem to generally think of karma in psychological terms, such as thinking of good and bad results or outcomes or experiences. Some think of karma in terms of a wide ranging cause and effect - often factoring this to extend across lifetimes, etc. Some people see old text that state things like, for example, if they eat the meat of a cow, then they will be reborn as a cow 10,000 times, and so on. Scientists have a hard time with that stuff. I have always thought that karma is explained in YinYang thinking. Such that you cannot toss me a coin that only has one side. I must accept both sides if I catch the coin. In the example of cow meat, if we examine how long it takes for animal meat protein to be fully processed by our human bodies, we can see that blood plasma is replenished about every 7 days. Blood cells take maybe 3-4 months. And cells in various organs and other systems are said to replenish approximately every 7-8 years. These are physical changes of the type that scientists do measure. There are also vibrational effects, and these are less-studied. As physical forms metabolize, vibration or energy is released. This may include imprints of the experiences of the animals we have eaten and are metabolizing. Can we consider that we are "re-born" each day upon awakening from sleep? If so, and considering the above, the effects of eating the flesh of a cow could be interpreted, traditionally, to have an effect on us for 27 years (10,000 days). This is just a bit more than 3 times as long as it is said to generally take for many body cells to have regenerated. In Taoism it is said that 3 generates the 10,000 things. 3 is a number of "completion" in some systems of thought. What kind of effects? One is the difficulty of breaking down proteins assembled from plant materials by a cow to function as a cow. All animal life has been generated by vegetal life. The cow is eating grasses and making a cow. During the ice age, cows were used in northern areas as a sort of "middle-man" to obtain energy and structure from the kind of compact cold weather tundra and alpine plants that replaced grains and other plants during that time. Ruminants can eat and digest these, but humans have trouble with them. In breaking down the cow's cells by our digestive processes, we are exposed to energy patterns and structures (forms) that contribute and constitute "cow". These will be expressed. One way we express is via our behavior. Some will be metabolized, more or less "fueling" not only our expressions and actions, but also our own structure. It is our immune system which decides what is animal and what is human, and the process of going from animal to human takes more energy and time than the process of going from vegetal to human. So our immune systems change if we do this a lot, as has been done in the western countries. Generally, the change is to make the immune system less sensitive so as to be able to continue. One example is the adaptation to keep having milk long after weaning, and this is the milk of animals. What do we get if we continually breast-feed from another species even long after we wouldn't nurse from our own human mothers, such as well into adulthood? We get sick. This was a compensatory thing, for the ice age, where a cost-benefit assessment was made and something attempted out of desperation, to merely stay alive during that time. Not the way of humanity in general. Another effect is one that people can verify by experiment. Generally, if one eats vegetarian food excusively for some time, and then eats the flesh of an animal once, they often have dreams or nightmares right after doing so. Often, these dreams will have characteristics in them that relate more or less directly to what that animal was going through at the time of its death. Other vibrational patterns besides thoughts or experiences are also happening, and these are being released by our digestive and assimilation processes. We pick these up, feel them, and our organs respond to them. As a baby is gestating in the womb, it is going through a miniature of evolution on Earth. Whatever the mother eats on any given day may have effects that last, for the mother, many years (maybe 27 years as per above). The baby, however, is going through about 280 million years of evolution in 9 months. It will reach a miniature of hominid life at birth, and become like mankind when it stands and talks at around 1 year. Each day to the baby is like thousands of years of evolution in form. So these are some of my considerations regarding karma. I don't want to make this post too long, so I'll stop now - but I just wanted to toss some of these ideas into the discussion. Maybe I expand on it more later. -VonKrankenhaus
  18. The deep significance of the placebo effect

Re: ----- "But anyway, let's not get critical of big pharma because they are the vehicle of helping that we as a whole society create, believe in and therefore need." ----- That seems like a "placebo effect" right there. This "vehicle of helping" is the #1 cause of death right now. "We" did not just suddenly decide to believe - we were systematically educated and programmed for decades to do so. "We" did not create that industry, except as workers and consumers. Government programs and associated reimbursements drive or make possible this. It is a rigged game, with other possible modes constantly marginalized into doubt. And people believe in many things they do not need. Otherwise, controlling them with money would be very difficult. The guns would come out, and the whole thing made "too obvious". In my observation, the "placebo effect" happens because "matter" exists inside "mind". It may even be crude of us to merely think in terms of "placebo" vs "real" effects, because so much more than that kind of simple assumption of polarity is really what's going on. -VonKrankenhaus
  19. Re: ----- "Normally term "youthfulness" concerns the internal energy state of a person but not necessarily his or her appearance. I heard only that high level masters can return their age back but they have another goals and they rather concern about spirit than about a body" ----- Body is spirit, so I doubt that. In terms of retaining or re-attaining youthfulness in function and appearance - most sifus today have little idea how to actually do this, and their appearance shows this quite clearly. What their training does is that it is work that helps them stay in "somewhat" better condition than ordinary people (which is really what they are as well) - and even this is only obvious at all because most people today do little more than injure themselves by rote. Is this retaining of youthfulness of interest to people today? Much is possible, but would anyone actually do the things that would produce this result? It is possible to freely change much, given a reason to do so. One could change the shape of one's head, change the color of the eyes, stop disease processes, change thinking, expression - many things. Is this what people would like to do? -VonKrankenhaus
  20. Neidan: Refilling yuanjingqi, building the foundation

Re: ----- "I had a vegan diet and then cut out salt using Braggs amino acids instead." ----- Sorry if this seems just a bit out of topic: Just saw this little statement and had to comment: Braggs Liquid Aminos is often used as a "salt substitute" - but it is actually much saltier (about 2-3x) than Tamari or Shoyu (salty "soy sauce"). Salt is important to all other eating and activities because it is so condensed, and our bodies in our environment try to maintain a proportional relationship between salt, proteins, fats, carbohydrates, water, air, and vibration. Thus, salt intake affects (changes) our eating, drinking, breathing, and thinking to make balance. And for modern people, the bartenders know you will be drinking (and eating) more when they see you eating the salty pretzels they put on the bar. -VonKrankenhaus
  21. The Qi of Viruses

Bacteria are very primitive organisms, and are related to similar living (and dormant, and dead) organisms existing throughout the universe. I have read that a large amount of what is considered "space dust" is actually freeze-dried single celled organisms. "Fossils" attributed to single celled organisms have been seen in meteorites, and are postulated to exist on Mars and also in comets and all over the cosmos. Early in the development of Earth life, the atmosphere was very different from today. It was still clouded with various gases and particles such that the light of the Sun was the only starlight visible. This was the time of single celled organisms. As the atmosphere cleared and the light from other stars became visible, single celled organisms combined together into more complex organisms. Right now, the number of visible stars in the sky is said by some to be roughly equal to the number of cells in our body. Inside of our guts is like a replica of the primitive world. Similarly, our blood is like a replica of the primordial sea that we carry inside of us since our ancient transition from water to land. When complex organisms deteriorate, they break down into simpler forms and disband. The "germ theory" of disease basically sees these simpler forms and calls them the cause of the breakdown. This is like seeing maggots and flies on piles of manure and concluding that maggots and flies "caused" the piles of manure. Viruses are something else. They are chemical assemblies which are not strictly "alive", but are used by and interact with living cells. Viruses have been "made" in a lab using off-the-shelf chemicals. Viruses may be an agent of change, particularly environmental change. The attempt to kill viruses may be misguided. Killing all virus activity in the human or animal body, if such a thing could be accomplished, may result in inability to live and evolve. Understanding the energetics of microbes and viruses is possible. One of the best starts in this direction that I have seen in popular circulation is the book by Jeremy Narby "The Cosmic Serpent", which suggests that shamans experiencing contact with "other entities" are actually not tripping "out", but "in", and are actually contacting and experiencing microbial life in their own bodies. -VonKrankenhaus
  22. ---

Re: ----- "So when the universe "experiences itself", the experience is always spatial and temporal and personal. (?) This view might be closer to buddhism." ----- When the Universe experiences itself - this is what is happening when the infinite expansion of the Infinite Universe bumps into itself and creates "polarity". These polarities spiral together and create "phenomena", which are areas of such polarization that will eventually resolve and return to One. They are like illusions, and all made of the same "thing". What I see being discussed as consciousness looks more like personal ego. The ego is a temporary convenience that allows issues to be addressed as/for/by one "individual" thinking being. If it is cold and I feel cold but you do not, we do not act together to make me warm. What happens is that "I" feel "my own" coldness and "I" act to cover up with a blanket. We are the same thing, and all connected, but different manifestations. This is the difference between consciousness and ego. Going the other way, notice that the "environment" is also definitely involved in my being cold. My ego separates from that and develops a false but convenient "separatist" viewpoint as "me" and "environment", but in terms of consciousness the environment is completely implicated in my getting cold and doing something about it. So environment is a major part of "consciousness", but seems separate from it to "ego". -VonKrankenhaus
  23. How do we know what's yin and what's yang . Really.

I had just arrived here on TTB after several years offline and fairly removed from "society", and saw this thread. I think it's an important topic, and I was interested in posting about this - but it seems I arrived right in the middle of a flame war or idiot wind of some sort, and this thread was a "ground zero" of it. Interestingly, it became like writing on a rash that was flaring up. As someone interested in East-West synthesis and cooperation, and particularly in the modern application of traditional modes of thought to modern issues, seeing "Taomaster"s take on "Taoism" has been hilarious, revealing, retarded, fascinating, priceless, and a total waste of time. I realize that if everyone who posted were all to be made to take a shower together, this thread would have been an almost perfect representation of the goings-on in an american high-school. Excellent. And I appreciate the way the moderators have handled it. -VonKrankenhaus
  24. Mopai nei kung, there has to be an equivalent!

Re: ----- "to speak of it plainly is to invite argument from the mo pai fundamentalists." ----- "Mo pai fundamentalists"? Are these just people who saw the video? This is fascinating. I'd certainly like to know more about this phenomena. The skills demonstrated in the video are not that unusual, but I do find it very interesting that people would react to an old video in the way I'm seeing in this thread. -VonKrankenhaus
  25. Re: ----- "What are the people who benefit from semen retention long-term doing differently from those that run into problems after some period of time?" ----- My guess is that they are probably having sex and ejaculating. Just a guess. But many factors could have an effect. A person's intake of hormone interrupting chemicals, such as are in plastic food containers and plastic bottles, soaps, cosmetics, fertilizers, and pesticides, etc, can have an effect on sexual hormones and fertility. So can things like watching TV. Physical activity levels would have an effect on testosterone level. Volume and type of foods eaten will also have a large effect on hormone levels. Compensating for habitual dietary intake with exercises and postures is like a "one step forward, two steps back" proposition. There is not one part of anyone's body not made of food (excepting recent surgical insertions, etc). -VonKrankenhaus
