  3. Which books sit on your nightstand?

the search for the Panchen Lama and seven years in Tibet Gives a little insight in the history of Tibet from the second world war until about 2000. I found it a very worthwhile read, and made me understand why the Dalai Lamai may choose to not reincarnate or if he does not to be looked for. https://www.amazon.in/Seven-Years-Tibet-Cornerstone-Editions/dp/1585427438 https://www.amazon.com/Search-Panchen-Lama-Isabel-Hilton/dp/0393321673
  4. Is enlightenment really desirable?

thank you for coming back on your earlier statement. As a lot of problems that can befall people depression is multi-factorial, there's a clear genetically component ( and that is not the same as familial), high life stresses are a component ( there originates the emotional pain that people close up in their subconscious being) and the way the body is cared for and fed is of course a component. about the relation between smaller jaws and vitamin D, i found this book very interesting, some countries one cannot get in the sun enough, traditionally codlivers are eaten there ( and in copious amounts too) https://www.amazon.com/Nutrition-Physical-Degeneration-Weston-Price/dp/0916764206
  5. Is enlightenment really desirable?

having been through debilitating periods of clinical depression I do not agree with that. Depression is a state wherein people cannot endure their emotions and therefore cannot feel them anymore. It's not about feeling sad, that's a mistake made by both layman and professionals. The word depression is overused widely, the real condition of it is only recognized by those who have been through it and some gifted professionals. clearing it up means going through the painful memories that caused people to block up in that way, that is scary to do, the widely spread use of antidepressiva only makes it harder on the sufferers. just my two cents of course BES

could you find me that thread? please
  11. 玄牝之門The secret door

sure that makes sense, but I had never read such a concise text about it ( and I do not want to read longer ones, I'll stick to the brand I'm taught )
  12. 玄牝之門The secret door

I'm reading the search of the Panchen Lama at the moment painful reading about the way the Tibetian culture was killed of. It's good to hear that some of that esoteric knowledge is not lost and being translated now. It's a worthwhile read. https://www.amazon.com/Search-Panchen-Lama-Isabel-Hilton/dp/0393321673
  13. Tried 2 day detox, questions regarding side effects

good, now you know that there are indeed toxic substances in your body. Next is the choice whether you'll leave it at that or take he safe route mentioned by CT (sorry, i could not refrain from mentioning ...)
  14. 玄牝之門The secret door

thank you very much, i'll reread that tomorrow, it is a bit much for one sitting, but very interesting. (and as a side line: some time ago I read an article in which the drips were mentioned, now I've the beginning of an idea )

The Song of the Wanderer Nobody, nobody told meWhat nobody, nobody knowsBut now I know where the rainbow endsI know where there growsA Tree, that’s called the Tree of LifeI know where there flowsThe river of All-ForgottenessAnd where the lotus blowsAnd I, I’ve trodden the forestWhere, in flames of gold and rose,To burn and then arise againThe Phoenix goes.Nobody, nobody told meWhat nobody, nobody knowsHide thy face in a veil of lightPut on thy silver shoesThou art the stranger I know bestThou art the sweet heart, whoCame from the land between Wake and DreamCold with the morning dew. well, it's all your process, but some painkillers are messing up the functions of the liver. Paracetamol is not as innocent as most people think it is. The cause of pain in the muscles can be an overload of ' gunk' in the body. You need the liver to clear this out, and paracetamol influences this process, lessening it, so it may even be adding to your pain. but then you may be using something else as painkiller. In my experience it is in general better to endure the pain, even though it can be tough.

ah, but would it not be nice to walk that gold brick road... but not for CT anymore, I remember the bedtime reads, it'll pass mister, and there comes the day that you'll miss them I remember when my sonny told me: Mum, can i read myself, then I can read more book then when you read aloud. ( nighttime reads where ( mostly) strictly for one quarter of an hour. and then I felt like...oh, i'm not needed anymore, i'll miss this, the cozy being together, the stepup to rest and night and sleep, the remarks about the day etc.

  20. 玄牝之門The secret door

I do not regard CT as a teacher, but he does seem to act as a channel of his lineage. His unending thread about enlightenment is unique in that regard. Every post in it could be enough to er...what you call ' realize'. An ( almost) daily 'nudge' for me It's that way baby I think he regards himself as a student, as, btw my daoist teacher does. Further I want to thank Awaken for this thread, even though it is derailing now. She talks about a subject that gathers interest, but is very hard to talk about. Not only because of the inherent difficulty of talking about something that most people have not experienced. But also because her command of the English language is not as good as she would wish. I miss people helping her with that because I regard her as a valuable member here. About the secret door, the way she talks about it touches how I do experience it. My sifu though, time and again tells his students, do not talk about it, just do your training and everything will become clear, your questions will be answered by training, not by asking answers from me. He also warns against teaching before one is ripe for that, i begin to see the wisdom in that. Just as I begin to see the wisdom of not mixing up concepts from different traditions, even though at the core, probably most ' religions' talk about the same thing. that does not mean that those concepts can be translated in each other. after the cleaning up of blockages, indeed comes another phase, an interesting one edit: typos

hm, I prefer the calm wisdom of CT with the strength of a lineage behind it. Through him I learn much, the wisdom from his teachers, it sustains me through hard times. but then, to each her own
