be the reason someone believes in the goodness of people. ( found on twitter ) -
oh yes, I did have deja vu. And it's indeed a strange phenomna, just as you describe. psychologists say it is some trick of the brain, I once read about there theories. But to me...it's like they try to explain something that they have no knowledge of. just let it be. A tree is a wonder and a bird and a rolling sea everything we meet is a wonder, but were some sort of used to those wonders. Maybe deja vu is like siddhi's, something that feels strange, but not to become overmuch intrigued by.

welcome to the bums. have you tried stopping gluten and dairy? For some people that is helpful. also keep under your ( physical/mental) possibilities. Many people think you can train back your health, but for me the reality is that when I do more than I can, all symptoms come back hard. BES -
Is there an ignore function? Could there be?
blue eyed snake replied to soaring crane's topic in Forum and Tech Support
the ignore-button is a wonderful method, but when someone on your ignore list chooses to react on a post of yours... I then feel the need to answer...out of politeness but getting me into a discussion with someone that I'd prefer to ignore. ah well, just like real life -
Some mental problems are Hardware, not Software
blue eyed snake replied to thelerner's topic in Healthy Bums
thanks the Lerner, may I add some things.. regarding willpower, this is closely related to the dopaminergic system, when that is out of whack, willpower becomes compromised. furthermore, regarding the dopaminergic system, You write ( or this author writes) ***Dopamine is the chemical of motivation, saliency, drive, and stimulation. It is the chemical that both cocaine and Ritalin stimulate in the brain*** It's called a dopaminergic system, not for naught. In fact what cocaine/ritalin and likewise do is fiddling around with the receptors from dopamine, thereby triggering the system in "thinking" there is an abundance of dopamine. In that way eventually a ( further) downregulating of the receptors will happen, getting the system even further out of whack. Contrary to what many people seem to believe, people with for instance ADHD do not have a shortage of dopamine, compared to the norm they are even rather high in dopamine. but the receptors are downregulated, therefore the neuromessage of the dopamine does not come through. Simply said, he use of cocain/ ritalin wil, get your dopaminergic system further out of balance, thereby diminishing lust for life and willpower. same goes for the other neurotransmitters you mention, there all systems and the being out of balance can be both in the amount of the neurotransmitter and in the quantity and quality of the receptors ( when I remember well, mostly the latter). Those two are influencing each other seeking for a balance. Furthermore the different neurotransmitters are also part of intricate feedbacksystems with each other and 'up' with the endorfinic system, 'down' with hormones etc. Its an amazing field of slowly growing knowledge. still, love your post, these are intriguing subjects and imho, closely related to 'practice' love BES- 18 replies

everybody has his own quality, we need them all. When I need a laugh I will read some of your stuff (even though you have your own wisdom too, a different sort than that of CT, but imho just as worthy) Bes -

Hi Secret Grotto, I do not think you're complaining about nothing, maybe ( but just maybe, i do not know you at all) you are given to be ' strong' always, sort of anxious that people think you're complaining/whining. If that should be the case you might look at the way you handle yourself, do you allow yourself to complain about your ailments, to take them serious, do you love yourself, even though you might feel that your'e not worth it? something like that. I would that I could give you answers but i can't, suffering from a ' vague' long-term illness myself I find that it is a sort of balancing act, on the one hand to settle in with the symptoms, i mean, to accept them for what they are, without getting emotional about them. On the other hand to actively seek for a solution, not to give up on the idea that you can get well again. Question for you, you write that the use of codliveroil was bad for your lungs, among other things I have lungproblems too, could you explain to me what is the issue with lung-problems and cod liver oil?

after decennia rereading journey to ixtlan, from Castaneda -
twice in my life I've seen the little people they were about knee high, 'dressed' in what nature at that place gave them. ( these two sightings were years apart and totally different places) leaves and grasses etc. Their skin looked sort of brownish and gnarled. I've no idea who they are but felt honored in both occasions.

maybe I am, sort of by default yesterday i was looking through an old cardboardbox with those things from the past that you keep taking with you...looking for something. I found a handwritten copy of the TTC, had totally forgotten about it. Judging from the handwriting, I was probably about 16 years old when I wrote it. Nice find

Stretching for mobility, flexibility, wellbeing
blue eyed snake replied to dust's topic in Healthy Bums
this is a nice thread i remember as a child and teenager I preferred walking barefoot and sitting in halflotus and squat. i had many problems with it, the schoolteachers thought i behaved abnormally, me sitting in half lotus at my little desk and then forgetting my shoes when we got out of the classroom. and I remember well how exasperated my mum could be when my shoes had 'vanished' again- 124 replies

lotta recognition here... I agree totally with taomeows remark about gluten and dairy, and add all soyproducts and spinach to it. in many people they trigger the same unwanted cascade of ' vague' illness. oats is a nogo too, almost always contaminated with gluten, made a hell of a difference when I stopped eating it. when your gut cannot handle raw veggies ( as mine) I would not try juicing, I go for soups. the cooking does diminish the vitamincontent but on the other hand it makes it much easier to digest for your compromised gut. I've been living on thick, pureed soups for months. if fiber-content then still causes problems you might try to add your fresh juice to the soup and then bring to the boil again. that gives a lot more nutrients to your soup without the fiber and without the rawness. Beetjuice, i did not know what TM wrote but thank her heartily, it agrees with my intuition. If you can handle fermented foods ( not everybody can, there is a good theoretical explanation for it but I'm sorry to say I've forgotten it and even when I could find the source it be in dutch) you could try to make fermented beetjuice. recepy to be found on the internet. it's easy really, the only glitch is to find a place in your home that has the right temperature. You wash the beets, but not too thoroughly, you want the dirt-bacteria to flourish, ( like when you were a child, sucking your bleeding finger and at the same time sucking up some earthy bacteria :-) Make a jar with lukewarm water, add salt, some applevinegar, add the cutup beets, some garlic glove cut in two and some ginger. leave for some days. If it works you get a nice tasty red liquid to be drunk with the meals. further to aid your gutlining I'd advise to drink broth, chicken/calve/bone as long as it gives a nice gelling effect. You can also buy gelatine http://eu.iherb.com/Great-Lakes-Gelatin-Co-Beef-Hide-Gelatin-Collagen-Joint-Care-Unflavored-16-oz-454-g/52775 For probiotics i've used this one, it's reasonably priced, high dosed ( i used only half and later only quarter capsules). But the quality is high, they use well researched bacterial strains that are guaranteed to reach the gut. http://eu.iherb.com/California-Gold-Nutrition-LactoBif-Probiotics-5-Billion-CFU-10-Veggie-Caps/64008 (in the 'try and save ' ) take good care of yourself, love BES edit, regarding fiber, i find that i can handle soluble fiber but too much not-soluble fiber gives problems, look up a list somewhere and see whether it rings a bell. Also I wonder about using citrus-fruit, it's pretty sharp, my gut does not like it.
