  1. How Not To Be Negative

All that you say may be true for you, one does not have to be attached to it. The world that you see merely a reflection of your inner self at a certain point in time. " I don't want to be negative" One might ask who or what is the "I" that says to itself it doesn't want to be, but feels "it" is. If one engages in activities that involve life and death they often find the "it " becomes one with a present that has no positive or negative about it.
  2. A friend of mine and member here wrote a book that touches on some of this.
  3. Did he? "The highest goodness resembles water Water greatly benefits myriad things without contention It stays in places that people dislike Therefore it is similar to the Tao " it's very easy for people to talk about things without being tested on what they talk about. . It's very easy to talk of spirituality in a church or Temple, less so "Laying low, seeking out the poorer quarters. Where the ragged people go. Looking for the places Only they would know" . I work with many people who say they practice taiji. They claim to be soft and understand emptiness. When put to the test, one quickly learns whether one is truly empty or understands what softness means. . Understand the focus of this site is not politics. Don't understand why the talking about it, it's not a good way of demonstrating what much of this site is about real time. If not as an example to others, as a way of testing ones self.

  9. Dantien Controlling Limbs

This teacher talks about some of the things you've mentioned and others have posted , instead of thinking dantien control one might think about unification as in a central point from which movement arises from expressed through at the body. Every point on the body can be said to have a dantien...

Its a failure of many in our gov to understand tech. In some ways this is good in others bad. Trump, working in and with a media environment as Reagan, understood this very well. Although Reagan, didn't have to contend with the tech of this time...Trump did and does. Even Obama, didn't get the tech, fumbled the roll out of his health care on the net. HRC tried to hide and relied on others to help,,not understanding that nothing is really hidden only not revealed. This trend will get worse, with the gov trying to control it with in itself. Unfortunately the policies used to control this are not enforced holding those accountable who violate them... yet. Having held a secret clearance in the military...people in the military get in trouble all the time for things that those in office are not held to the same standards. This happened a while back... "A US Navy sailor was sentenced on Friday to a year in prison for taking photos of classified areas inside a nuclear attack submarine while it was in port in Connecticut." https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2016/aug/20/us-navy-sailor-jailed-for-taking-photos-of-classified-areas-of-nuclear-submarine
  11. U.S. Law and Policy

It seems my own interpretation of what he meant was in error however I still stand by the idea. While he may have been a good general and a warrior as a man he had and acted beliefs that many would not accept nor condon today. The nation at that time didn't need a good man but it needed a good warrior and general. Which he was... In time I believe, Trump will be seen as the right man, for the right time, in the right job..
  12. U.S. Law and Policy

The quote itself is being misinterpreted. The " stupidity of man" refers to the fact that one still needs walls to inforce borders and boundaries, not that they are ineffective or not needed. War could also be said due to the stupidity of man but at this point it's still necessary. Notice it's being said one who's job is war. I feel many missed the point of the border wall as it reflects the will and intent. Up until this time both have been very unclear and used as a propaganda tool until one is in office. Notice that most presidents once they're in office will tend to say the same things for the same reasons. The last president was no exception, the exception was the way the Press recorded and handled his actions. Much of the same actions taken now are reported in a totally different way that supports a narrative. It's quite dangerous as in those that support the narrative of open borders are not the ones who have to deal with the results. It's dangerous because those claiming freedom of press / speech, are at the same time suppressing the same freedoms for others that they claim. The ones that make this possible the tech companies are also on a path that will eventually lead them to being regulated and controled. interesting enough the same companies developed technologies for other countries that allow them to regulate and control their own networks in a way that would not be allowed in the US.
  13. And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for. thee that one of thy members should perish, and. not that thy whole body should be cast into hell." The outer way, not the inner way, that most claim to practice. Just find it strange that people ask for things outside of themselves to control what they cannot control inside themselves. attachment non-attachment. . Easy to talk about and discuss until it's really put to the test. Civility Easy to display as long as one is in agreement with the other. Discourse The sharing of information or viewpoints even if one does not agree with them, it can serve as a tool to understand what the disagreement is really about. When it becomes about winning, attachment, in-person conversation usually stops on the internet others step in to take control I've mentioned this before one of the things I enjoyed about the thread was a discourse among those within the thread. More so because the members on this site practicing internal cultivations, had a chance to display, test, and showcase their own inner development real time. Found their reactions interesting , observing my own reactions to theirs, a good self testing tool.
  14. Interested on a site that most members claim to practice some form of self-cultivation. What they cannot control from the inside they ask for others to controll from the outside. One way of doing it, apparently done. ".
  15. Universal Basic Income is not Socialism

Very true but it's not a must. Once it's stopped and people understand they tend to get with the program. Might want to study what happened to the Black culture within the US when some of the same social reforms mentioned came out.
  16. Universal Basic Income is not Socialism

They don't seem to understand that in doing so they will drive down wages, because as is often the case they will work for less. The problem really is one of reproduction. It's not that there is not enough jobs it's that there are too many people with no skills who cannot do the jobs that are in demand. They tend to take the lower skill jobs, affecting wage growth and limiting those doing the jobs from useing them as a stepping stone for higher skill jobs In native cultures this is solved by the fact that if you can't hunt you don't eat. It's only a modern cultures the thought is that those who don't hunt should eat, more inventive ways are found to allow them to do so.
  17. What is spirituality

who has a crude vicious hunting, cunning mind? when has this mind been used,,,has anyone here experienced this mind. It might be said the problem is that most have not experienced this mind, trying to evolve from an illusion of what they never experienced.
  18. What is spirituality

The understanding of self, by the self, in pursuit of the understanding of self.. Any practice that can lead one to this, can be said to be spiritual in nature. Whether one can be said to be spiritual or not, might be said to be how well they are in tune with what their own inner practice is really about. Not all people who practice spiritual practices are spiritual. Not all practices are spiritual. For those awakened to it. Anything they do is spiritual.
