There is a time limit 90 days that one must have served before one can act as an intern appointment. I didn't see a time limit for how long an intern appointment can be used. Brilliant move it allows him to a point someone of his choosing without going through the process well forcing them to use the process for someone that he chooses. Either way, they have to deal with someone of his choice. It's called being the president, exercising leadership.

Wow,,,,I wonder what happens when other things give off a "noxious smell" what then where does it stop.... would it not be better to understand that smell and everything else exist in ones mind. What you mention sounds like a western view point.... "And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell." Matthew 5:29 Some might argue or say that this is a site dedicated to eastern spirituality by asking for those to control what some can not control ie "themselves' they'er bringing a western view point that is out of place here....not that I mind but others might.... please note: do not cut off your nose, because of the smell.... understand the smell is with in you.... Edited: for clarity

Isn't this the essence of the dao. How will this change the basic nature of here...isn't the dao like water flowing into all places lakes and sewers and yet keeping its true nature. Learning is good, I find being is better.... How better to demonstrate what is learned by engaging with those whom one does not agree with, to see if what is learned is really real....what is one learning if not this. Did buddha shut out those he didn't agree with, did jesus not wash the sores of the unclean.. Trying to understand how a place is taken over by those who only interact in one part of it, allowing for others to interact in other parts.. yes enjoy life, the day, here is always here....in the moment one engages with it, gone when one is not... Seems like a choice....

It would be normal for those that felt that way to seek other forums......which is what most do. you speak of "regret" where does this regret arise from.... a past that no longer exist, extended to present that is not reality , wishing for a future that hasn't happened.

The recent appointment of an interim AG puts the constitution to the test https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2018/11/10/klukowski-the-legal-case-for-matthew-whitakers-appointment-as-acting-attorney-general/ Is he acting within the constitution or not?

Wasn't what my post responded to nor what was said. Totally agree about participation,,,I do note a theme that seems to be being repeated lately concerning threads that those posting about do not participate in feeling it some how changes the nature of this site. Lots of threads here I can't relate to because in some aspects they'er to specialized or speak to things I dont find interesting. Would not think of questioning them understanding that for some they have an interest in or serve a function.

This seems to be a recurring theme on many threads. Questioning the spirit of the site and those who participate in certain discussions that seem to generate more interest than others. The obvious answer to make discussions of their own directing , promoting or generating the interest that they feel is being directed in other areas. I for one enjoy the discussions with people on a site such as this because of their spiritual backgrounds, and inner understanding that allow for conversations that normally don't occur on other sites with the same depth, openness, and intuition. Actually you should be honest it's you. You are the only one that is keeping you from participating however you want to participate. You're asking others to do what you can't do, don't want to, or unable to, for yourself. That is to control something outside yourself that you should be able to filter within yourself. On a site dedicated to Spiritual Development and understanding it would seem that those places one feels uncomfortable in would be the most productive places to participate in. Allowing one to work on it.

A War story. Had a Satanist in my platoon. On his dog tags under religion it said Satanist. His squad leader came to me one day and asked me to come up to his room to look at some things. Black candles, upside-down cross on his wall Locker. It was starting to freak his roommates out. It was reported by his roommates that guy would go up on the roof and do some type of rituals late at night. This guy had blue eyes that kind of radiated as he spoke. Strange Vibe about him. I the platoon Sgt and his squad leader had a meeting with him. We asked him if he could put those things in his wall locker it was disturbing his roommates. He smiled and said yes. He then asked me about if something happened that he would have no way of knowing had happened. It did but I told him no, we both laughed. the guy was pretty strange, not a bad soldier , it would be interesting to know what happened to him after he moved on from our unit. Satanist, seems like it can't be a good ending, who knows.

The thing is that what they intended even from back then never totally worked as intended but did work just enough in spite of itself....What they faced then, we face now... The main difference is technology allows things to happen at much faster pace...

Totally agree. Please let us know when you quit your job. And when another country comes to rule or whatever then some might understand what the military industrial complex is about. The whole United States could be referred to as a military industrial complex.

is spain close enough?

It's called a narrative or myth.

If you look at other European countries notably Sweden this is not accidental but by design. It's the limit the information that most would use to logically draw a conclusion about what's happening. It's not good. They have basically destroyed their cultures.

"Words are for meaning: when you've got the meaning, you can forget the words. Where can I find someone who's forgotten words so I can have a word with him?..." Well, there are the " the doaist bum's" at lest one of them might have something to say about it.

The tendency to think people of old were dumb

When virtual reality matures and the prices come down. It will be a real problem. -

Its not a new discovery. Not really correct.... what they talk about is the way they use this in what ever discipline they practice that has yet to be validated out side of the practices they practice. For example in the taiji world, fascia has come to be one of the new buzz words in attempting to explain the how, and why it works.. -

It might be better to draw a distinction between wisdom , understanding and knowledge. With wisdom one gains understanding of what to do with knowledge. It might be fair to say in today's time we have more understanding and knowledge then ancestors of the past. we don't seem to have done much in gaining the wisdom to understand how to best put it to use. Which depending on one's viewpoint might make the ancestors of the past seem more wise or less. There is a fiction that I note about native peoples of the past and their relationship with the world they lived in. In another thread, I attempted to show that what they did was not much different then what are called First World peoples did or do today. The only difference is the technology. The problems of today are tied to those of the past, brought forth into the present. -

Humans are considered tripartite beings. In most belief systems it's expressed in many different ways. I feel with the Advent of modern technology, the inner parts are able to express themselves in a way that they could only do in the past with a lot of training and discipline. The problem of course being that without this training and discipline there is no real understanding or control. It's not a synergistic whole. -

The reverse is also true for some feeling those of the past had more wisdom than those of today. They look for answers from the past ignoring the present, trying to understand the future. -
