I don't really have a problem with the social media giant's per se. I do feel that they have become monopolies as such they are a problem due to being monopolies. As I understand it they claim to be free and open formats when in fact they actually are not. Not being open formats puts them in the same legal constraints as news, or authoried media. Ie. They can be held liable for what is printed or allowed on their sites

Sounds like you need to get into some type of meditative practice to find yourself and regain control of your life. Why do people always talk about so many when actually it's themselves. Always find this interesting how people want others to change for things that affect them. Some talk about climate change enjoying the benefits of what they call Western technology wanting everybody to go back to living like primitive peoples of long ago. something they never seem to do but do like posting about how others should do it.
-
Using western technology to do so ya I guess makes sense mmm no internet here,,,, why not live by what you promote,,,,just say "later" and go out to live with them.

China and 2020 "China's Strategy Against Trump and America: Trade War, Huawei, 5G—Gen. Robert Spalding" Interesting being able to enforce its ideology through technology, makes it a more clear as to why the US considers 5g a no go zone for Chinese products....

"So that's been my life. How about your life?" You you post a lot on the internet. One would think that you would not want to use the technology that you complain and post about, to post about it. Those who often complain about the technology of the West are often the ones who most benefit by it.

Interesting, One should note the japanese and koreans dont seem to share this feeling...Toyota , nissan was the first to come out with the puris and other electric vec....would be good to know the technical reasons for someone feeling it was a bad idea.

true, but it does have to do with the true cost of things. Used to work in the solar industry installing, maintaining and fixing tools used in making solar cells...so far the efficiency of solar cells as I know has not made them very cost effective yet... Its the same with electric cars..... Personally I wish they would have continued with fuel cell technologies https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a15345416/8-things-you-must-know-before-buying-a-fuel-cell-vehicle/ https://electrek.co/2019/06/11/hydrogen-station-explodes-toyota-halts-sales-fuel-cell-cars/ gas stations have also exploded,....the tech is there,,,and is being used in other countries

Great news we now know but the Russians had nothing to do with what happened during the 2016 elections. "Friday on CNN’s “New Day” 2020 presidential hopeful, former Vice President Joe Biden said Russia would not have gotten away with interfering in an election under his or President Barack Obama’s watch." Since since the Russians wouldn't get away with it and must mean the administration itself tried to interfere with the 2016 election.

This can be applied this to what will happen to electric usage. " Consumers and businesses responded by reducing water consumption an average of 22 percent statewide from June 2015 to January 2017. Now their reward will be higher water rates. Although California’s governor, Jerry Brown, officially declared an end to the state’s drought emergency last month, Local water agencies are planning major rate increases to make up for the fact that they are selling a lot less water than they used to." As people use less, either through conservation or more efficient means the price per usage will increase through taxes.

Leaving the rat race for more cheaper, more graceful living.

"The word used by military people to describe the unique structure of military culture is "camaraderie." " It's called es·prit de corps This is built by destroying all past ties with society, instilled by sharing hardships, enduring shared pain, sacrificing for the greater whole of the group. Which is antithetical to what is called multiculturalism, that many seem to want to go back to. The French foreign legion is a good example. Where people all over once accepted become part of the legionnaires, in mind body and spirit. -

Interesting, while I can relate as someone who's adopted another culture, born and raised in SF. I never hung out with the expats in the places I lived overseas. Peferring to blend in with the locals if not physically, more spiritually ,mentally, resonating with the same vibe. Becoming invisible. Yes the city SF has changed a lot , so much so I no longer feel a desire to go back except to visit family. In the places I lived overseas they control who lives there very strictly. Either through family or job one must have the right Visa in order to stay there. In this sense it's very temporary as is life. For many expats they may feel where they live is home, until it comes time when it is not . Unlike the US there are no sanctuary cities. Or sympathetic people willing to break the law so that one may remain. One is and will always be a foreigner. Of course in places like China, Iran, and maybe a few others one's ethnicity is the deciding factor. In China all ethnic Chinese are considered to be part of China no matter where they live. -
A little dark humor " Hillary has 3 dreams that she was elected president... The first night George Washington comes to her. She asks; him; "how can I best serve the American people"? Washington replies" "Never tell a lie". To which Hillary says; "I cant do that" ! The second night Thomas Jefferson comes to her and she asks him; How can I best serve the American people"? Jefferson replies;"Never Rip Off the American people". To which Hillary says; "I cant do that" ! The third night Abraham Lincoln comes to her and she asks him; How can I best serve the American people" ? Abraham Lincoln replies; "GO TO THE THEATER" !.........."

Due to population fix or reduce it most if not all problems go away... nuclear is the way to go...... As far as the "maybe's " once the electric vec. reach a certain point or the gas based cars continue to improve which they will and are CA will change the tax just a matter of time..

ya might want to think on it...although they are cool cars...used to live and work in the same area https://www.edmunds.com/fuel-economy/the-true-cost-of-powering-an-electric-car.html At some point they will have to figure out a way to pay for upkeep of new and existing road ways... no free lunches...
-
Heres the problem... The same thing is happening with the electric grid. As efficiency rises the cost of maintaining the infrastructure still has to be somehow maintained https://www.latimes.com/business/la-fi-rooftop-solar-power-20160128-story.html

One might want to read what the US did to the DPRK during the war... Yes it was war, they suffered greatly...lot of things to overcome... Watched the clip a couple of times,,,some of you may not really see the implications This was given to the dprk at their first meeting..... "the past doesn't have to be the future"
