"they're just kids" A reply I was given when I mentioned to one of the teachers aides while practicing out and Golden Gate Park that one of their kids was wearing the American flag and dragging it around on the ground. I asked him if they taught about those who sacrificed and what was done in order for the freedoms the kids have to be able to do that. The reply "they're just kids" They look to be in junior high school. At some point those kids will be running parts of the government they may even become president. When and where do they learn to respect themselves, honor the traditions of the country that they live in, and understand the sacrifices made for them to do so. Of course maybe I overreacted after all "they're just kids"
