While it sounds good in some States like California the renter actually has more rights than the landlord. It may be a lot of trouble getting the renter to move out if it doesn't work out. The state is also trying to find a way to tax the income. Have some family members who had bad experience s doing this.

and then there is this. " Under federal law, it is illegal to possess, use, buy, sell, or cultivate marijuana in all United States jurisdictions, since the Controlled Substances Act of 1970 classifies marijuana as a Schedule I drug, claiming it has a high potential for abuse and has no acceptable medical use. Despite this federal prohibition, some state and local governments have established laws attempting to decriminalize cannabis, which has reduced the number of "simple possession" offenders sent to jail, since federal enforcement agents rarely target individuals directly for such relatively minor offenses. Other state and local governments ask law enforcement agencies to limit enforcement of drug laws with respect to cannabis. However, under the Supremacy Clause of the United States Constitution, federal law preempts conflicting state and local laws. In most cases, the absence of a state law does not present a preemption conflict with a federal law. The federal government has criminalized marijuana under the Interstate Commerce Clause, and the application of these laws to intrastate commerce were addressed squarely by the United States Supreme Court in Gonzales v. Raich, 352 F. 3d 1222 in 2005." Change the law if one does not like it, within the process. If anyone feels the states are acting in their best interest, don't know what to say...for them its just another revenue stream. Just as with the illegal aliens, DACA and all the rest, votes to stay in power or money to keep the power......There's a process that things can be and should be changed by... Thank you mr Obama, as in the Trump thread is responsible for a lot of things going on now...Hard to say if the US can recover...maybe, maybe not. note to rails: this is response to something directed towards me....If its not directed towards me I wont post on this thread.

It has nothing to do with what you've noted. It does have to do with rule of law...Its like sanctuary cites, states. At one time some states still wanted to practice segregation which was illegal under federal law.. I guess you'd be for it it right? states being laboratories of democracy and all. What happens which is happening when one administration tacitly ignores the law with out changing it, and another administration decides to enforce the law.. The point being is to change the law.... "Despite federal prohibition, the Obama administration took a relaxed approach to marijuana, generally letting states do as they wish as long as they met certain criteria (such as not letting legal pot fall into kids' hands or cross state lines). But the Trump administration has taken a tougher line, allowing federal prosecutors to crack down on marijuana even in states where it's legal — which could let federal law enforcement shut down state-legal pot businesses." " Since the 1930s, federal law has declared the use, sale or distribution of marijuana illegal. Current federal drug laws are contained in the Controlled Substances Act (CSA). The CSA classifies and regulates illegal drugs, and places listed drugs on a schedule according to their medicinal value and potential for abuse. Under the CSA, marijuana is a Schedule I controlled substance. This designation is reserved for drugs that have a high potential for abuse, lack any medical value and can’t be safely prescribed. Anyone growing, marketing or distributing marijuana is likely violating multiple federal laws."

"Jackie Levin persists in creating a toxic and demeaning environment, and Christine Cataldi enables and reinforces it. Amendments to their behavior since we last spoke have been marginal, patently cosmetic, and superficially employed clearly in order to tell themselves – and perhaps you – they are doing what have been told to do to ‘make nice.’ The antagonism remains. Just last week, when I provided a constructive suggestion (to correct a mistake Jackie had made, but didn’t want to admit), she called me a ‘fucking whiner.’ http://www.breitbart.com/big-journalism/2018/01/20/report-male-writer-fired-from-megyn-kelly-today-after-complaining-about-toxic-bullying/ Of course "he" gets fired, nothing much is said. Many will say he should "man up" but they wont say she should stop being a "bit-h" "The working environment on Megyn Kelly Today is completely toxic. It is hypocritical that a show that has positioned itself as a safe place for those who are victims, has staff that feel like they are being harassed and abused." "Nevertheless, NBC still refuses to hire an outside firm to come in to investigate its workplace behavior. The far-left network is committed to investigating itself." Kinda sounds like the government brought to you by "thank you mr obama" for the last 8 yrs.. No worries currently being corrected by team trump......takes a little time..
