  1. Is Manny Pacquiao awakened to some degree?

Q: Manny why are you fighting? A: For my country, for God, for my race's pride, to help the children. Q: May, way are you fighting? A: For the money. Which answer is more enlightened. lmaooo.
  2. Magick is Psychology

Check this out, there are objective beings in objective worlds that we cannot see. It's literally that simple.
  3. I don't think it has to be, but it could be.
  4. Reading through this thread the following allegory comes to mind: A man from the country seeks the law and wishes to gain entry to the law through an open doorway, but the doorkeeper tells the man that he cannot go through at the present time. The man asks if he can ever go through, and the doorkeeper says that it is possible but "not just yet" ("jetzt aber nicht"). The man waits by the door for years, bribing the doorkeeper with everything he has. The doorkeeper accepts the bribes, but tells the man that he accepts them "so that you do not think you have failed to do anything." The man does not attempt to murder or hurt the doorkeeper to gain the law, but waits at the door until he is about to die. Right before his death, he asks the doorkeeper why even though everyone seeks the law, no one else has come in all the years. The doorkeeper answers "No one else could ever be admitted here, since this gate was made only for you. I am now going to shut it." before the law by kafka http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Before_the_Law
  5. Is faith an illusion of the mind?

I always loved that quote, I believe from Hebrews? Is that it is intrepreted by both Fundamentalists and Atheists in the exact opposite way of what it is saying.
  6. Magick is Psychology

    So true my friend.
  7. Magick is Psychology

Never a good idea, like all things in life, if you want a job done right, do it yourself. Likewise, my mom told me never to let strangers in the house.
  8. Magick is Psychology

Did you even read what he posted? I mean this in all sincerity, are you on medication of some sort?
  9. Magick is Psychology

I guess thats one of the results of internalizing everything. Lot's of pressure I would imagine.
  10. Magick is Psychology

The question is, why do you care? There are explanantions, but you would not accept them because they do not qualify as mainstram science. It's sounds like you have other issues to work out until you dabble with what might really send you over the the cliff.
  11. Magick is Psychology

For the neophyte that is the benefit of qabalah, tarot, jungian psych etc., a compartamentalizing of the workings of the mind, dissolving and coagulating these distinct parts as needed. But this is not what I would call magick, nothing the OP or really anyone here has said is really magick, even within occult schools there is little disitinction between what can best be called active imagination, pathworking and full blown, 'holy sh1t, I'm no longer in my physical body, there it is on the couch, now what!?!?!' - This is magick, this is why excercises like the middle pillar or those of the secret of the golden flower are important, you are building an actual vehicle to operate on these levels of being - this is no longer subjective, you may even run into your next door neighbor, perhaps he is dreaming of your wife and there he is in the bedroom - what is the secret of lab alchemy, it is working in your lab, on physcial substances but on the etheric level, what is the secret of ascension, it is rising on the planes and willfully controling the destination and outcome of the outing, etc, obviously in regards to black magick you can see how dangerous this power, willfully controlled, can be. Indeed, the image of the witch on the broomstick...and the solution, the redemption of matter by the Light, the Shin, the transformation of the tetragramton into the pentagramton, YHShVH. What is it, "For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms." My suspicions based on experience is this is very much true, but that is neither here nor there.
  12. Magick is Psychology

    Fair enoguh.
  13. Magick is Psychology

Once you start working with the lvx and even more so, once the lvx starts working on you, you will realize how much bigger the mysteries are than going to a clinic for a visit with a headshrink.
  14. where to start ?

Central Asian shamanism probably has more in common with what you're looking for than any reconstructed celtic systems, all these reconsructed movements are heavily influenced by the GD even if they hide it. Also, if it makes you feel any less anti-semitic, a lot of kabbalah seems to be cribbed from Zoroastrian, Chaldean, Phoenician, Egyptian and Greek.
  15. Telepathy

It's pretty common during meditation troll.
  16. Rent a Foreigner in China

Well done mini doc by NY Times; I bounced between laugh out loud and downright sad throughout the 7 minutes. http://www.nytimes.com/2015/04/28/opinion/rent-a-foreigner-in-china.html?action=click&contentCollection=U.S.&module=MostEmailed&version=Full&region=Marginalia&src=me&pgtype=article
  17. where to start ?

You did not mention QBL but I'm assuming that is included by default? If so, this, in my opinion, is still the best kabbalah site on the net: http://www.digital-brilliance.com/ Mr. Low's book on the subject is not only free but beats the majority of titles available on Amazon: http://www.digital-brilliance.com/contributed/nok/index.php An excellent video overview of the Tree of Life by Low: Bill Heidrick's document on Abramelin is also highly recommended: http://www.digital-brilliance.com/contributed/index.php Notable mention, The Secret Fire by Mark Stavish http://hermetic.com/stavish/essays/secret-fire.html All the core Hermetic documents: http://www.hermetics.org/library/Library_Hermetic.html The Corpus Hermeticum, Emerald Tablet, and Chaldean Oracles are great places to start.
  18. A bold voice in Baltimore

In other news, this guy was easily the highlight of the riots. BALTIMORE — In the middle of rioting in Baltimore Monday, a man identified as Dimitri Reeves took to the streets to "spread love and peace" through dance. In various videos posted on Twitter and the web, Reeves can be seen dancing to Michael Jackson's "Beat it" in what appears to be near the area of Baltimore ravaged by rioting. dimitri the moonwalker tweeted spread peace and love not violence article
  19. A bold voice in Baltimore

Hi Gendao, a bit of a linguistic snafu on my point, just to clarify, 'regardless of race,' meaning dirt poor white Americans (Appalachian communities I believe are the per capita poorest in the country) will have an equally hard time getting an entry level manufacturing position or sales position as multi-generational black Americans as compared to 50 years ago - I myself am first generation american - my father literally worked 5 or so jobs, in addition to shcool, when he first arrived here but he also readily admits it would not be as easy now. And of course I realize these small businesses are created by the immigrants (Arabs, Koreans, Viets, Indians) with very little to NO government assitance and I also realize what hard work goes into those businesses and that there is a tremendous focus on education, family values, saving money, discipline, religion, tradition, the value of EXTENDED FAMILY, et al, in all of these ethnic groups; really things that are severely lacking in American culture in general again (these are the qualities that most likely account for the success of immigrant populations and all Americans sitting on their laurels can readily learn from these fresh populations), - please note I NEVER SAID ANYONE WAS A TAKER, please re-read the post. Thanks for pointing out the snafu it is laughable when i re-read ;D edit - i believe i also inadvertly answered your question, 'why cant any native born americans.'
  20. A bold voice in Baltimore

Hi Manitou, I'm not white, so i dont have that guilt, neither do i know what white america was like in the 50s, i was born 30 years after the fact lol, but im sure they (white americans in the 50s) had their own problems as we all do. As a man, what I do KNOW, is having a father figures is tremendously important for young men, nothing has to be perfect, like a leave it to beaver wonder bread family, BUT regardless how forward thinking you may be, as a MAN i cannot stress how important having the dad around is and until that issue is addressed, i do see a very hopeless situation indeed. Just my 2. God bless.
  21. Favourite Hermetic & Occult Books

Right now I'm really enjoying JS Kupperman's Living Theurgy: A Course In Iambluchus & Julius Evola's Hermetic Tradition, neither are shallow, goofy, or riding the coat tails of the Golden Dawn, great stuff. Also somewhat related got, Edward Edinger's Anatomy of the Psyche from the library, love his stuff.
  22. A personality test that doesn't suck

Yay, idealist.... I think how you answer these questions as so much to do with your parents. Thanks for the share!
