Groups that confine their cosmology/theory to the Corpus Hermetica and Fama will tell you the goal is simple, to become a conscious agent in the evolution of the One Thing, a Co-Creator with God - this entails the aspirant to be in line with the Good, and while some may call it occult apologia, the end goal must be to serve with God, to serve humanity and creation - to relinquish the mundane ego to the One Will. The reason why everyone's will is different is because everyone is at a different stage in their soul progression, there is no room here for losers that want to escape reality or get laid through 'teh magik'. IMO things got complicated with Crowley, true will, HGA, while he had some good stuff, his overall doctrine seems to obstruct the simplicity of classic Hermetic thought (edit: ie- just do the Work, live according to the four classical virtues, and assistance will be sent (as will tests), things will work out naturally without our stuffy little human will trying to strong-arm the the universe through barbarous words and incense, it's almost comedic in retrospect).

I was recently thinking time or the appearance of time, is nature's way of compartamentalizing different fields of creation - ie. a system itself creates a complete self dependant time field, so we are more less 'cut-off' from other 'pieces' - and cannot effect them and they us. This is in sharp contrast to the majority of spritual thinking, but if you examine most traditions everyone more or less hits some sort of void and figures that's it, where as it could just be an impenetrable field, sanctioned off, ring pass not.

Is there supposed to be a noticeable difference between the quality of qi on the left and right side, left feels heavy, right feels light. I've been attempting to circulate for an even distribution, but it always seems to reset to the default heaviness on the left side, especially in the left calf and foot. EDIT - Rather than heaviness a better description is HEAT.

Some of these things may apply, especially the sweets. i was also given a certain meditation, that really seems to be smoothing out the distribution of energy.

Quick update, sometimes the simplest solutions might be the correct ones, went to my local chinese medicine shop this morning, the man working there told me it's the way i stand, weight is unevenly distributed to left side

I think there is a wide gap between the psychological terror portrayed in this video and the average religious dogma most of us learn as children, especially when you understand the unseen dynamics behind what's going on in there.

Ok, I have reached a conclusion and developed a course of action : ) I will begin charting which days this sensation is noticeable during the work day, my mood, etc. I have been slacking on my records anyhow, so time to get that going strong again. (My other two high energy areas during the day hours are the crown of the head and brow). I will also (cross the fingers) go a week without coffee or cigs, and chart any noticeable effects during practice and the day hours, I suspect I will learn a few other things from this. Different practices, different subtle bodies perhaps? As far as the MP, I believe it is supposed the build the ToL in what they call the sphere of sensation (externally) although you are concentrating on the energy inside of the physical body in Regardie's procedure, not quite clear on the specifics but recall it being discussed in the Flying Rolls (I love that name). While i dont believe the differences between traditions are as great as perceived (for the most part the Spirit handles all these details after celestial initiation, for me the difficulty is learning to trust the process) it is related to the topic - circulating energies is important, alchemy is about extracting the life force of living thing, only to transfer it into the new medium, obviously in humans the question is how to transfer the essence to the medium, the essence that keeps us living without dying, in retrospect this might account for the restless days, and the days after where for all intensive purposes it was the equivalnet of a spiritual hangover, and we are as good as dead - so you must provide the body with more energy, more heat to continue the work, no?

So a simple question; is the energy in it's natural state divided as such?

HI all thanks for all the advice, I have taken note of all things. Perhpas heaviness is the wrong term, it's really the best I can come up with - it's difficult to assign a word to the qualities of qi, but more or less during particularly deep rituals it literally feels like the energy is split into two halves, however when the energy is clearly recognized is when I am able to circulate. Besides that, I am very good physical condition, not overweight, am able to do very difficult strnegth, resistance, endurance excercise, and I laugh often, even at myself - but oddly enough I probably drink too much coffee and smoke 5-7 cigs a day, ironic I know - however i do not drink alcohol. Sounds like I should keep working on the circulations and make sure I sleep on my right side, if the right side is lunar and left solar, it makes sense that the energy is more prounonced on the left.
