Hi Ogasmic 19, First off have never experienced OBE,or experience in such matters,other than one's personal imagination. Watched Dr Strange,plenty OBE in that. Even if one is adept at OBE,fun maybe,to what purpose? Best case scenario v worst case scenario?

Where is cultivated chi stored and how do you get it there?

Where is the energy stored? A river has energy but doesn't store it. That's what I've become,no storing beyond what accumulates naturally. Practice breathing in energy,feel it,but release it to ground,the flow. That's my practice breathing no storing. That and the occasional Om if feeling a little tense. Chanting Om continues to enchant me,the first Om nearly always makes me laugh feeling self conscious. If you proceed the sound is so complete,tunes every organ,relaxes,there is no mind. When walking even after just a few hundred meters energy accumulates in the hands a bit. Celibacy and fasting seem to increase energies which is good for getting chores done. Mindfulness is not quite constant and never far away. Smiling and listening seem to also to gather energies. -
There are many unknowns. Please add posts that not many would know. Recently have become fascinated about salmon. There is a remote archipelago known as The Kerguelen Islands,south west of Africa. Salmon were introduced to these islands early 1900s. The Salmon have thrived and have colonised new rivers on there own. Even the first year has seen the return of the salmon. Over three thousand dams have already been removed across USA,freeing miles of river. Bears and deer,birds,all manner of wildlife is returning to the river. Silt run off has restored beaches,crabs and fish at the sea entrance have returned. The wild nature of rivers seems to benefit wildlife and tribes living there for Millenia.

Spinning on a disc,the further from the centre the faster you stream through life. As you near the centre you speed is reduced to stillness at it's centre point. Feel the stillness of life when centred,you have so much my time for life. This is our path reaching one's centre.

Hi y'all, Cultivation is working on something,towards some perceived goal or ambition. Or like the author there is no goal and cultivation of self is really just a good way to relax. Logic seems to not apply,so yeah we cultivate just small patches of the human garden,to continue metaphor or analogy. Then these patches are again neglected,so weeds sprout because there still many seeds lying dormant. There no barrier to be cultivating all day and night,24/7 to use the modern term. So over an extended period,even the dormant weed seeds become few or even totally weed free. Compassion,mercy,love,goodwill,trust,honesty,mindfulness,these are the seeds that can now thrive.

A neighbor had the ducks,she moved away and left the ducks behind. The ducks were gifted to me but they move about as they please. No the rooster does not duck the ducks,we'll never seen such a sight.

Hi Brian, From outside looking in at USA health care. USA are always the first to provide health care to the world when any disaster occurs. To bad they can't do the same for Americans. Universal health cover should be a basic service available to eveveryone.

Hi DB1, The doing farmer whistles his dogs 'Donga Gunya get in the back'. Then jumps in his ute he must shift the cows gather them in open gates and herd the cattle as quickly as possible cause he is running late and there are many more chores to be doing,this farmer is busy. He sends his dogs out,'Get back,way back'he yells out to the dogs. Well cows mob together quickly,cause we call them dogs,the cows only see wolves. Anyway things don't go so well.Donga has caught up to the mob and is holding and swinging off the tail of a young steer. 'Come back'whistles his dogs,as Donga releases his hold on the tail of the steer.Well he was air born and rising as he let go,so had little control and he crashed into some obstacle and broke his front poor,and began to limp back to the ute. 'Bloody,bloody,double bloody'says the farmer knowing he will have to visit the vet. Only half the mob changed paddocks,the other half split back and now have not stopped on reaching the far boundary fence. The mob or half the of cattle were in with next doors cattle.This will take some doing to fix he thinks,but first the vet. The non doing farmer has to shift his cows to the next paddock. The cows know the non doing farmer has no dogs and only sometimes uses his ute. So the farmer walks practicing his style of body energy,reaches the gate where he would like to have his cows walk through and opens it. Then keeps practicing and returns home for a cup of tea. Later that day the farmer again begins his walk back to the gate and closes it,cause all the cows have moved to the new paddocks all by themselves,without even knowing that's what the non doing farmer wanted.

Thanks spotless, Fasting,exactly as you say. Also daily,well it,s not really fasting,more like one meal per day routine. When at work,lunch is the main meal then maybe light snack in evening or nothing. When at home one meal in afternoon,coffee in morning. Sometimes when it,s cold weather will have three meals,mostly just one. Everything changes when you restrict food intake. Body energies are buoyant,mind clarity,everything is better.

Hi Orgasmic19, Your post has brought back so many memories of a four year personal struggle of a similar injury. silent thunder also gives a description of healing,determination and survival,thankyou both. Pain will be with you for some time,so learn to survive despite the constant pain. According to the medicos,your hernia will heal in about six weeks,if you stop aggravating the injury. It was four years for myself,2001-2004. No I refused to see a doctor about it until 2003,CAT scan revealed two herniated discs. Constant pain the whole time,day and night,reduced sleep as the pain would wake you. After about six weeks after the initial injury,after lying on the floor all those weeks. There was a decision point,where I decided to get up and walk,I was crying openly,taking baby steps walking around yard. I learnt to walk with the pain as my guide,it was very constant,it was my personal internal world. Refusing to take any pain killers was also a choice,during first weeks,did try paracetamol which was ineffective as it caused constipation,so made back pain worse. Financially it was a decision to return to work,as I was a casual at the time,had no sick leave. The first day back at work was difficult,I decided to keep my injury to myself,that is no moaning in pain,found a balanced posture was helpful,even smiling when appropriate was a temporary relief. For brief periods when focussing on work at hand,there was relief. Eventually I started using ibuprofen,it did help,then after three years,had the scans,quizzed the doctor about a 24hr slow release anti inflammatory.Now these were terrific,didn't touch the pain,did make movement less clunky,yes I learned to abuse these. Drug abuse,taking up to three of these 24hr slow release capsules a day was the best I had been for years. It did churn your stomach quite a bit,but I just didn't,t care,really felt terminal by then,after three years it does feel permanent. Then about six months before healing I had a change in attitude,I stopped doing nearly everything.Stopped all physical duties other than walking,this was nescessary cause I think I was constantly aggravating the injury,by doing things. Then I decided to put on some weight,burgers,beer,forced fed during couple weeks holiday,got a permanent job by then. My fat reserves were very low,after shedding as much weight to reduce lower back stress. Oh yea,nearly forgot,haha,my left leg was numb from hip to big toe,so just standing with 70-80% weight on right leg,still with constant pain,it was a real trip.There was a mental side,there were highs and very real lows,yeah you can put constant pain to one side,but you only do it,through lack of alternatives. Beer,burgers,chips,I quickly put on weight,stopped sitting on couch,still don,t,the floor was best. My body did heal,still feeling so fragile for so long,it took another year or two,to have physical confidence,healed. Probably the most significant experience of my personal growth,in hindsight it created awareness in body energies,leading to more and more chi,and chi gong.left leg numbness took longer to resolve, has gone after learning chi cultivation,maybe just 1% numbness remains. No advice,you will journey as you must through your ailment,this is your path.

It takes 22 minutes driving to work,I used to make myself anxious just thinking about work. Then one day I started chanting usually just Om. Found I would arrive at work refreshed,without preconceived ideas. Then after some time,few months or so. I started directing the resonance to my ears then eyes,found it would tickle quite a bit,later to subside. Om as loud as you like,feel the vibrations,it does chill,then smileling is easy. Asleep in no time,six side to box my head. Front,side,back,side,bottom,top. Then look into primordial vista. Reverse breathing at the same time,then wake refreshed.
