Why Buddha Statues? The Buddha statues or Buddha imagesare not only the physical representations or depiction of how Buddha was physically but are the symbol of Buddha's teachings, fortune, inner peace and motivational factor for every human being. It is believed in the Buddhist world that chanting or praying in front of the Buddha statue gives one some sort of inner satisfaction which in turn gives peace to the mind, heart and soul. As Buddha is not just a name but a title, Buddha statues represent how one can attain the full understanding of life in the deepest way possible. A Buddha statue triggers and reminds one of his or her vows to preserver his or her spiritual as well as meditation practice. At the same time, Buddha statues purify the mind, builds up the serenity within oneself and motivates to overcome the negative emotions of fear, greed, jealousy and hatred, hence uplifting the mind and focusing the attention on the reality of the materialistic world. The followers of Buddhism have a strong belief about a Buddha statue as the most important source of communicating self-discipline and peace of mind. Similarly, it is widely believed that having a Buddha statue in and around the house helps a person to bring out the best possible outcomes in terms of the spiritual journey as well as the positive aura among the ones that are around the statue. Buddha statues for meditation Buddha statues also emulate the air of motivation among the meditation enthusiasts. Many people who are very passionate about meditation are known to have owned at least one Buddha statue as they look up to the Buddha as the source of inspiration to pursue their meditation goals. It is believed that Buddha statues help one to be focused in meditation, ultimately helping him or her to achieve the higher heights of meditation as the Buddha himself attained enlightenment by practicing meditation. https://www.burmese-art.com/blog/reasons-to-have-buddha-statue

Countless eons ago, having made many offerings, Maitreya took bodhisattva vows from the Tathagata Great Power in front of many other buddhas. From that moment on he has led countless sentient beings to enlightenment, guiding them along the path of the three higher trainings of discipline, concentration and wisdom by means of the three vehicles: Shravakayana, Pratyekabuddhayana and Mahayana. While practicing as a bodhisattva he specialized in the meditation on great love. He not only taught this path to others but also meditated upon it continuously himself, often stationing himself at the gate of a city and contemplating deeply on loving kindness. His meditation was so powerful that people passing by close enough to touch his feet would themselves receive the realization of great love. This greatly pleased the tathagatas of the ten directions, who rejoiced in his actions and predicted that in all his future lives as a bodhisattva and a buddha he would be known as “Love” [skt: Maitreya; Tib: Jampa]. This is how he received his name. http://fpmt.org/mandala/archives/mandala-issues-for-2010/april/who-is-maitreya-buddha/ Many on the bums would know of Maitreya-Buddha,I did not until a few weeks ago. Several sources state that MB has had many incarnations and is expected to return again soon. Over the history many have claimed to be MB,only to be executed along with the followers. Love and kindness discuss. Edit:Searching the Internet can take you on some interesting sites of further discovery, would appreciate links posted on this site for others to discover saving our often limited present moment. http://www.khandro.net/book-womenofwisdom.htm

At first it was the swans that kept pulling up the tree tubes soon after planting, then soon after replanting we had a lot of water similar to what happened last winter that killed off the other trees.

Hi Nungali, house unlocked, even when we go away for a few days. usually leave car unlocked as well with keys in it. about ten years ago,one Sunday summer morning young son comes to inform."there is a man in the lounge room" no panick, got up,and sure enough it was a man in our house. there was no intent or malice from either,he asked about the neighbor,I politely indicated that he had the wrong house,so he was on his way.Still feel I should have offered him a coffee or something. sadly that man successfully suicide some years later, may he rest in peace.

Edit didn't really work out. so add here. We live at the ene of a road, which winds up a hill about 500 yards, there is a lot of energy surging up this hill. We have placed our Buddha statue face this road in front of the house, which has brought tranquility with this energy.

Water is of major importance to all living things; in some organisms, up to 90% of their body weight comes from water. Up to 60% of the human adult body is water. According to H.H. Mitchell, Journal of Biological Chemistry 158, the brain and heart are composed of 73% water, and the lungs are about 83% water.Dec 2, 2016 google extract

You have chosen well as captain coach of The Game of Family, leaving nothing left for other games gives focus. getting hurt is part of the game, which adds challenge,so we learn to 'dig deep'within ourselves and offer encouraging understanding, and still more to learn after when the neighbor 'has the ball'retrieving it from his brocken window.
